I like these two characters together. I think they complement each other very well. There is respect, support, companionship, and they don´t let each other down.

I see sparks of chemistry there, it is hidden, it is burried, but there is something. Especially in the last episode, she opened up to him, she told him how his presence helped her, how scared she was, and he helped her overcome that. For a second he looked at her differently. I feel like Owen is trapped, with Cristina he wants to pursue something, a dream, which no longer exists. He doesn´t let himself feel and open himself up to be able to love a different woman who can be everything he ever wanted.

I bet Alana won´t let Owen down in the next episode.

Too bad, C. Zimmer is in 916 in the last episode so no further relationship will be developed with Owen.

Of course she will. She doesn't care about Owen and she doesn't care about the hospital. She's playing him. She's no better than a female, medical Gordon Gekko. All that matters to her is money. She doesn't care about medicine or patients or health care.

Do you think so? Then I´ve been fooled, too.

ButI find there IS something vulnerable about her, but I guess it may go the way you say.

I went back to see the scene between them again and my take is a little bit different. I see a professional relationship that evolved to the point both of them feel comfortable. But I don't see any further than that. I don't see any romantic interest on each part. In fact I felt KMK was trying to act casual (he's aware the pickle his character is in and he doesn't want to offend the last of Owen's fan) near her. Even my readout on Cristina "I bet she is" was that Cristina now is much more aware of him and more aware of other woman near Owen. Not that Alana was trying to do a move on Owen for real.
I didn't see Alana as a sleazy bastard whose only interest was money and her reputation. It's certain she was worried with her personal failure on this but it's not less human than Bailey or the nurses concerns about their jobs. I failed to see her as total indifferent bitch and a professional manipulator. On the contrary she seemed always fair and truthful to the doctors and Owen, always trying to understand their concerns but at the same time answering their questions. In fact I think he sees her as his only backing in the middle of the desert. Maybe I'm wrong because seeing a series in a language it's not ours makes us loose some wavelengths and thus lose the real meaning of some dialogues and scenes. Lets see next episode if she reveals herself.

This is how I perceive her and as you say they are professional, but grew comfortable with each other, no, they arenīt sending romantic signals, but what connects them is their goal to save the hospital. They are both so broken at the end of last epi.Deep down Owen doesnīt believe it, but he sees it as the only option to undo his guilt.

I believe Alana will tell Owen her story why she stopped operating in the next epi.

Even my readout on Cristina "I bet she is" was that Cristina now is much more aware of him and more aware of other woman near Owen. Not that Alana was trying to do a move on Owen for real.

Yes, I feel the same and also the way she covers his phone when Alana texts him, she could be jealous, but there is no real reason for it.

Well, Cahill let him down in her last episode, by attempting to sell the hospital in pieces and not telling him about it. There was no respect there. I am glad the way she left because by the time Owen burst into that meeting to tell them to reconsider the sale to Pegasus, she was fighting it all the way to the end. There was no nice ending scene for her because not a single person in the main cast would have spoken to her. Not even Owen, who was her main ally.

Good riddance to this very unlikeable character.
