Also: Aww, he sent the smart one home.

ETA: Wait, it's not November 3rd. How'd I get that wrong?

Well, what'd'ya know?

The Tierra-ist didn't win....!

And frankly, Lesley is entirely too bright for him. I don't have a problem with her not being completely open with him. She would've over-shadowed him big time.

"Men love me!". "I hope when I'm 32 years old I am married with a family." "My parents said Tierra you have a sparkle, don't let those girls take your sparkle away." oh dear and meeeeooooow

I can't believe Sean finally wised up enough to send Tierra home!

Sean's sister reminds me of Emily.

Lesley didn't gush and say she loved him and I think that's why she was let go. I think Sean wants to be the big strong man who is needed and maybe Lesley was too strong of a person for him>

The bridal gown girl seems a little simple, but I think Sean likes an uncomplicated woman who doesn't think too much. ;)

Line of the night... "Tierra, you have a sparkle! Don't let those girls take your sparkle away!". Oh em gee. That sounds like the things that parents say to their ridiculously spoiled, self-entitiled, on a pedastal child to further prop up their ego as if it needed it! Holy effing moly. And her declarations of love and deep feelings for him were SO disingenuous is was ridiculous. He had to be stupid not to see that - the inflection of her voice and the way it would rise up with every statement - so annoying.

And crocodile tears much?? There was never a tear on her face or in her eyes no matter how much she shoved her fingers in them. Wiping off the make up was a nice touch. She better stop that though or her eyes are gonna get all wrinkly.

Sigh... Lesley is probably one of my all time favorites of all time on this show. Ever. Really. I loved her dry wit and slightly snarkiness. I'd love her as the Bachelorette. But I guess I do see what he's talking about. I think she is in a way shy and not so confident thus her not looking him in the eye all the time. But from his perspective, it had to be a red flag.

I just don't see it with him and AshLee. In a way I do, but I see much more of a connection with the other 3 women. But with AshLee it's boring and seriously? She's already proclaiming her love after 2 dates? Desperate much?

Right now I think his best fit is Lindsey. She seems sweet, fun and not completely stupid but not overly smart either. Catherine is a little too smart for him. I see trouble next week with Desiree and not the "fight" but rather I think there is going to be too much animosity with her family. And I just can't get into AshLee.

In all fairness, AshLee had it in for Tierra from the moment she received the first rose. She thought she was the only one standing between her and Sean, foolishly choosing to ignore Catherine and Lindsay. Leslie seems too smart for this show. I wouldn't be surprised if a friend or relative signed her up or if she signed on as a dare. Can't wait for well-educated, affluent Sean to meet Desiree's uneducated, trailer park family. Should be interested.

Leslie was cute in the first few shows but something happened... Her makeup got so heavy and awful looking! I think someone started doing her makeup for her- Lindsey? She wears a ton of makeup as well.

"I can't control my eyebrows. I've never had botox." That was totally a knock on AshLee's stiff plastic surgery face. That Tierra hits way below the belt.

I say this every season, but... the crying... I... I don't understand it. What in the world was Catherine crying about at the end? These women cry more than I have in my whole entire life.

I know she's a fan favorite but Leslie, yikes. Her makeup was bad and then she was just so awkward. I could totally see what Sean was saying. I'm awkward though too, but Leslie has this trying to be cool thing that was even more awkward.

I guess I love Lesley because I see a lot of myself in her. Smart, nerdy, dry sense of humor s lot of people don't get, awkward in a way (I have a hard time looking people directly in the eye too). I guess I identify with her so I felt for her.

Yeah the eyebrow comment was pretty classic too. And the botox comment unbelievably and straightforwardly rude. But she's not rude. Right?

I didn't like Lesley at all. I found her to be very full of herself. By the way, how do we actually know she is smart? Do we believe her just because she said she is?

AshLee is a complete hypocrite with respect to Tierra. I agree with Firthient in that AshLee had it in for Tierra since night one. They showed it in the first episode.

There is just no end to Sean's willingness to make the women uncomfortable. Since there were no death-defying dates to put fear into them this week, he entered their rooms unannounced and took their pictures as they woke up. Mean!

