A new competition series where models will be challenged and mentored by a powerhouse trio of supermodel coaches:

Naomi campbell, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha with Nigel Barker as the host.

It's expected to premiere sometime in february 2013 at Oxygen and this are the first promos.

Squee. I hope you're all as excited for this as I am. I've never seen The Voice, but I like a good modeling show and love a good bitchface from Naomi Campbell. The first episode narrowing down the field from 24 to 12 is already online here:

Already some frontrunners and some WTFs. Let the games begin, hamsters.

Seriously, Miss China? She can't find work without getting onto a game show? She is gorgeous though.
I guess they did not have to be total amateurs.
Also, 26? I thought this show would be more realistic than ANTM, age-wise.

I was surprised Christie was chosen, did not care for either of her photos.

Oh my, Brittany. Both photos were terrible. And that eye make-up. And she was a piece of work, very surprised she questioned them. Bold of her. But I do not go for the sob stories. That does not fly in the real world. But of course this is not real life. I can't believe Coco bought it. I found Jessica much more interesting looking and doubt Brittany will go any further.

I love Coco's girl, Margot, I think her name is. I think she is my favorite.

I think I'm going to dig this show. I also wish they could have gone younger with the ages like other countries' modeling shows but I think it's a thing in the US.

Miss Universe? Really? Who didn't predict her walk would be perfect.

I'm sorry some of those girls are hideous. I know models aren't always about the prettiest face but interesting structure/looks but man!

Naomi is gorgeous. Does she bathe in the blood of virgins.

Margaux looks like Rooney Mara.

Brittany is also a former pageant girl. She was Miss Indiana USA 2008 and finished in the Top 10 at Miss USA 2008.

Yeah, saw the free preview yesterday. Definitely think this is going to be in my rotation.

One thing that bothered me was when they were doing the one-shot close-up, Nigel specifically noted no makeup, although it looked like some of the girls were. I also hated the sob story at the end. Wah-wah-wah, my dad isn't in my life, I've worked so hard to get here, etc. It just looked pathetic to me.

Wow. With the exception of Miss China and the faux hawk girl, those were some fugly women. The last one, who lost out to Miss Sob Story, looked like Zippy the Pinhead.

Interesting show that I'm willing to stick around for a few episodes for. My favorite parts of the interview was Coco's snark about Naomi being crazy. I especially loved when the one girl picked her (I want to say it was Margeaux) over Naomi and she said she hoped her body wasn't discovered the next day.

The first show was ok.. I liked Nigel on ANTM but not sure if I'm liking him on this show..The girls in general were not that pretty! I was surprised by that.. And I'm SO sick of hearing the word "amazing" every 20 seconds! Great drinking game?!

I love this show. Naomi is for sure crazy, and she's one of the executive producers, so I'm assuming that one of her girls wins. I can't wait to see her go insane at the other judges.

As for the aspiring models, they're even less attractive than the "interesting" looks of the women on ANTM. I kind of love that all the modeling shows are about fairly homely women nowadays.

So far, I like. I was never and ANTM fan because Tyra bugs. For some reason I adore Naomi's brand of cray and I LOVE Coco Rocha. That said the only ones that made an impression was Miss China (Zi Lin?) and Devyn(mohawk girl). I think Ms Sob story who cried her way in and the one from Philly are going to bring the drama. They both look like they both will go from zero to insane in about 5 seonds flat.

I liked it! It will definitely fill that ANTM void since I can't take that show anymore.

I thought it was completely unfair that Miss Sob Story got in. I admire her questioning the judges as to why they didnt' want her, but the other girl who was actually chosen, should have had the chance to fight to keep her spot. One could say that SHE could have argued as well, maybe that's true -- but it just didn't sit well with me.

Too early for favorites yet, though Miss China (?) is gorgeous.

Any chance to regularly look at Nigel Barker, and I'm in!

I was pretty disgusted by the whole scene with Brittany. It's hard to tell what else went on with the other girl who Coco was going to pick before the sob story, but the way it was edited, it sure looked like she had no chance to fight for her spot like Brittany did with her boohooing. Brittany really rubs me the wrong way. She was a Me In My Place girl (here's the link ) a while back, and I find it super funny that she was a pageant girl who went on to take racy pictures and give raunchy sound bites to go with them.

