Did anybody else notice a difference in how Jeff introduced the favorites from this season to how he did so back in Season 16? I recall him introducing Penner, Amanda, Ami etc. more slowly and individually, whereas the favorites almost came out of the helicopter at rapid-fire speed. Also, the fans' reaction this time was noticeably less thrilled at most of these favorites. I mean weren't they ecstatic when they saw people like James, Cirie, Ozzy, and Yau Man?
I was amused when the helicopters were coming close and the fans covered their eyes against the sun and wind to look; it looked like they were saluting the favorites, then the wind from the rotors got stronger and they had to turn their backs and it looked like they were cowering in fear. In my imagination, anyway!
But then Jeff started introducing them all and it really seemed only one or two of the fans were making any kind of noises of recognition at all--two of the blondes, as far as I could tell. First came Cochran--squeals. Then Dawn--more squeals. Then Corinne--crickets, heh.
Then I didn't notice much reaction until Erik came out and one of them yelled "It's ice cream scooper guy!" Poor ol' Erik. And I think they made some kind of recognition of Brandon as well, I think acknowledging his Hantzness, but some of it was hard to hear with the helicopter noise and all.