All in all, I have never seen a season of this show in which so many people (AshLee. Lesley, Des, Robyn, etc.) were mean/rude to the designated "villain" nor one in which the lead tried so hard and in so many ways to make the contestants ill at ease. I'm left with no one to like this season -- neither the lead, nor the women.

Oh, and when Des talks to the camera she is fine, but when she talks to Sean she purrs/growls. I actually had to use the "mute" button on their one-on-one last week.

Why? Tierra is no angel, but she most certainly wasn't as bad as they made her seem. I think this is the most insecure group of ladies, ever. AshLee seems desperate. Lindsey acts like she is 12; Catherine was sobbing because if Sean doesn't want Leslie, then she doesn't know what he is looking for?! What? I think someone should tell Desiree there is nothing romantic about being poor. I hope Sean has the good sense to kick all of them to the curb.

One of the women made a comment about how they had bonded as a group all because of Tierra. I thought that was really telling - herd mentality. And now that she's gone, they've already begun to turn on each other. (Lesley made a comment about how AshLee had been part of the drama.) It would be interesting to see how they related to each other now that their common enemy is gone, but that won't happen because they'll be split up now. One of the many examples of how these women are so hypocritical was when AshLee said to Tierra "This is the best peace offering you're going to get, not that you'll accept it because that's the type of person you are . . ." (or something to that effect) That's not something one says when really trying to understand another's point of view and coming to some sort of understanding. I felt bad for Tierra. There, I said it.

When Ashlee complained about Tierra saying "She doesn't say good morning" I literally LOL'ed for 10 minutes. What is she?!? 14?!?! I was watching with a girlfriend and we both said "Oh I guess Ashlee would think I'm a bitch too". So trivial, so juvenile. I almost started feeling bad for Tierra then she went below the belt several times with "I don't have botox", "I'm not 32, when I'm 32 I want to have a husband and kids". Tierra, you may not yet be 32 but you look rode hard and put away wet, honey child.

Ya, I'm not getting the whole "Lesley is so smart" thing. She may not be a blubbering mess around Sean like the other girls but I'm not sure that makes her a Mensa member. But she gets points from me for not yelling "I LOVE SEAN!" (side-eyeing Ashlee). And who turned her makeup gun setting to whore tonight?

Dez is fading fast fast fast. In the beginning Sean seemed to be chasing her but now it seems he's lost a lot of interest.

Lindsay I just don't get. She reminds me of the "Stage 5 Clinger" from Wedding Crashers. I see physical chemistry, they'd probably have some hot sex, but I don't see anything more than that. And she got a rose before anyone else on the group date?!

Catherine, I thought you were cool but GET. A. GRIP. She was crying over Sean cutting Lesley after she thought they had the most in common - people don't marry their clones?! Well Sean never saw a friend getting squished by a tree, I guess it's over for you two.

While I do agree that Desiree lost some ground, I still think she will take this. I saw genuine chemistry between her and Sean on the beach date and I think Sean couldn't decide who he was more into...Catherine or Desiree. So he split the difference and gave the rose to Lindsey. Sean is just stressed right now and his vibe is off with all of these women. He needs to loosen up and start having fun again. I thought Catherine was going to sneak in there and be front runner but when they showed her crying over Lesley getting sent packing, I knew she wouldn't go the distance. Who cries when a guy you are super into, drops another girl that you think he has the potential of being super into? Catherine is in this for the experience and to join the Bachelor universe, she is not into Sean.

Lesley...I will miss your snarkiness and your rocking bod. I can't believe they didn't give that girl the date on the boat, she really wears a bikini well.

I can't WAIT for AshLee's downfall. She's waaaay too delusional about her relationship with Sean, she made me feel sorry for Tierra (Tierra of all people!) and her face creeps me out more and more. 32 is not old enough to start messing with your face so much and it does not bode well for her future.

I don't think it was about whether she says "good morning". What I heard was Tierra lacked common courtesy, and when other women said something to her, she would give them a blank look and not respond.

Thanks for that link. I was wondering what she really did. Those running for federal office rarely hire 25-year olds to consult on their campaigns.