Overall I think this show will be refreshing since ANTM is so tired these days, but I have to say I didn't love the premiere. I wasn't drawn to any of the girls aside from maybe Margaux, and Nigel kind of got on my nerves, even though I always liked him on ANTM. I agree with everyone about being excited for Naomi freakouts though -- in the season preview it looks like she calls Karolina an idiot at some point. This should be good.

This show will certainly be interesting as I need a good modeling show to replace ANTM (which hasn't been on my screen for at least a year). I caught the casting episode today (maybe it was a repeat) and thought that more than a few girls had a chance. The girl who Brittany replaced should have had a chance to argue for her place if Brittany got a chance to speak up in the first place. While she talked a good piece, I didn't think it was completely convincing and it should have been in conjunction with her look (which wasn't a good choice for her to begin with).

Naomi, Naomi, Naomi. While you might be a bitch (and an entertaining one at that), the schtick is getting old. You're a beautiful woman and that could score you points (and make more people nervous) if you spend some more time being nice for a chance. If you're eternally bitchy, it gets tiring. I hated how she was ALWAYS the one making the announcements of who would go and who would stay. It seemed like, if the other judges liked a girl, they would also look worried that Naomi would blacklist the poor girl just for the others liking her (especially if it was a girl that Naomi herself didn't like the looks of). At least Nigel has had plenty of experience sucking up to egotistical former models. Oops! Did I just say that? Sorry, my bad.

I also thought that Miss China/Miss Universe had a very unfair advantage. But then there was another contestant who said she was one of many, nameless, working models and she wanted a shot at the big time. That seemed a very reasonable explanation for wanting to go on the show. But I suppose it could be argued that she had an advantage as well, so who knows!

I am so very, very over the "single martyr Mother" sob story. Way to leave yout child(ren) behind to pin your hopes on a highly unlikely outcome. You had a child young, so you "deserve" this more than the others? That's always how I read their attitude. Whatever. Go to college and get a good job and have that be your story. I certainly don't know if it applies to the winner of this show but don't most successful models have to start out in Europe living in a cramped, "models apartment"? Are these girls going to tow their kids there as well? I doubt that's an option. Your ship has probably sailed.

Brittany's sobbing, combined with that horrifying look she was sporting, made the whole situation almost laughable.

The redhead with the eyes that almost disappeared had a very unfortunate figure. I can see why she was eliminated.

The runway challenge was interesting in that you could choose to be nearly naked or almost entirely covered!

After watching the preview show, I am totally in. Need to replace ANTM, which went whackadoodle. I am hoping this stays fairly serious and does not go with the nutty challenges or photo shoots. Still miss Make Me a Supermodel on Bravo.

A lot of these girls are odd looking. Stephanie and her broad nose are going to be a challenge. Are the coaches going to have some one-on-one time with these girls? The group thing will get old fast and some of these girls (Stephanie!) are going to need a lot of help.

Naomi is going to have to dial it back a couple of hundred notches.

I would have picked Stephanie too. Like any reality show, the contestant needs some self awareness. Naomi's model wanted to argue that the photo was good when obviously it wasn't. Stephanie was aware of her missteps and shows (so far) a desire to learn. If the other model thought her face was good, how can they train her to do better?

I thought Zi Lin had an advantage, but I can see how her pageant experience can be a hindrance. She may have a whole bunch of mannerisms that she will need to lose.

Oh please, not a third-person talker, i.e Sandra.
Christie = obnoxious
I love Zi Lin, she has great style too.
Hope they do not go through the sob stories every week. Boring.

I am glad Stephanie got another chance. But why is she the only novice? So these are supposed to be experienced models, otherwise?

Naomi is a bit over the top. Please.

I'm loving this show! All of the women look like real models finally!!! I missed the casting ep. but i'm ok with that I hate hearing people beg/sob to get a spot. Naomi is as crazy as ever I think Karolina wanted to laugh in her face when she told her to get out lol. I do think Naomi is playing up the character though she looked like she wanted to smile as well.

A bit too campy, though, considering it was meant to be a kind of anti-ANTM. When talk of the show first started, it was all about how professional and real-world it would be, then you see Naomi basically playing a stereotype of herself but dialed up 100%. And sob stories and potential cat fights. So not that different after all.

I like the teams and the way the challenges are done, so I was looking forward to watching.

But, honestly, if Naomi is going to be so bazinga confrontational all the time, I'm gonna have to give it a pass. Competition is one thing, psycho nasty is more unpleasant that I'm willing to endure.
