SIX REMAINING CONTESTANTS ARE FORCED TO FACE THEIR FEARS -- It’s “Face Your Fears” week, and the fear of leaving the ranch is the first one addressed when a “save your neighbor” challenge determines which contestant has to leave the ranch and go out on their own for the week – along with another player of their choice. One by one, with the help of trainers Bob, Jillian and Dolvett, each contestant is forced to face their fear – ranging from a fear of sharks to claustrophobia to a fear of singing in public. And they all face fear in a harrowing challenge off the top of a seven-story building that will reward the winner with the most coveted prize of all. Back at home, the kid participants are also facing their fears head on. Sunny’s very real fear of losing her Mom due to her mother’s weight prompts her to have a very difficult and emotional conversation, while Dolvett arranges for pre-diabetic Lindsay to face her fear of developing the disease by meeting someone with diabetes and learning about their daily challenges. On the lighter side, Biingo faces his fear of eating vegetables! Later, the weigh-in will reveal how the two players out on their own did this week, and will also determine who is leaving the ranch for good, leaving the final five contestants of the season.

Wow, I'm not a Gina fan by any means, but that was so many kinds of wrong to put Gina in that coffin.

And in contrast to Gina's coffin, Danni gets to sing in front of people who APPLAUD HER.

However, having said that in Gina's defense, dear god, how bitchy was she when she won that immunity. Jesus, quit screaming and be a gracious winner for once, damn. And enough with the fucking crying already.

Finally, Jillian has out-bitched her-own-self. She just could not stand it tghat Jackson and Jeff went off the ranch and actually coped with life AND lost weight. Isn't that the whole fucking idea? Yet Jillian looked genuinely pissed... because... it wasn't all. about. HER. > BLARG. Jackson, way to man up. Same for Jeff.

The kids...

I don't think Sunny should have humiliated her mom on national TV with the, "You can't even tie your shoes or go on a roller coaster." She could have left it at, "I love you, Mom; I'm worried about your health" ....at least on camera.

Biiingo -- holy shit, yet again I call big ass bowl of steaming bullshit. Really? Seriously? His "biggest fear"... I repeat - biggest fear is vegetables? Oh, please, DO give me a fucking break. Give him his Nick at Night TV show and let's be done with it.

Lindsay, bless her heart, diabetes IS a real fear. I felt for that child.

Took the words right out of my mouth. She was complaining because they learned something and showed they didn't need her to yell at them to do it.

Who knew vegetables were so scary.

The session with Biingo and his parents was all kinds of Bitch Please!

You just happen to sneak veggies into your fat kids meatloaf with the camera crew? OMG! Hey Mikey! He likes it! Whatever. I really don't care about this kid.

Sunny? Really not cool humiliating her mom like that. I'm sure the producers could have found a better way for her to have that conversation.

I've tried to give Jillian the benefit of the doubt at times, but she has really torn it with me in this episode.

So Jackson and Jeff had the nads to go out and successfully put into practice what they were supposed to do (ie lose weight >10 lbs each, stay on diet, resume exercise routine without her screaming in their faces) and they get dissed for it? Iow, they did what they've been taught to do -- and ALL she could do was bitch and find the negative. I'm done with her. That is all.

Geez..a few minutes with Jillian and an armchair counseling moment and Gina turns into nicey nicey. Her family probably does not care for her because she is a selfish, whiny, needy bitch (not because of her weight.)

I thought Sunny was putting on weight because of the pressure from her parents to do well in school and become a doctor and not because mommy was putting on weight.

Biingo and the fear of veggies. Seriously...

Not enough Dolvett tonight. I am not surprise that the contestants who had low weight loss last week had decent losses this week.

I am not shocked that Alex was sent home instead of Jackson. She does look good. Jillian, one day the contestants will need to go face the cold cruel world without you holding their hands or telling them to blame mommy and daddy (or in Gina's case, the rest of her family.)

Lindsay and the diabetes. Juvenile diabetes and adult diabetes are two different things. I would have rather Lindsay visit with a teenager who has diabetes and not an adult. Being overweight can affect a person's chances of getting diabetes but other factors play into it also. A person's blood sugar levels can be affected by a virus, sinus infection, thyroid problems and family history.

