If everyone's so worried about the company, they should just have Bridget work her magic on Google by searching for "quick ways to save the family business." A gift like hers shouldn't be wasted.

BWAH-HAH-HAH!
Hey, who spit all that tequila and tonic all over my keyboard? Oh, never-mind.

And I must say, Steffy rocks!

I'm no Donna fan, but I'm actually rooting for things to work out for her with Eric.

I am too, because the Scooby gang and their meddling make it hard not to pull for her. I still think Eric is gross to go after Donna less than a week after his son broke up with her, and stupid considering why they broke up to begin with. Quite frankly, if she did have some true skeletons in the closet, it would serve Eric right. But the self-righteousness of his kids comes close to rivaling that of ATWT's Snyder clan lately.

Loved, loved, LOVED today's episode.

Steffy telling Feebles not to act like she's 12. (I wish Steffy had arrived months ago to deliver that advice.)

You and me both. I'm liking her more and more. From telling Feebles to grow up, to standing up to the stooges and stating that Marcus being Donna's son was not a scandal, she's a breath of fresh air. And kudos to Eric for agreeing with Steffy and understanding where Donna was coming from by not saying anything. Speaking of which....

Dear Felicia,

Donna didn't break up your parents marriage. That was all your mother's doing, you know, the one you and the other 2 stooges try to paint a picture of holiness and sainthood? Even if Donna wanted to break up their marriage, due to your mother's lies and manipulations, she wouldn't have had to lift a finger. So quit being a whining bitch, tell the other 2 stooges to grow a pair and man the fuck up and stfu. Mmmkay?

Not so sincerely,

What was really ridiculous was Ridge trying to lecture Steffy about her lack of loyalty to her family. I say "trying" because she gave him a PERFECT smackdown--and without being rude or disrespectful to him either, how refreshing.

I wish someone WOULD make race an issue--Ridge can start lecturing Marcus about staying away from Donna, and one of the self-righteous three can start snarking at Donna about Marcus--and as much as she dislikes Donna, I'd actually like to see STEPHANIE of all people defend her.

Ditto. While I'm still a little squicked out about their relationship (she hooking up with Thorne, Eric having past relations with mom Beth and Brooke), Eric obviously cares about Donna and vice versa. Eric's line to Ridge, "Oh I'm sorry Ridge, you're disappointed" was executed beautifully because it said it all. The stooges plan to prove that Donna was a lying hussy who would bring shame upon Eric and the company backfired and left them standing there with egg on their faces.

What was really ridiculous was Ridge trying to lecture Steffy about her lack of loyalty to her family.

Right along with Ridge telling her how Marcus made her an accomplice to his lies. Steffy took it upon herself not to say anything because it was Donna's story to tell--not hers.

JMW is still occasionally hitting the odd acting beat (the "I don't want you to go" scene from Thursday's episode for instance), IMHO, but for the most part she seems to be warming to the mini-Felicia thing. Which is probably what Steffy should be, going back to the last time the Twins were on the show at the same time (which added a little bite to her whole "I've been gone for the last three years and now you're being parental?" thing with Ridge)...and it showed Phoebe being a little more territorial as well, which isn't necessarily a bad thing either.

I'm just surprised Steffy and Phoebe aren't feuding over Marcus--well, in that way.

In all honesty, though, I wouldn't have minded Eric being a little publicly mad at Donna for not telling him about her son...and then promptly telling his kids that it was all between him and his wife and for them to kindly bugger off and go sew something. But I suppose I'll settle for kind, doting Gandalf--while waiting to see how this marriage will really implode, of course.

As for poor Beth...dammit, people! Storm dies by his own hand, Katie nearly dies--twice--and now, in a sense, Beth is about to die. All in just over two months. Even though Robin Riker actually rocked the confession scene like crazy--we have officially reached the level of Medical Emergency Overload. What the hell comes up next, Stephen loses a limb in a freak window accident? A breast cancer scare for Brooke (or Donna, for that matter)?

I guess Marcus is six years too young for ol' Feebles.

I hope it's not a cancer scare. This show has used that chestnut way too many times, right along with doing things "for the children."

While I know it would never happen in a million trillion years, but how fun would it be for Steph to turn some of that gangsta shit onto her own grown ass children for being all up in Eric's bidness and not minding their own?

Like I said earlier, I have a sneaking suspicion that Stephanie's going to end up defending Donna in all this. She already didn't seem too thrilled or enthusiastic when Ridge told her what they were going to do.

I really like the actors that portray Steffy and Marcus. They seem very sincere. They might not be the greatest actors yet but they are trying.

Someone mentioned that RR has an almost affected way of acting which seems to be true. But she tore me up on Friday.

