It looks like the new cast will be announced on @gma during Feb. sweeps.

It's nothing concrete but nice that it's going to be on GMA so we don't have to suffer through the Bachelor and that it'll be televised unlike last season's announcement. Hopefully more details will arise soon.

This article is kinda of a rumor-mill of "Reality Stars" that have campaigned (Deena from "Jersey Shore") or rumored (Emily Menard "The Bacherlor", Kim & Kyle Richards "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills") to be asked: Reality Stars on DWTS Season 16

*Although I remember reading that the DWTS producers wouldn't cast housewives at least Kim and Kyle had legitimate careers before finding reality show fame.

Can anyone see Nick and Vanessa Lachey being cast this season? I can possibly see Vanessa more than Nick especially her having a baby, and working on "Wipeout"

I can't see Nick doing it, because he is going on tour with 98 Degrees,with Boyz II Men and NKOTB.

So he is probably in rehearsals now and trying to get their new album out.

I could sort of see Vanessa doing it, and I would actually love it if she did. I've always liked her and felt badly for her when all the Nick/Jessica fans gave her so much crap when she and Nick first got together. If she did do the show, I wish she would be paired with Tristan!

I certainly hope that the Reality Stars are just a rumor. I don't watch Reality Shows and I don't consider the performers on these type of shows to be legitimate "stars".

I would like to see some popular stars from the 1970's, 80's, 90's TV shows: The Cosby Show, The Brady Bunch, Charlies Angels, It's a Different World, Happy Days, Three's Company, JJ, Thelma or Michael from Good Times,

I have a bad feeling about this coming season. A lot of no-names, no-hopers, never beens, and reality "stars". I hated last season so I really want this season to be good. I'm not hopeful. I hope these are all bad rumours.

Jody Watley would make my life if she came on this show. That'll probably never happen, but I'd love to see her.

So that means the starts will be announced somewhere between Feb. 18-22 if first rehersals start the week of Feb. 25:)
Not long then...2 weeks..we should start getting some news about possible contestants soonish..just hope they get a cast that's not completly BORING..and please NO reality starts hate those

I do too oakgal. I have this terrible feeling that the show jumped the shark last season. I really hope that I'm wrong, but I'm not encouraged by the rumors I'm hearing.

Jody Watley would make my life if she came on this show.

I love her and I think she would be wonderful. She's got an awesome personality. Others have suggested T-Boz from TLC and I would like her as well. She co-hosted Anderson Live and she seems very genuine. I just don't know if DWTS has any appeal to these very cool retro stars anymore.

Not yet. According to Louis, they haven't even lined up all the celebs yet, so the pros won't hear anything until after the last celeb contract has been signed.

Dina Lohan tells Mario Lopez she wants to dance on DWTS

NO! I put her in the same category as other fame-desperate monsters like Rielle Hunter. I will not watch if they have Dina Lohan on the show. The only thing she's famous for is pimping her daughters and draining their souls. She's an absolutely revolting person.

Lee Meriwether (former Miss America and TV Catwoman) is joking around on Twitter with Mark Ballas and the current Miss America about being on DWTS. I don't think she's serious but she looks phenomenal. She would be a great older contestant, but please no on the suggestion of Corky Ballas as her partner.

Tom Bergeron has also been teasing William Shatner on Twitter about doing the show this season. So far, William's response has been, "Not no way, not now how," but that could just be a clever bit of banter intended to throw people off.

I've heard the Lee Meriwether rumor for lots of seasons now, I think she wants to do the show pretty badly. Funny that she is joking around with Mallory Hagan (Miss America 2013) on Twitter. Mallory's mother owns a dance studio here in Opelika, AL and my two daughters dance there. Great family.

That trash Dina Lohan better not try coming onto DWTS. How about she worries about going on Ilyana's "Fix My Life" with her family. I read the cast for the celebrity diving show "Splash" i'm still puzzled as to why stars like Keshia Knight Pulliam and Kareem Abdul Jabbar are doing this as oppose to DWTS.

legaleagle, I think William Shatner would be a hoot. I don't see him as much of a dancer, but I am sure he would bring the funny. And as long as we are talking about Star Trek alumni, I would love for George Takei to do the show. He has the most biting wit. I would love to hear his commentary on a weekly basis and watch him smirk at the overwrought shenanigans.

I'm started to get a bit puzzled to why it's supposedly less than 3 weeks before rehearsals start and ABC hasn't even told us when the announcement is.

ETA: We overlapped, PBGamer89, but I wanted to comment on this. It concerns me how little buzz we are hearing about the show. Normally there would be all sorts of rumors and denials by this time. I'm not even hearing anything from the pros. Very worrying.

I'd be all for Ashanti. Major R&B fan over here, would be great as we've not had one in five seasons (Brandy).

I'd guess that we'll be getting rumors over next week. Don't think it's been noted here that the cast is announced on Feb 26th on GMA (with partners), and training, according to Louis, begins on the 25th - a day before. So I think we're gonna have to wait a little while before we get those very realistic names come through.

I agree that Victor Ortiz will be in, and while he looks cool, I've not heard of him - not the best start to the rumor season!

Sean Lowe, The Bachellor, is now rumored, and I reckon he'll be in instead of Emily. Anyone know what he's like, personality-wise? I don't watch it, but I hated Jake Pavelka on DWTS. As long as he's not like Jake.