Next episode is makeover week. Blah!!! Thank God this season will be over in a few weeks.

What in the hell was Jillian's deal with Jackson tonight? It wasn't like he volunteered to leave just for fun, THEY WERE GOING TO SEND TWO PEOPLE AWAY NO MATTER WHAT! If it hadn't been him, it would have been someone else. I also noticed a distinct lack of yelling at her boyfriend Jeff, who also volunteered to leave.

I get that a week isn't always a week in Biggest Loserville, but it just makes things look extremely bizarre when out of the blue everyone is putting up double digits in week 9.

Gina in the coffin was the cruelest thing I've ever seen them do on this show. I felt sorry for her for the first time all year, and that lasted as long as it took for her to win immunity. Shut up Gina.

I know it's not right to be mean to children, but I've had all I can take of Biingo. If his biggest fear in life is a carrot, he's obviously had it pretty easy up to this point. Lastly, I can't see where any of the kids have lost 10 pounds so far, and I wouldn't be shocked if Biingo has gained weight.

Jackson's and everyone's greatest fear should be they go home---and Jillian comes too.

I agree that putting Gina in the coffin was way too much. Totally inappropriate.
I hated the falling from the building, too, and I wonder how quickly they could have intervened if a shark did come up.
Maybe they don't get many shark bites there. In Florida, they happen several times a year, enough so that you don't pooh pooh it as some silly, baseless fear, as Bob seemed to be doing.

You could always see that Alex is attractive, but she was really beautiful in the after shot. In a way I'm glad she didn't make makeover week, because it could be one of those years when everyone gets their hair bleached.
Remember what they did to Irene!

Jackson says during the elimination TH, "I left the ranch for a week. I'm not ready to leave it for good." Did Jillian get into his head? You are ready to leave. You lost 10 pounds by turning garbage cans into a workout. That's impressive dude! Go home and run, run from the ego that is Jillian.

Also, it bugged that not a single person stood up while Danni sang the National Anthem. Can't they at least coach Jillian to do that so the others will follow?

That Biingo segment was beyond ridiculous. A fear of vegetables so your mother is going to hide them in the turkey meatloaf? Reminds me of when I worked in the nursing home and the residents that were on a pureed diet were so desperate for veggies that we pureed the carrot into mush and shaped it into a carrot on their plate. Man up, Biingo, your life could be a lot worse. You can actually eat the vegetables you disdain so much.

I am so over those kids being on the show. Did this episode show how Biingo's mom had previously prepared vegetables? I've never met a kid yet that didn't like some vegetables that were prepared properly, and were introduced to vegetables at the same time they were introduced to everything else. That veggie-stuffed turkey meatloaf looked awful. If I was Gina, I'd be whooping and hollering, too, if I won that challenge against the younger and more in shape Danni. Jillian was just insufferable. I FF through her.

I like Jillian, and I really wish she hadn't returned. She's making it really hard to keep liking her. Jillian, their lives are more important than this game. Now, please, leave the show. Don't come back. It's turning you into a selfish, mean, laughable (and not in a good way), horrible person. Jackson made every bit of sense. You looked like an idiot. Even if he was voted off, he now has the confidence that he can do this at home. The game prize, which he is still clearly going for, is not the main goal.

Re Biingo and his paralyzing fear of vegetables, I have a feeling that all three kids' biggest fear was what the producers wanted it to be.

I agree. It was kind of funny to watch Biingo inspect the meatloaf, pretend to enjoy it, then pretend to be surprised it had vegetables in it. That's how it seemed to me anyway.

So glad that Jeff and Jackson were successful in their time off the ranch. I guess it just points out that after a certain amount of time the average contestant really doesn't need Jillian (or even Bob) shrieking or psycho-babbling at them to stay with the program. It really must have been a blow to their already over-inflated egos that the 2 guys had just as successful weight loss "week" as those who stayed on the ranch.

Oh my goodness, Alex looks wonderful! I think she looks the best of the voted off contestants so far.