Lesley had definitely moved into the friend zone. I wasn't surprised to see her go, especially since Lindsey already had a rose. I still never know who Lindsey is.

Was it Lesley who finally did the possessive pronoun that is only heard on reality tv? "It's like Sean and I's private little island." ARRGGGGHHHHH!

That never bothers me because I'm so used to hearing reality television misuse the word "myself," as in Sean and myself had a private little island. Reality television is making us all stupider.

I felt really bad for Catherine's family. That's just not stuff that should be talked about on television.

I wonder if AssLee was behind a few years in school. How else can some who's a junior in high school get married without parental consent?

So in the preview they showed us Sean asking one of the women's father for his blessing. I hate that backward tradition, but it's even more disturbing if Sean is going to ask all of the fathers that question (except for poor Catherine and her suicidal dad).

Usually I watch this show just because it's fun to guess who's going to get the shaft and who's going to win and how the editors hide the real attraction until the end. But this season, I really just don't care. Sean seems like kind of a dick and the women all seem so clingy and desperate.

I feel badly for Catherine's family too, but it's because of the difficulties that they've gone through, not that she talked about mental illness on television. In fact, I look forward to the day when there is no stigma attached to the disease and it can be as normal to talk about the tragedies of depression as easily as it is to talk about cancer or any other disease. The more people talk about it like Catherine did, the better.

It's probably a good thing that Tierra's gone but I still can't help feeling sorry for her. The other girls were total bitches.
Granted, Tierra didn't do much to mitigate the situation but it takes two to tango. I'm a zombie in the morning and people would be more than likely to get a blank stare out of me too but look out for me at midnight - I'm leading the dancing and the partying. The housemates weren't about to give Tierra any leeway at all and that's pretty bad when it's the worst thing they can come up with. Yes, Tierra was probably difficult and not the friendliest person there but she had a point about the rest of them sitting around gossiping like teenagers.

I will miss Lesley. I liked her comments and her snarkiness. And she did seem smarter - maybe just cause she isn't a giggler who yells I Love Sean. I loved the part where she mentioned that she has watched the show for years and made fun of these women but now she is one of them. Except, again, she didn't do the i love you. I did think one thing was weird about their date. All one-on-ones are two-fold, daytime activity then nighttime dinner/cuddle time. Did they not have dinner on hers or did they just not show it because of the extra Tierra drama.

The rest of the girls seem nice enough but they seem like girls. Like what in the world was Catherine crying about at the end? And Lyndsay can barely string full sentences together.

Oh Tierra. I have no doubt she is a bear to be around. Clearly the women did form some sort of herd but that doesn't mean she wasn't a witch. Sean's sister was right about not picking the woman who can't get along with anybody. She showed enough of her attitude that I think it was real. Complaining that her date wasn't boating? Sleeping on the rollaway bed so she could be by herself? Always saying they were jealous? One moment of the evening I did think was producer shenanigans though. When the women were all sitting around and allegedly Tierra says something about a cougar regarding Ashlee. The voice said it twice but they never showed Tierra's mouth moving. Just the women looking weirdly at her then the camera would pan to Tierra not saying anything. It was odd.

The very first episode she got her yelling in. Remember she was like standing on the steps of the Capitol yelling something like, "I love Sean"?

One moment of the evening I did think was producer shenanigans though. When the women were all sitting around and allegedly Tierra says something about a cougar regarding Ashlee.

I also noticed something weird. When Sean and Catherine were on the beach and she was telling him about her fathers suicide attempt, they only showed the top half of her head. Half way down the nose and below was off the screen. I was wondering if they were adding sound bites to that conversation.

In fact, I look forward to the day when there is no stigma attached to the disease and it can be as normal to talk about the tragedies of depression as easily as it is to talk about cancer or any other disease.

Totally and completely agree, Shabbieshok. Cannot agree more.

I'm in the minority I guess that I don't think AshLee is that bad. I thought she was trying to argue maturely (is that a word?) and made sense. And if Sean was going to hold her accountable for talking to him about Tierra I was going to call foul. He asked. She didn't gossip, she just told it as it is.

