On Valentine's Day, Mac and the team investigate three tales of love gone wrong.

Total fluff episode, but enjoyable. The three stories were quick and easily solved, but it was fun to see the team paired off to solve the cases.

Loved the facial expressions that Mac made while trying to pick out an appropriate card. I've always enjoyed watching people go through the card racks and read cards until they find the right one.

Flack's little surprise was the best one of the group. All those candles, a rooftop dinner, roses, and great atmosphere.

Danny and Lindsay's scene at the end was very true-to-life. I loved Lucy saying that there was a vampire under her bed. Best laid romantic plans are often derailed by children.

I did like the separate titles for each little story. Wonder what kind of a payday Josh Groban received for his appearance? How appropriate to have him playing at the club where Mac and Christine ended up. It also was a nice bit of continuity that Christine's injuries weren't miraculously healed.

Good episode. Though I did think at first it was bad timing - black "disgraced" cop goes rogue. Thankfully, that was not the issue.

Ah, vampire is what Lucy said. I could not understand and have yet to figure out how to use closed captions with my cable provider.

And not at all realistic in NYC in February. It would have been damn cold on the roof. Way colder than Flack or whatever her name is said it was.

I kinda wish they had been. Since I find her and how Mac acts around her annoying. After all once Danny could walk again, jumping off things, chasing bad guy, playing hockey etc seems to be no problem for him. Granted they did do a whole storyline on him in the wheelchair and trying to talk again but still he should not be doing any of the above things.

Yeah, I was trying to look around Flack and whatshername and the meal to catch sight on one of those big outdoor gas heaters outdoor-cafes put around in my country - I figured that NYC in February was much too cold to sit on the roof. But no, I guess their burning passion kept them warm. Whatever.

I actually hated this episode. It was bad enough with all the clichés throughout, and the terrible, awful dialogue, especially during the interrogation scenes. Those were a special kind of bad.

Then, just as I decided that the last case wasn't the worst, the episode turned into a Josh Groban video. As far as shilling a singer goes, that was pretty fucking blatant. Usually they try to integrate the musical guest a little, but this time, nope. Christine's pokey little restaurant (it was Christine's, right?) can afford Josh Groban. Or were we not supposed to recognize him?

Every time I think the bottom of the barrel has been thoroughly scraped by CSI NY, it goes a little lower. Now I'm just tired of the whole thing.

That wasn't Christine's restaurant.

I have to agree with you here. I think Mac acts out of character when he is with Christine. I think there is way more chemistry between Mac and Jo than there is between Mac and Christine. Maybe it is just the actress playing Christine's part?
