The gimmick of introducing the winners to the audience was fantastic showmanship by TPTB. 19E got one very, very, right.

The victory song was another excellent move. What a shift for so many wannabes when they are in a moment of affirmation and are not scared to death of being judged and/or expelled. Best collective singing in memory.

I can't believe I am typing this, but this was the best results format for any reality show I have ever seen.

Yay, no Wildcards! Bit shocked at that. Liked the new format also.

Could of done without Janelle and Curtis, but overall it's a very good Top 10.

Rooting for a Top 5 of Angie, Burnell, Amber, Kree and Devin.

I'm glad for Charlie that he got eliminated as part of a group and not individually. On the other side of the coin, I thought it was sweet of Ryan to take a few seconds to talk to each contestant and try and calm them before the screens opened.

I wish there actually had been a wildcard and Nick and Breanna had been put in. Ryan's little aside at the end made it seem like #6 boy and #6 girl would be fighting for a spot on tour, not in the competition.

I thought it was awesome that they tried so hard to stack the boys side with everyone but white guys, and the first person through was Paul :)

Wow. No wildcards. I'm shocked Nigel didn't find a way to give us Pretty Aubrey or Pretty Breanna.

Nice format, and I'm fine with 8/10. I can't take much more of Curtis and Lazaro isn't high up on my 'like' list either. I'm hoping for a Candace, Angela, Kree, Amber, Devin & Burnell Top 6. I would have went with a Top 5...but I like Amber too much to not have included her.

Watch Kree/Angela/Candace receive the 'Jessica Sanchez Memorial Top 7 Week Save'. One of the girls will bottom out, after a few fodder guy eliminations. I fully expect Paul, Lazaro, and Curtis amongst the first out in any order. Janelle too, as long as she's picking her own songs.

So I got the girls right and I got the guys wrong. Thank goodness Charlie didn't make it. Bummed that we're losing Vincent and Breanna. I would've traded Curtis for Vincent and Janelle for Brianna.

So America gets to pick the 11th spot on the tour?

At first I thought I would like this type of results reveal, but honestly? We got a lot of strained crying voices tonight and most of them sounded off, except Kree, Candice, and Devin. And all three of them nailed it. Perhaps TPTB decided this so that we'd hear some damn uptempo numbers finally. The reveals dragged after a while, which is why Kree and Amber were practically pushed out of the doors to perform.

With the exception of Janelle and Curtis, I'm satisfied with the top ten. From a talent stand point it's the girls too lose. None of the guys can touch Kree, Candice, Amber or Angie. I was bummed that there wasn't a wildcard as it makes everything interesting.

Poor Charlie, I thought he was going to have a nervous breakdown. I watched squirm, cracked his knuckles and his eyes welled up when Lazaro was picked last. I don't think he could of handled the pressure.

I agree. I think he's the real find of this season and tonight showed that he's really invested in these kids and is a genuinely sweet man.

Also..those victory performances. Burnell Devin, Kree, Candace, and Amber NAILED them. For the first time in 12 seasons, Amber made "I'm Every Woman" great with her charisma, and runs. Kree was in a league of her own, glad they saved her for last.

Not a bad top 10 at all.

I would change Curtis for Nick and Janelle for Zoanette (Yes, I said it).

Best of the night:
1. Candice- She's going down all right. All the way down to the finals if she keeps that up
2. Burnell- He is ready for love, and I'm ready to give it. That was great. There's something about his voice.

Devin and Amber were also good.

I don't know if a boy or a girl is going to win this, but I think it's safe to say a minority will probably win. Candice, Burnell, Amber and Devin all have a good shot if they play their cards right.

I think Angie was pimped too hard to make it all the way.Kree has a small chance if she keeps it interesting like she did tonight with an uptempo. I guess we'll see.

Well, I'm pretty satisfied with this Top 10. I think America got it right. I predicted 9 out of 10 who made it through correctly (Devin was the one I didn't get).

Ah, the power of the country vote prevails. Paul, Kree, Janelle all made it. It'll be interesting to see how long they all will last. Kree has the better voice, but Janelle has more of that sweetheart personality, and Paul is a cute white guy lol. We'll see. I thought this was the best that Janelle has sounded in the past two weeks. Maybe the relief of finally making the top 10 is all that she needed.

I'm happy that Amber made it through. But I'm already predicting her to one of the first ones out. Same with Curtis. I just don't think they have the fanbase that the others have.

Whoa at Kree! Was not expecting that song out of her. She was good.

I'm very much satisfied with the results (though still not a fan of Curtis).

