Sara becomes a suspect when a man she had an encounter with turns up dead; Sara feels the impact of her separation from Grissom.

Best part of this episode was the last few minutes with Sara, Nick, and Greg. It was nice to see those three together.

Too bad this episode was so predictable, although they did recycle a character from the awful episode set in Frank's diner. I did like the little scene with Nick and the new detective confronting the suspect in the garage. I wouldn't want to cross Nick when he gets in protective mode.

It was no big surprise to hear that Grissom dumped Sara. He obviously sensed she wasn't happy with their long distance relationship or that is what the writers led us to believe with her avoidance of Grissom's phone calls. I am probably in the minority of never wanting those two to hook up anyway, so it is nice we are done with that. This also frees up William Petersen having to make any more cameos via Skype or camera phone.

Nice touch to bring in Sara's mother. Small bit of continuity, which is welcome after 13 seasons.

Can Super Shue please go away?

Can Super Shue please go away?

Best part? When Doc Robbins shut her down. Just shut up.

Also, if the lab just came under fire for all their terrible/shoddy work, wouldn't it make less sense for Sara's friends from the past ~13 years investigating this case?

I was feeling like this episode was hours long when I looked at the clock and we were only 36 minutes in. Firstly, I am not especially interested in Sara, and I hated that they got Sara and Grissom together in the first place. But I didn't really need to have any more information on how their marriage was or was not going, nor did I need to revisit Sara Taking! It!Personally with creepy stalker guy I'd also rather have forgotten about.

I'm sure the lab wouldn't have been doing any of the investigating due to conflict of interest. I thought DB was brought in to fix all that, but after a promising start, after his granddaughter got kidnapped, it was all off the rails for everyone. Fun.

I think that Shue may be the worst character in the history of this show.

Best part of this episode was definitely the revelation of the Sara/Grissom breakup. Always hated them together.

This episode was okay, only because I actually had some doubt to Sara's innocence (I thought maybe she had killed the guy while she was sleepwalking or something and it would turn out to be self-defense) and they were writing in a way to let her leave the show--although I haven't heard anything about her wanting to leave. I also liked the scene at the end where she, Greg and Nick starting talking. However, even though I know that Hodges wanted to keep the lab 'Sara free' and is loyal to Grissom, he acted like a real prissy snot to her. I hope she cold-shoulders him for a long while.

Time has not been kind to Kay Lenz (Mrs. Sidle) although to be fair, I still picture her from roles I saw her in way back in the late 70s and early 80s. It took me a minute to realize it was her--I mainly recognized her voice first.

I have to admit, I wanted the guy to kill Sidle at the end and I hope Hodges continues to hate on her. She's just terrible, but at least the Grissom storyline is over, so that is a good thing.

The show needs WAY MORE Nick.

Worse than Dr. Ray? Shocking. ;)

After all those years of building up the Grissom/Sara relationship, this is what they do to it? Ugh. I still don't know why they couldn't have had Grissom living in Las Vegas and teaching or something off screen, and kept their relationship. It was so nice to know at least one person at that lab had a decent relationship besides David. I loved both the charaters of Sara and Grissom. And now Grissom is no longer on the show, and they've messed up the Sara character so much that I no longer care.

Oh well - I guess that means that I get to go to bed at a decent time on Wednesday nights now. So there's that consolation.

And for me, now CSI ended in the Costa Rican jungle. No Dr. Ray. No Super Shue. Thanks for 9 good years, CSI.

I never really cared for Sara in the least and thought that the whole romance with Grissom was a major mistake. I can't say I saw this one coming. There was nothing else that was new about this storyline. Same old,, same old: Sara is once again the center of all or tries to be whether she should be or not, check, Sara is overly obsessed with some dirt bag from a previous case, check, Sara doesn't tell the entire story for selfish reasons, check. Sigh. I can tolerate her better than the Shue however. I'm used to Sara and her drama. Shue really does need to go away. Does anyone besides TPTB like the character?

I did think it was a nice touch that Nicky and Greg made her talk at the end.

Just took CSI off my season pass. I don't recognize this show anymore, and I've lost faith in the writers and show runners. Grissom unceremoniously dumps Sara? Inexplicable. Every case personally involves a CSI? Lame.

I say Dr Ray Langston was worse, not what he started off to be, but what he quickly became.

I had the opportunity to meet Kay Lenz, very very briefly in the summer of 1980. David Cassidy was staying at a hotel I was working at at the front desk. They left a wake up call which I was the person to call the room, it was done by a person then, not automatic. We also would always ask if they wanted coffee brought to the room, which many people did. So, I got to take a tray with coffee/cream/etc to their room, I knew I was headed to Cassidy's room. She opened the door and took it, never saw David.

