Man, is poor Cochran sunburned!

Someone forgot to tell Shamar which team he was on when Jeff announced the winner of the reward. I wish I knew which girl on Favs called Ta-Ta a Phillipino Jesus. That little man was a riot. Even if I couldn't understand most of what he said.

"Y'all gonna bring me rice once a day." Reminds  me of Abi.  Shamar is awfully high maintenance. He finally has a way out and at least he was graceful in his comments when they told him goodbye. Reynold had to get in one last dig as the boat pulled away. I hope his eye is OK.

Phillip kicked ass in the ball throwing contest. But I cannot help but laugh at his naming everyone and his whole demeanor. At least he wore trunks and not his pink panties. Though I did see some butt crack being blurred. Shudder...

Questions I was asking myself as they were talking before tribal: Why didn't Matt and Mike keep their plan to themselves, only discussing it with Sherri? Let Reynold think he's got to use the idol, then they vote out Laura. But, not knowing if there's going to be a tribe swap, do you put your alliance first?

Which, ultimately it turned out that way, but still.

Reynold and Eddie irk the hell out of me. Animals once again were on point when the green snake stuck it's tongue out when Reynold voted.

I'm sad to see Laura go. She made as strong a case for herself as she possibly could, what with the reference to tribal swaps.

Eddie, looks don't usually factor into people's voting criteria. Hope wasn't eliminated for being too pretty, which you should have realized.

Brenda and Erik are still ridiculously invisible so far.

I liked Laura's argument to be kept over either of the guys.

Glad to see Shamar gone. He was occasionally funny but was a huge drag for the team. His decision to take up most of the standing space on the platform made no sense to me. It's too bad that it was an injury that took him out.

Ugh at next weeks previews.

It's unfortunate that Reynold is so pretty because I hate him. Eddie seems like kind of a prat too.

I just could not with the eye exam. Too close, camera guy. Too close!!

After four episodes, I still don't know who Survivor!Sandra Bullock is. I thought before, she was Laura, but Laura left tonight, so now I'm just lost.

I've never quit on a Survivor, not even during Russell years (x3 bleh), or Colton, or anything that was really yucky, but this is the most boringest game ever. I know that Probst would say that goes to Fiji or Thailand but crikey Moses, I'm watching more out of habit. I'm not invested, I don't have any theories, or possible game strategies.

Next week...Oi. That looks like the crazy has hit the fan.

I forgot to mention - I hope Shamar's eye gets better. That freaked me out.

There's nobody worth rooting for. Really. I was thinking Brandon . . . he wasn't Section 8 like Philip, he knew Philip was a nutter, and I've said far worse on these forums than Brandon saying he'd piss in the rice. And then I saw the teaser. Seriously, how did Bunim-Murray Productions miss casting this guy?

Anyway, Gota doesn't have Shamar to kick around anymore, and guess what? They still suck, and I'm glad. It's just that the alternatives weren't any better, what with Eddie and Reynold's raging sense of entitlement. If I knew ahead of time Shamar was going out early, I would've guessed a back injury. Y'know, from when he went down on his hands and knees and let the others climb on him. I can't consider him to be Colton Redux, because he wasn't a total waste of a spot. Meanwhile, the only reason why Reynold had any power was because the production sucked at hiding idols. And now he gave that up, while the rest of the tribe voted for Laura. I think these fans are dumber than the ones from five years ago . . . and between Jason and Erik, that's saying something.

Meanwhile, I think the player most in pain has to be Francesca. She's in the Losers' Lounge, waiting for her ex-teammates to come by and tell horror stories of Philip going all Colonial Kurtz without someone like Rob to keep him in check. What does she get? Forty percent of Gota dropping by. I hate Philip. I hate "Stealth R Us." I was hoping Brandon would overcome Hantzitis, but that ain't happening. Unless Probst brings the bushman to Gota to even the odds, I don't think there's anyone worth rooting for on either side. I'm thinking Matt, but the beard is a turn-off. Too "Ruperty" for my tastes, even if he has a tenth of the entitlement.