I believe that Jillian's point to Jackson was that he needed to stop acting the martyr. She didn't buy his "I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it" line and realized that he did it so that Gina wouldn't feel like crap when everyone else choose her to go. I am glad that Jackson did well but the point was that Jackson needs to worry about himself and stop putting others before him. Granted, Dolvet said it in a way that made it clear what the problem was.

I think Jeff took less heat because Jackson had to choose someone and Jeff made a snap decision. Jackson campaigned to leave, Jeff spoke up in the heat of the moment.

I think the challenge should have been set up differently. Each person had to wall up their own picture. The fastest to do so were safe. Doing it the way they did was bound to make someone feel like crap and that is counter productive. Granted, Gina knew that she was going to be the one leaving campus because of her behavior the past few weeks. At least she is aware enough to know that she has been acting poorly and was able to understand why the team wanted her gone. And she was willing to apologize for her bad behavior.

How about next season we have trainers that focus on training, I actually heard Jillian discussing form with Joe this week, and bring on shrinks that work with the contestants.

I'll admit it - I liked them putting Gina in the coffin. It's not like she wasn't going to be let out. However...as soon as she started with her "I choose me" shit in there I was hoping it was time for the crew to go to lunch. For three hours.

Danni is a rock star and I call shennanigans that she didn't win either challenge.

Joe with sharks? Eh. But I still like him.

Wow, just wow. Gina is a real piece of work. So she smothers her family members with attention they don't ask for and when they don't fall down at her feet and worship her for it she throws an epic tantrum and cuts them off completely? Yeah, THAT'S healthy. She needs some serious help, not just the barely hidden eye rolls from Dr. Phillian.

Jillian's a piece of work, too. Barely hiding her annoyance with Gina during their "therapy" session and then going Atomic Bitch on Jackson? While I do agree that Jackson needed to get down off the cross with his whole "Please, vote me to leave for the week" but Jillian's timing and the way she went about it were b.s.

As for the "gone for the week", how exactly does that prove the contestants will be successful in the REAL world? I hardly call a week in a rental house with someone else paying all the bills and not having to go to a job or deal with family/friends/real stress is REAL life. It was more like a vacation from the drama of the ranch, which I'm sure is why Jeff chose to go. I know I'd much rather spend a week with jazz-hands Jackson then mega queen crazy twat Gina AND Dr Phillian/Mr. Michaels.

The coffin thing was just every bit as disgusting as when they would make the camera shake when the contestants fell down (or edit in booming sounds). OFFENSIVE. JUST because you're fat doesn't mean you're going to DIE from it. So I'm calling that B.S. right there. They could have addressed Gina's fear of enclosed spaces (I refuse to call it "phobia" because I don't think she has/had a true phobia, just a generic fear) with a small NON coffin box (and no wreath of flowers with her photo in the center--good fucking lord!).

Re: Francelina. She said she'd lost 100 lbs (she mentioned her start weight, which was something like 260). While she looked good, she didn't look like she now weighed 160 pounds. Was she counting weight she had lost on her own before the show? I don't begrudge her even one pound of her loss but I hate when they (contestants and/or production) do funky math like that. Annoying. Just be HONEST and say what you lost on the show (since that's all that will count when determining who wins the prize).

I'm totally over the kids (ALL of them), too. When Brat-go's family was gushing over his eating that "meat" loaf they showed exactly why he's he way he is (fat and bratty). They clearly think the sun rises and sets out of his chubby ass, which is disgusting. No, I don't even give his mother any credit for admitting her parenting fail concerning the veggies, either. That whole family irks and I dislike each and every one of them.

I actually liked Sunny's mother for her calling out the b.s. by saying "don't guilt me, that's not going to work". Finally, some truth. I think Sunny's mother really did respond to Sunny just being honest but the extra drama and embarrassment were not appreciated and I applaud the mother for saying as much.

Lindsay, god love her, is just too annoying. I was really trying to cut her some slack because she really does seem like a very normal (if not a bit shy/awkward) kid but the show has ruined her for me. She needs to just go away. Now.

I'm really ready for this season to be over. I'm calling Gina, Danni, and Mike (the tall guy?) for the final three (and I just don't want Gina to win because she annoys the crap out of me).

