Mac and the team work with D.B. Russell in hope of outsmarting Christine's kidnappers and saving her life.

For a minute there, I thought Mac was going down the Horatio Caine path with the Russian roulette scene. He crossed the line during the interrogation scene, although we didn't see exactly what he was doing to the guy.

The episode wasn't too bad, even though I don't think Mac and Christine have that much chemistry. The flashbacks to their various scenes together was a little overdone. It seemed like they were reminding us of how they belong together.

It was quite a stretch for the gang to figure out where Christine was being held by the Egyptian symbol painted on the dead guy.

Nice touch with DB mentioning how his granddaughter was kidnapped. At least they managed to keep that little bit of continuity.

Where was Danny in this episode?

We've only got two episodes left until the season finale. It will be interesting to see what they give us in those two episodes.

So Mac played phony Russian Roulette with a perp? Doesn't work so well with a revolver, since it was pointed directly in his face. He would have been able to see the empty chambers. Not to mention that Mac, Russell and Flack conspired to violate a prisoner's rights (not a nice guy, of course, but still the rights issue remains) and lied to federal law enforcement officials about it.

Mac? Fired.
DB Russell? Fired.
Flack? Fired.

Good god, this was awful. I gave up on this show half way through season 1, and now I remember why. The stilted dialog and flat line readings from Sinise and Ward made the show seem like a bad high school play.

I stayed with Miami to the bitter end and am still watching the mothership, but I think I made the right decision here.

I see no chemistry at all between Mac and Christine.

It always annoys me when I see cops going all Jack Bauer on a suspect and expecting to get away with it. Now it's entirely possible that the other cops would cover for them, but I'd love it if Mac had gone "I don't care if the DA throws out that punk's confession or if I get fired, I just cared about getting Christine back!" because it would be nice to see rule breaking actually have consequences - but the "No call, no foul" attitude really gets up my nose (though it's not as bad as NCIS, where Gibbs seems to think that respecting a suspect's Rights is for wimps).