I'm going to sound horrible, but I just don't think Des is that pretty. She needs a new hairstyle or something.

Lindsey I go back and forth with. Last week, at the cocktail party, I thought she was pretty. Then, without makeup she's kind of goofy lookin. It was funny because about 5 minutes after I thought of that, Sean came in with his ambush to see the girls without makeup.

Tierra may be a huge mentally disabled bitch of the year, but girl can rock a ponytail. Wish I could get my pony's like that.

ETA: I can't spell too early in the morning. Much like Tierra can't say good morning too early in the morning.

Sean is such a terrible actor. He was barely able to hide his contempt for Tierra during their streets of St. Croix date and couldn't even muster up a smile when she confessed her feelings for him on that rickety pier. During his dramatic sidewalk contemplation scene, he looked like he couldn't be happier and was just killing time until production was able to wrangle up a goodbye-and-cry van for Tierra.

I felt for Lesley when she got eliminated, but it was clear from her date and even before that she had become trapped in the friend zone. It was painful listening to her inner monologue debate about telling Sean she loved him, knowing full well she would likely get the axe next. Oh well, I shouldn't feel too badly - she seems like a fun girl with a good head on her shoulders, plus a smokin' body. I'm sure she won't be lonely for long. I agree with others on here that she would make a good friend to go out to a mimosa brunch with, or even a fun Bachelorette a la Jillian (and unlike mirthless, brainless Emily).
And what was up with Catherine's extreme tears at the end of the show? Sweetheart, if you're basing your perceptions of your connection with Sean off of someone else's connection with him, there's something wrong there. Yet another way this show is messed up.

Despite the fact it was a group date, I enjoyed the road trip date. Definitely different from what we've seen before on this show, and a lot more fun and down-to-earth. Of course, drinking still had to be the order of the day, but that's par for the course for this show.

Sean summed up so precisely last night why I dislike him. In one soundbite, he managed to be both misogynistic AND mean. "I know that girls HATE being seen without make up. So I woke them up super-early...and I brought my camera! I mean, I wanted to see them without make-up." (paraphrasing)

This so well sums up my issue with him - too much of who he is has these very clearly defined roles of men and women - Women like: MAKE-UP! Women dislike: Wimpy Men! And also, that he has no respect for the fact that if these women really DID feel uncomfortable being woken up on national television at 4AM, then don't do it! (I know, they sign up for humilation, and that's not my issue. It's the glee with which Sean does this crap.) Do women like wearing make-up? Well...yes. I do. (Not like these women though, gawd. But I need to cover up those under-eye circles as much as anyone.) But that's not the point. It's his perception of it. Sort of like how he keeps saying "MY WIFE," in this terribly creepy, lock-her-in-the-bedroom manner.

Oh well. I think it's going to be Lindsay or AshLee. I think AshLee will actually be okay with this type of guy. She seems to like a MAN who is IN CONTROL, and I think it calms her. I suspect that once Linsday grows up a bit, Sean would lose his appeal. We'll see.

(If Lindsay is dinged, I hope they'd consider her for Bachelorette. I like her!)

I don't blame Tierra at all for sleeping alone. The only other option was not only sharing a room with others, she would have had to share a bed. No matter how much I liked the other women, I would not have wanted to share a bed with one of the other housemates, especially one like Lindsay who preferred to sleep nude! (Thank goodness she did have PJs on while sharing the bed with (I think) Des, especially since Sean and the camera crew came in by surprise.) I actually thought that the other women's enthusiasm to share beds was the less normal reaction for a grown woman.

I dislike a lot about Tierra, but some of her actions seemed more normal than what the others did, and many of her difficulties with the others were clearly instigated by them. One example of many: after the roller derby when Robyn knew that Tierra was the 3rd teammate of Amanda, yet specifically addressed the other 2 teammates by name to inquire what happened. Much of Tierra's actions were in fact reactions to crummy treatment by the other women. As I said before, this season was unique in how many people actively instigated things with the "villain." They forced her into situations in which no matter what she did she would be subject to their criticism.