JLVerde, Francelina was on the Today Show yesterday (as all the eliminated contestants have every Monday) and her hair was STRAIGHT. Like long and straight - very different. She looked great and didn't discuss her hair.

Whole books have been written, one by Jerry Seinfeld's wife, about disguising vegetables in food so children will eat them. So I guess its more common than just Biingo. Although fear of vegetables seems a little far fetched.

Did Alex have a fear or did I just fast forward through it by mistake?

Was this a 10-day week, a 14-day week, or something in between? It was definitely a long week based on the weight loss percentages all being higher than usual.

STFU, Gina! And STFU, Jillian!

Gina has to make everything all about her. And she can't stop talking about herself, who she is, what she is, what she's doing, blah, blah, blah, into eternal tedium. She exhausts me, and I imagine that's what she really does to other people that drives them away. She's a total narcissist.

Speaking of narcissism, Jillian is a total control freak and drama queen, and in that regard she's been extremely self-indulgent the last two episodes especially. So Jackson and Jeff left the Ranch voluntarily for a week. They didn't go out for pizza every night and play video games all day - is it that hard to give them credit for managing a situation that's backfired on a few people? I guess it must be impossible since St. Jillian wasn't involved.

I thought Alex looked gorgeous in her "after" shots, but I still feel a loss in not having her and Francelina in makeover week.

I saw her on the Today show, that's one thing that I love about my natural hair is that when I straighten it, everyone thinks I have extensions or weave in it....not saying you said that....it takes forever to straighten and if you do it consistently it almost always starts to damage the hair, I usually do it once a year.

I was also put off with Jillian actually getting mad that Jackson and Jeff lost weight without her. I always think I would love to have a trainer, but I really could not take someone yelling at me, for some reason that doesn't motivate me at all.

I hate to say this, but the kids look exactly the same. I see no difference. I’m annoyed about how they are being coddled. That’s a big problem with kids today. Why can’t they be held accountable as well? Why aren’t they weighed in? Why aren’t they forced to work out for a certain amount of time every day? These kids are going to reach the finale looking the same as how they started.

Sunny, well that was one hell of a bitch moment for her. Listing off the things her mom cant’ do? Humiliating her mom wasn’t necessary and I’m so happy her mom spoke up. I thought, dam if cameras weren’t there, Sunny would have gotten a bitch slap from her mom. I get the sneaking suspicion that the cameras broke there for a minute to calm the mom down.

Gina, still annoying and I hated that she got immunity. I was yelling to Dani to hold on.

Jackson, risking your time on the ranch for your little experiment was STUPID. I agree with Jillian. His risk almost blew up in his face. She was self-sabotaging.

Alex, hated her, happy to see her constantly annoyed face go; but I have to say she looked amazing at home. What a difference a new haircut and some highlights do! She look stunning!

Ok, next week is makeover week, people are still pretty obese. I’m shocked we haven’t see much of a difference. Danni looks great, but that fat hiding tank they were at weigh in how helps. Last week she still had plenty of belly fat. I think they use those shirts to make them seem like they’ve lost more then they have. Jackson is still morbidly obese. The makeover will do nothing for him.
They better not make Danni’s hair blonde….that’s all.

I thought this was ridiculous as well. His biggest fear is vegetables? Really? Does he think they are going to come out of the fridge at night and attack him? Stupid stupid stupid. and the fact that his parents let that excuse fly for so many years is beyond stupid. Is this the first time her mom has heard about hiding vegetables in her kids food? How unhealthy can this family be? My kids are toddlers and I constantly give them veggies, hidden in their FOOD! Also dressed up in funny character to get them to love them.

Finally can say I like Jackson and Jeff. They were pretty funny - talking about what the others were doing and if the bikes would hole them up. I wonder what the neighbors were thinking when they saw them running with the garbage containers?

A couple of seasons back when Courtney and someone else went off the ranch to a spa, they ended up either gaining weight or only losing a little. Also, I recall further back a group went off the ranch and someone was smoking (Helen?). Jillian probably assumed the worst from Jackson and Jeff. She should have shut her mouth until after the weigh-in.

Bob should have chosen Biingo's fear - a day (at least) without video games. Fear of vegetables? Please.

