Just saw the trailer today. I briefly remember hearing the name, but I'm intrigued now. Apparently, this is based off of a British mini-series of the same title, in 2006, that also starred Mark Strong. He's always been one of my favorite actors, and I'm looking forward to seeing him as a lead on American television. Lennie James is also in it, who I also love (and is no stranger to AMC shows, as he plays Morgan on The Walking Dead.) Judging from the trailer, it has a few other recognizable faces as well, like Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Castle, Law & Order), and David Costabile (Suits, The Wire, poor Gale from Breaking Bad.)
No set airing date yet, but it's suppose to be sometime this summer. I can't wait to see it. Anyone see the British mini-series? If so, would it be worth checking out?

I watched the trailer as well. I was initially uninterested even though Lennie James is in it, because of the description. Then I thought it might be worth watching, but the trailer didn't impress me much. But watching the trailer again, Low Winter Sun has Erika Alexander in it (who you may remember from shows like Living Single) as "Louise 'LC' Cullen", and Erika has been doing some awesome things. So I'm going to support this, even as it makes me long for Gang Related.
Looks like the release info is still just "Summer 2013".

I hope it doesn't effect the return of Hell on Wheels because it isn't officially summer until Anson Mount graces my TV on Sunday night. Lennie James and Mark Strong are definitely draws and, although I like neither of their other flagship shows (Mad Men and Breaking Bad) I'm still willing to take a shot on AMC. The only possible downside: if someone did something bad, obviously it's David Costabile. ;)

I checked out the description on AMC's site and it sounds interesting to me. BTW it's Low Winter Sun. According to the site there's no specific premiere date yet but the first season will consist of ten, one hour episodes airing sometime this Summer.

Lennie James? I'm in.
I believe AMC has moved HOW to Saturdays.
