I've also started a Spoiler and Spec thread so we can keep other discussions clear of spoilers. No need to use spoiler tags in that thread. Don't post spoilers anywhere else in the forum, not even tagged ones.
Feel free to start character threads as the discussion leads you.
You can ask any questions of me here or PM me anytime.
Happy intrigue!

I think the comparison thread can and should encompass all kinds of spy- related stuff. I will update the title accordingly.
Also, while its definitely good to check in on what thread topics are appropriate to create, anyone may start a character-specific thread if you feel like you want to dive into that kind of discussion

The alert reads:
Web Attack: Mass Injection Website
Attacking Computer: localhost (127.0.0.1,11536)
Attacker URL: googleanalytics.com/googleapi.js
Destination Address: localhost (127.0.0.1,51048)
Source Address: 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1)
Traffic Description: TCP, Port 11536
Just in case you need that info to find the problem area on TWoP.
There's a certain banner ad, for Joss & Main, which has been at the top of every page I've read here that has caused a Blocked Attack alert. The ads are for different items from that website, but they're all for that website in general.
Edited to Add: I just read in both Competitive Reality Shows & Dramas & got the *same* Blocked Attack alert in each of those sections, *multiple* times, as well. And the Joss & Main ad I cited above wasn't on some of those pages at the time I got the alert either. So it looks like multiple ads, or whatever, in multiple areas of TWoP are perhaps infected.
Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me regarding this issue or respond here if you wish. Thanks.

And I'm still getting the issue, now on every page I visit at the site as of now.
I hope the techs/whomever can find the problem soon. Right now I'm trying to avoid the site as much as possible until it's fixed. Which is kind of hard 'cause I like reading the site (frowns)
EDITED TO ADD: OK it's now 10:49 Eastern (I originally posted around 8:20 Eastern). After I made the initial part of the post, I had to restart my computer for another reason besides the Blocked Virus warnings. Since I did that--so far anyway--I'm no longer getting the Blocked Virus warnings when I read the site. So maybe the techs eliminated it or blocked it at your end from attacking the site?? I honestly don't think--especially since others reported the same issue--it was an issue with my computer/antivirus.

Could very well be. But the article you linked specifically said something about the problem being in Chrome browsers. I used IE (I think it's IE9)... built into the AOL Desktop 9.7 software... when I had the problems.I'll check Tech issues, but it likely had to do with this.

I read over the TWoP Dos and Don't and the FAQ, but they didn't really answer my question. I was asked to list what other The Americans forums I read, but I don't want to violate the rules?
Thanks!

Here's the relevant section from the FAQ It falls under the "don't talk about the boards on the boards" rule.
We also ask that you not discuss other boards on our boards. You may certainly link to them, but conversations taking place on other sites should not become the foreground of the discussion on TWoP.

"Spies in Disguise"
I think that's a great title. I laughed.

I like the Spies in Disguise too, making that so.