This is one episode in which I wish they had Catherine. The ending where the three of them talked was nice, but I think Catherine being there would have helped Sara deal with the separation better. They weren't the best of friends but it's always nice to have to lean on a fellow woman sometimes, even if you have good guy friends like Nick and Greg. I mean, who's left that she can be lady-buddy with? Morgan? Too young. Super Shue? Too nosy.

I totally agree that the show needs MORE NICK! He made this whole episode for me. And he stayed the most professional about the investigation. I really liked that when Sara admitted the marriage had ended that Nick was there. That meant a lot to this long-time fan.

Is there some requirement that character's birthdays should fall on or near Billy Petersen's birthday (which is today). They similarly moved Nick's birthday from August to February in the Taylor Swift episode and now Sara's has gone from September to Feb. 19.

It made sense to me that the Grissom-Sara marriage wouldn't last, but I kind of hoped she'd have come to her senses and realized it was just a fan-idol relationship and that Grissom was never as interested in her the way she focused on him. But I guess they had to show her hitting bottom simultaneous to this murder set-up so the story had to be that she was dumped. Guess Grissom must have taken Hank the dog, since he wasn't in the house either with Sara or whenever Ronald had broken in.

As for the case, the only part I really enjoyed was Nick and the detective setting up Ronald at the end after Nick figured out Ronald's real motive. We all knew that none of Sara's co-workers should have been on that investigation and that she'd be cleared in the end.

Sara's mother was a lot more lucid than I was expecting. Funny that Kay's ex, David Cassidy, will be on next week's episode.

That's exactly how I felt, even said so to dh, and I am a Sara fan. But I thought it picked up pretty well for the last 15 minutes.

I don't know why they even got Sara/Grissom together just to do this. If they had left them apart to start with I would have been okay with that but Gil dumping Sara was bad. The whole thing just made me feel sad. And I was even warned in the last thread about this angst:)

I loved Nick and Greg being there for Sara and I understood what they meant when they said she was their last link to Grissom - now they can let him go too. I wonder if this was meant for the viewers too, letting them know that Grissom is never coming back - not that I ever really expected him to.

If we're doing a poll on Worst. Character. Ever. I will have to vote for Dr. Ray. He took over the whole show. I like Shue well enough but I really did love Doc's putdown.

They really do need more Nick and more Greg! Maybe even more Ecklie.

Every case personally involves a CSI? Lame.

This. This times one million.

I was so enraged when I saw that this was YET ANOTHER episode with one of the characters involved in the crime. And it was YET ANOTHER nutball obsessed with a character.

And of course, since I knew Sara didn't do it, it was just a tedious and annoying exercise instead of a well constructed, well written piece of entertainment.

And so...Doc, DB, and Nick with his mentioned girlfriend are the only characters on the show allowed to have stable, happy relationships? Since <see above> I don't care all that much about the characters' lives or want their personal baggage explored, I don't see why Sara and Grissom just couldn't be happy OFF SCREEN.

I am taking CSI off my DVR. This show has declined so much from the fascinating procedural I fell in love with all those years ago that it is barely recognizable.

So thanks to my DVR I got to see, back to back, CSI Sidle accused of murder and then Detective Rollins of "L&O:SVU" accused of murder. It is, in my opinion, a lame crutch for writers to believe they need to center full episode storylines around a main character in peril. There's enough crime going on that we don't need the investigators investigating the investigators.

And here's another point, one that really bugs: the minute Sara was implicated is the minute that all of her crime lab buddies would have been kicked off the case. Yes, I know that if you "go there" then the characters you already know aren't going to be investigating the case. So, at least to me, that's ANOTHER reason NOT to go there!

There are things about which I can suspend disbelief, but then there are other things I cannot.

Oh, and also thanks to my DVR I got the chance to I re-watch the portion with Doc Robbins slamming Super Shue about six times. You go, Doc!

It's getting a bit tiresome to see so many crimes with deep personal involvement from the characters, but that isn't enough to make me stop watching the show. Honestly, the characters' stories are at least as interesting to me as the crimes themselves.

I think the writers need to rein in the wrong-headed direction they're taking Nick, but I like what they've been doing with Greg. The scene with Sara, Nick, and Greg at the end of this episode was bittersweet. More of that, writers! They, along with Brass and Doc Robbins, are the heart of this show.

As somebody who still misses Grissom and is always thrilled to see even a passing reference to him, the separation/divorce saddens me.