The top 5 girls are great (though Janelle is like whatevers). Boys, I'm only a fan of Lazaro and Devin. I like Paul and Burnell too. A little.

I would have definitely had exchanged Nick (so bummed about him not making it through) for Curtis (whose attitude is an absolute turn off).

If the 11tth spot is only for the Tour, and since I've attended American Idol Tour for years, I would get behind seeing Charlie there (in all his awkward, entertaining and unique glory). The very least bring some fun and uniqueness to the Tour! And im sure he would do great without the pressures of competition. The only other person I'd like in the tour is Nick (I love his voice).

How crazy would a Charlie vs Zoanette sing-off be to make the tour?

I wish they could both join up for the tour. Charlie to bring his "Nature Boy" weirdness and Zoanette so I can experience the "Circle of Life" with pyrotechnics and a baby lion and that great scary booming voice in all its glory.

Wow! No WGWG!!!

I don't think there were any WGWG in the semi's. With piano maybe, but nobody has impressed me on the piano since Matt Giraud.

Janelle, yuck. She better not McKibbin her way this season.

I wish Ellijah had made it instead of Lazaro. He gave me the asian Bruno Mars vibe, versus that pink pony sob story. Curtis is there to out "run" the ladies.

I like the top 10 with the exception of Curtis. I hope he doesn't turn every performance into a revival. Do the top 10 now get stylists? I hope so. I love Candice, but her outfit was not good tonight. Didn't seem to fit, she kept tugging and it looked awkward. But that girl can sing! I look forward to hearing more of her. Amber was good, too, and looked so cute. Forget the name of the other girl I liked. Aubrey? She was standing aside of Zoanette at the end. The only disappointment for me tonight was Cortez. I was rooting for him over McChurchy.

I always feel bad for whoever is cut, even if they weren't a favorite of mine.

Are they only taking 1 more next week? Or one girl and one guy?

Janelle struck me as most disingenuous (sp?). She was SO not surprised or charmingly grateful for that moment. The sense of enititlement turned me off in a big way. Curtis Finch Jr can join her in that for me. Ok with the rest, most grateful that we have no obvious Vote for the Worst Zoanette and Charlie spots.

ETA: Sweet Baby Jane. I keep telling myself I can spell, but sometimes I just don't know....

I like this top ten and I'm happy Devin made it. He's my second favorite going in behind Amber. The only one I can do without it Janelle. I would have preferred any of the other girls over her. But I'm satisfied.

Paul can still be a WGWG; all he has to do is get to the final round and pull out a guitar (even if he doesn't know how to play it).

I'm pretty surprised I got 8/10 right; all 5 girls and 3 guys. Not too bad of a Top 10. Hope they do well in the weeks ahead. Finally. About time.

Curtis. DANGIT. I'd trade him out for Vincent in.

Looking forward to this season, particularly to see how America embraces the first AI Top Ten without a WGWG. Me, I love it already.

My observations:

1. Curtis goes out first. I cannot watch someone who sings as if he's in need of a suppository.
2. The "save" being used on Amber, only to have Angela go home the following week in a shock boot.
3. How far will Paul go since he is the lone caucasian male sans guitar to make the fraus happy. My guess is not far.
4. Who will be the final guy standing when all is said and done?

As for the sing off to see who will be the opening act, good luck. It's not like I'm going to any of the shows.

I'm making the prediction now: top three will be Janelle, Paul and Kree. If Kree doesn't sing enough country songs, top two will be Paul and Janelle. Paul will win.

ETA: I forgot to say that I hope they keep the song of victory, rather than the song of shame when someone is sent home.

I thought this was a family show. We got Mariah's boobs constantly out to play, Nikki's humungous butt and Lazaro's OMG sized stimulus package. It's all too much.
Ryan is just the bestest host ever. The way he handled the Charlie meltdown last night sealed it. He seems like he really cares for these kids. I forgive him for the Kardashians.
Blond country girl irks mainly because I preferred the other country singer that was cut. One of the Beyonces should have been there instead. I'm cool with everyone else.
Devin needs darker hair. I loved his choice of song.
That Candice is a bad mammajamma.

Neither. Just a hilarious lack of testosterone going on. Ryan Seacrest has more manliness in one of his asshairs than this entire shameful cabal of poor man's Glee boys on display this season.

The format worked surprisingly well. No real surprises in the top ten, except maybe that Curtis and Burnell both made it. As for the victory songs, I thought Candace was the standout. I hope she keeps picking songs like that, and singing them like that.