ETA for cooksdelight . . . Shamar was in the middle of the pile, so he probably didn't hear Probst giving the win to Bikal. That wasn't a "Zoolander" moment.

Words I never thought I'd say. I like Phillip this season. I kinda get his nutty ways and so far (knock on wood) he's not so annoying. In fact, I feel that his whole 'stealth-r-us' gig has built some camp morale. Plus, he rocked the Survivor carnival-game-challenge (so did Reynold). Too bad for Shamar's eye, but I'm sure camp life will be easier for the Fans.

The vote was good. Laura had to go because she was so weak. The alliance is still majority and they did not loose the two strongest players. Well done.

Moronic decision by the fans. Winning challenges means nothing when you have two people who are going to defect at the first opportunity. Best case scenario - they win the next three to get to 6-6, then they merge and Eddie and Reynold will turn on the alliance of four. Or, more likely, there is a tribal shuffle and the alliance of 4 is virtually guaranteed a minority on both of the new tribes. Better to be a strong alliance of 5 than a weak alliance of 4 with two other tribemates around. If they lost the next two challenges they could always vote off Laura next.

I'm wondering how bad Laura actually was at challenges. It seemed that Sherri was the problem the last challenge, and Laura wasn't the reason they lost the previous one. She should have tried to scramble a bit more, though not sure there was anything she could do once Matt jumped ship.

Philip is really impressive in challenges this year. Can they vote off Brandon already? I am so sick of seeing him growl and gesture like he's a pro wrestler.

While I rather enjoyed the last few episodes, tonight was truly one of the worst, and this season is shaping up to be one of the most dreadful in years. I should've known what with Probst touting it as one of the best seasons.

Shamar leaving was boring. When Jeff asked him what he was thinking after being told he was being pulled from the game, I figured he was thinking "Thank God! Now I can leave, and I don't even have to play the quitter card!"

Reynold and Eddie can shut it with the whining to and about Laura at the beginning of the episode. Their target was always going to be Shamar unless there's some missing scene out there. They were just pissed that she played them. I'm sad to lose her, but she was pretty damn worthless in the challenges. I am happy that at least Reynold wasted his Idol.

The favorites are relentlessly boring. Can't they replace Phil and his ridiculous names with Ta-Ta? He was the only interesting thing about that whole tribe tonight.

Oh, goody, more Hantz histrionics next episode. Because I certainly haven't gotten enough of that family's "antics". Oh, wait, yes I did, right around the time Hantz #1 threw some socks in the fire.

Dreadful season.

Phillip outsmarted by Brandon. Priceless. He thinks he transformed into Boston Rob, when he is still the same old goat.

Goodbye Shemar. You will not be missed. That "bring me rice" command is going to stick to him.

Bummer fans. Going down in flames. Shemar would have been no help in that challenge. Sherri's missed tile doomed them.

Cootie Taw! Well executed Matt! Laura killed them at the reward. She seems very frail. I hope this livens up this rather dull season.

Next week: Brandon goes psycho. Lather, rinse, repeat.

And the dark haired woman on the Fans is Julia.

I do think Laura had to go, because she was the weakest link. Every challenge she was in they were worse off after her turn. I do hope Shemar's eye got better. I wanted him to get VOTED out, not quit or be medically ousted.

We all know that we won't see much of the favorites tribe (except for challenges and rewards) until it is their turn to vote someone out. I can always tell who will win the immunity challenge by which tribe we see the most of in the first half hour. Right now, they only have time to show us Philip if the favorites are going to win the challenge.

I think the show seriously needs to get new mental health professionals. There is no way Brandon should have come back this time.

This. They truly are idiotic.

Other best case scenario is Michael and Matt convince Eddie and Reynold it's Y-chromosomes to the end. But then Sherri and Julia probably smell what's up and flip. 4-person alliances in a 20-person game is bad play.