I'm the one who said her acting was very affected, but I agree with you that she was incredible (!!!) on Friday. I also thought it was Heather Tom's best acting since her dad-in-prison scene.

So is Beth also going to take up residence at Casa Moron-ey? There's no way the Logan sisters are going to say to her, "Well, okay, if you want to go die alone in Paris, we'll let you go. Take care!" Plus, they need to explain to her that Bridget the Wonder-Doc has the miracle cure for all ills. She's done residencies in ob/gyn and cardiology, so she must also have completed a residency in gerontology in her spare time. Not to worry, Beth! Help is on the way! Nick should just rename his place "Casa Logan."

Is it wrong of me to think her pairing with Ridge would be, like, the best thing ever? The self-righteous bullshit Brooke spews regarding Taylor/Rick would be beans compared to the seeing her mother in bed with her fiancee. Epic justice, IMO, which she's had coming for years.

Ridge (or Nick in this case, but I think he's exempt) even just kissing Beth would actually complete an unholy trilogy of legally acceptable ew--the mother, the daughter, and the granddaughter. Which is precisely why they'll never go there with him...on the assumption that Beth actually survives whatever's coming, that is...

Word, that last scene on Friday with RR and HeaT was worth all those quizzical stares that RR was doling out the week before. The acting styles on B&B are so uneven, it's unusual to have two really good actresses in a scene together.

You just know Beth will start whining to Nick about a horrible anniversary dinner or something else that has traumatized her for years, and good old Nick will recreate the event for her dying wish. Then there will be an entire show devoted to flashbacks of the previous day's episode, and Beth will be magically cured just in time to battle her daughters and grand-daughter for the man they all love.

I put nothing past these writers regarding Beth hooking up with Nick or Ridge. But since there seems to be nothing else on the horizon to break up Eric and Donna, I'm guessing good ole Mom might be it.

A Hope sighting today! Just when we were saying where the hell are Brooke's kids. I'm surprised that Hope doesn't call the nanny "Mommy."

Yep, and not so realistic for a person combatting dementia, to be that quick-thinking. I don't think they can realistically kill her off within a year unless she has a major stroke. I had a close relative with dementia and it was a slow and painful process that lasted 16 years. Definitely very sad--one of the worst ways to die.

And Katie telling Beth, "This is L.A.--there are miracle cures here every day! All the top doctors are here!" Riiiiiiiight. Paris is in the dark ages, huh? Tiny little village like that...not a doc in sight. But L.A. has BRIDGET, let's not forget! Get the laptop out, Bridget! We've got an emergency here and you can find the hidden cure for dementia that is eluding the rest of the world!

Hope is still adorable (IIRC, she's supposed to be turning six this week, no?). I'm glad she hasn't be SORASed yet, but I guess the show couldn't do that without losing the Brooke/Bridget/Deacon factor. Then again, we're supposed to believe that Brooke is forty and her oldest son is a year shy of his 30th birthday, so....um, yeah. :/

What Bill C, you're doubting Bridget's doctorin' skills? ;)

Really, I hope they didn't bring Beth back just to kill her off. And I've had enough of Logan family medical issues.

This show has so many other sl possibilities if they'd use characters they already have, especially the females. Put Ashley and Felecia in a love triange with anyone not named Nick. find Bridget a hot young doctor.., Bring in someone for Beth and Jackie to fight over, Marry Brooke and Ridge or Brooke and Nick, either one, at this point I don't care, just make it for good this time. It doesn't have to be all Forrester or all Logan all the time.

It doesn't have to be all Forrester or all Logan all the time.

That's just it. There's no one on the canvas that isn't Forrester or Logan/Marone anymore. Even the few Spectras that haven't been killed off have been MIA for months. Last time I saw Clark was right after Jackie bought Spectra and CJ was around for a few months last summer so that there's be a reason for Feebles and Uncle Rick to sing karaoke. And now that I think about it, what happened with Jake? I didn't watch this character during his first appearance on this show, but he seems like too big a character just to have been tossed to the side like he has, from what I've heard of his history.

Hell, even the Forresters themselves, including Ridge, seem to be playing second string these days to the Logans, especially Saint Katie. Not that I particularly miss Brooke and Ridge and their absolutely wonderful relationship *snort* but for better or worse, they *have* been this show's cornerstone relationship, and it seems like TIIC have run out of ideas to move this couple forward or bring conflict.

ETA:

Speaking of Forresters, I came across this clip...I think this happened a few months before I started watching this show in '99 (Probably in the winter or spring, when I was in school), because by summer Stephanie had most definitely made made a Soap Opera Rapid Recovery™. Anyone have any info about what cause the "permanent" paralysis?