I think the talk between Sunny and her mom were fair game, but the editors should have done a better job cutting out some of the more personal, hurtful elements. That does need to be a frank conversation, because Sunny is a teenager, and shouldn't have to edit herself. (It's hard enough to get them to talk anyway!) Just leave us with the general idea that Sunny is scared that her mom will get ill and die young because of her weight problem, which is a legitimate fear.

Lindsay wasn't headed for juvenile diabetes; she was on the road to Type 2 diabetes, just like her counselor had, which is a cyclical weight related hormonal imbalance. Losing weight often relieves, sometimes solves, the problem.

Add me to the list of stupefied annoyance at Biiiingo's fear being vegetables. If it is true what the hell is wrong with his whiny, coddling parents? Children have to be exposed to foods & often several times to develop a taste for different things. Brussel sprouts the first two times were a no, the next couple were just ok & after that my kids ask for them. It's called parenting, which requires work, not whatever the wittle baby wants. Geez. If I were the upstairs family members I'd be a little embarrassed at how ridiculously lacking in brain cells my family members appear.

Gina frustrates me but in a way I get parts of her. I totally understand the pushing away, especially if you've given a lot of yourself with no reciprocation. Then she wins & screams. Forever. I understand the initial excitement but shut up already. I thought the falling off the building looked fun but I'm not scared of heights.

Has Jill taken acting classes or has she always been so overly emotive to make points & I blocked it out? When Gina had her "moment" in the coffin Jillian facial & body expression of relief, joy & self-congratulation was a tad over the top. Me me me.

I FF'd through the shark attack. I just don't like Joe & felt like this: "Swimming. Blah, blah, blah… It's not my fear of sharks but my fear of losing control. Swimming. Blah, blah, blah… I now know that I can't be in control of everything & have to let go to be free & in real charge of my life. Swimming. Blah, blah, blah… Bob, I had a moment. Epiphany. I'm cured." Truly a fear of sharks? Put him in a cage & go shark diving. C'mon face you fear!

Ramble Jr. asked about my biggest fear & I told her it'd probably be my kids dying. She said she could imagine the BL trying to find actors that looked like my kids & trying to convince me they were sick and/or dying. Then she laughed & walked out of the room muttering about her huge fear of fruit.

First time I'm commenting this season!

I thought the Jackson/Jeff house thing was the best part of the show. The whole mood was lighter than at the ranch, and I loved seeing both of them really being themselves. It was especially sweet to see their numbers at the weigh-in! I echo all your sentiments about STFU Jillian-- and that's coming from a huge fan of hers. I loved that Jackson stood up for himself. He's coming out of his shell; a lot of them are. It's that time in the season when you can really start to see their weight loss, too. I love it. No more Toy Story T-Rex Jackson!

I think this was a longer "week" than 7 days. Everyone getting those big numbers? I call shenanigoats.

I was kind of glad to see Alex go. She's very pretty, but also kind of boring. I think Joe is kind of boring too. And a Craig T. Nelson lookalike.

I don't hate Gina (I mean shit, she's still a far cry from Conda), but I don't like her. That said,

The coffin thing was ... OFFENSIVE. JUST because you're fat doesn't mean you're going to DIE from it. ... They could have addressed Gina's fear of enclosed spaces (I refuse to call it "phobia" because I don't think she has/had a true phobia, just a generic fear) with a small NON coffin box (and no wreath of flowers with her photo in the center--good fucking lord!).

Double-word to everything JLVerde said there. The picture and flowers? Come ON. And the coffin? For a small woman who has had the biggest percentage of weight loss so far? Just, no.

Also,

I hate to say this, but the kids look exactly the same. I see no difference. I’m annoyed about how they are being coddled. That’s a big problem with kids today. Why can’t they be held accountable as well?

AGREED. I'm mostly just bored with the kids. And when Bingo's mother was like, "I feel like I failed him," I was thinking YOU DID! You should be eating your vegetables too, setting the examples! Try a little butter and salt on those babies, maybe some garlic, and yum! Jaysus, you people.

Thanks a lot, producers, for spoiling most of the makeovers in next week's trailer.

Danni is this season's Tara. Low-profile, low-drama, head down, nose to grindstone. Danni FTW.