I guess 5 people + Eddie or Reynold isn't a wonderful scenario either, but you want as many allies as possible going into a switch. I'm really going to miss Laura!

Disagree. Eddie and Reynold would be stupid to deflect at a 6-6 merge, we all know what happens to those people. Cochran knows and anyone that watched recent seasons know. If you are going to flip you don't do it at the merge but later down the line. And I don't see the Favorites wanting to keep around the 2 strongest men come individual immunity time. They'd use those two for one vote, and then vote them out the following two tribals.

Brenda and Erik are still ridiculously invisible so far.

As are Corinne (who we only saw found the idol with Malcolm and that's it) and Juliawho?. Other than that, I don't have too much of a problem with the season thus far. Plus Shamar is already gone, here's hoping to the other crazies next week.

Thank you. that was driving me nuts! (But you know it's just going to be Sandra Bullock ;) )

Phillip's baseball stance was hilarious. But I also think it was also to give him a chance to catch his breath, and focus. (I may be giving him WAY too much benefit of the doubt).

My only hope here is that the post-merge play is as large a contrast as the first FvF was. Because that season was AWFUL until Cirie started controlling people's minds and crazy shit started happening after the merge. And then it became awesome.

I said to my Survivor-watching buddy, "They're going to fake us out that it's Laura," after the challenge, but then when I saw Matt and Reynold in the Player of the Week poll I said, "Actually, no, it's going to be Laura. That sucks!" Those polls always spoil, but usually not this bad.

I don't have anyone to root for except Malcolm anymore. Brenda and Erik obviously are non-factors, the invisible edit they're getting. I don't want to turn on Andrea, but she was annoying tonight. Every one of the 'fans' can go to hell. I guess I don't mind Julia, but she's as invisible as Brenda.

This could be the first Survivor season I give up on.

Some quick thoughts. I hope Shamar's eye recovers fully; that being said, g.f.r. It's a shame they had to go and lose the immunity challenge, giving the entitled Y-chromo's a chance at wedging the "alliance's" Y-chromo's away from Laura. (When Michael got his key, was he swinging at a broken tile? So perhaps Sherri wasn't the only "fan" to have to jump twice? With Eddie calling out Sherri as the next weakest competitor, this may be the editors giving his side ammunition.)

Laura's tribal comment had a huge Cassandra factor to my ear. Since I am generally against returning players, this is not good news.

As an admitted Andrea fan boi, I am discouraged by her edit the last two episodes. Last week it was, too hard too fast, against a member of her own majority alliance; this week it was being whiney. Now I'd be annoyed at Phillip giving those outside of Stealth R Us nicknames too, but the inclusion of those talking heads doesn't seem positive.

And again, I am torqued off that the few minutes we did get with the returning players was wasted on Secret Agent Man. Man I miss having a DVR. Dawn, Malcolm, and Corinne were invisible. Brenda and Eric only got a smidgen of time because St. Phil had to annoint them.

The morale aspect should not be underestimated. I've always loved watching those camp life bits in past seasons, but the more recent seasons seem to have dropped those segments from the show. I'm glad to see them return, and happy to see Philip being more positive than negative.

I also think Philip's tribemates are handling him extremely well. They are running with his security jokes, using his nickname during the challenges, and most importantly, giving him the anchor leg on all of these challenges.

Yeah, she and Malcolm are the last two people I like on the season, and she's getting a bad edit like we're supposed to be rooting for her comeuppance so she'll end up blindsided and Malcolm is getting the invisible athletic person edit that pretty much guarantees 6th to 8th.

EDIT: I didn't give up on fucking Colton's season (thankfully, hail Kim) so I won't be giving up on this, but it's bad.

They are invisible but they are getting any negative comments thrown them, though Andrea seemed to be pissed of the Philip was giving them nicknames. lol. They just need to get to the merge and then who knows what can happen. They really are the only two people I am rooting for at this point.

I agree with others who said this is a terrible season. Glad Shamar is gone, though.
