Chris showing up on the beach in his pink button down was strange.
It was beautiful the way Sean shut KCB down. Much kinder than "tread lightly". I do feel badly for her, Sean was just annoyed with her from the start and she didn't pick up on his signals.
Ashlee is too young to have screwed up her face and I felt bad that she was in a dress and heels for the park, couldn't they have let her know to wear comfortable clothes first and wear the dress for later?
What charity work has Sean done?
Jackie is beautiful but I heard her say "nerve wrecking".

Was it me or did others hear a LOT of background noise during this episode? All the clomping during the RC was distracting, plus when Sean was having some of his chats with individual girls, you could hear others laughing and chatting, too. I don't remember hearing this much extra noise before. Maybe the show's audio dept had a new sub working it?
Glad KristyMan is gone. Her 1960's bun hair-do looked horrendous and was certainly not flattering on her.
Did Sarah's dog stay or get sent back home? That was so odd, but sweet, to bring it for a visit.

OK, I really, really, really like Leslie M AND AshLee. I didn't think I would like AshLee (yes, it pains me to type her name that way) but I really like her. She rolled with the punches on the date with the girls and I think of anyone, she was a great person to be on that date.
Tierra is a manipulative bitch. I think the other women were right on when they said they thought she faked the fall. It was just toooooo convenient that it was right before Sean showed up for the date and that she stole time with him and then was seemingly just hunky dory. You don't go from being prtactically incoherent to being peachy keen unless nothing was really wrong in the first place.
What damn drama at the volleyball date! Kristy was freaky with her crying so much over losing and not getting time with him. And speaking of cray cray - that cocktail party was over the top! Holy cow - the women truly stealing him away from others. He needed to have the balls to tell them that he would come find them in a minute but he wanted to finish the conversation. I think he was particularly awful about the time with Des. He just sat down and Tierra came over to steal him. That was rotten.
Ahh KCB. In the friend-zone. She might not have been had she not opened her big mouth but I have a feeling that she never really got out of the friend-zone. It just came across in his demeanor with her that he wasn't feeling it but felt like he owed her a couple weeks but wanted to give her the boot before she got her feelings too invested.
Not sad to see Kristy go and not at all surprised. They had zero chemistry. Taryn was fine but I just didn't see a connection with them either. I think there are a couple clear front runners in Leslie, AshLee and maybe Robyn and Selma and Lindsey.

I totally heard all that background noise too. I found Sean's breathing really distracting while he was handing out the roses. Strange that they didn't soften up the sounds in the editing room before broadcast. Keepin' it real on the Bachelor!
KristyMan! haha and so true. Her personality was so annoying.
It was never clear to me if KCB was there just to get the check or if she really wanted "love" with Sean. I could see her being asked to return to cause drama (make the other girls feel insecure or something). She felt off this season.

Half these girls I am still like WHO? when he mentions them at the rose ceremonies.
They seem to want to give Chris more screen time this season.

I think KCB wanted a chance with Sean, and would have had one in the real world. In the dog eat dog world of this show, it wasn't going to happen. I think Sean has a touch of 'shiny new object' syndrome with all the new faces, so I think that made it harder for anyone to move out of the friend zone. Plus, her (Ben's) season of the Bachelor was way F-ed up, with Courtney being a drama queen and royal bitch, and I think that skewed her idea of how to behave. I think she was too worried that if she didn't make an impression right away, it would all be too late. So she tried too hard, and it backfired. Because Sean's not Ben. Thank god.
Sarah's dog stole the show. Can he be the next bachelor?

During the record breaking kiss, their mouths stayed shut the entire time. Awkward. Also, KCB's false eyelash was falling off during the cocktail party.

The constant "stealing" at the RC was annoying. It's boring to not see any conversations happening and just one "can I steal you for a minute?" After another.
I knew kristy and taryn were filler. I also guess Selma, Daniella, Catherine, Amanda, Jackie, lindsay, Lesley h are as well.
I like AshLee (of the painfully spelled name) for him, and Leslie m, and des ( but less so this week). Tierra and robyn will go far but not win. I guess top 4-5.

Record-breaking kiss was stupid, but I don't care for Guiness records anyway. I do like Leslie M -- after her knowledge of Hades last week, and her AP courses and nerd comment this week, she's definitely more than a pretty face.
I had to Google mitochondrial disease. I knew nothing about it.
I thought it was funny how Ashlee told Sean "I want to have as many children as…my husband and I agree on." Oh, rilly? Not as many as possible…in case Sean only wants one or two. I also wonder if Sean was being sincere in wanting to adopt a toddler. Is that something he's ever really thought about? Putting on a good face for the TV cameras again.
I have no clue what KC thought she was going to gain talking to Sean.. It was all so awkward. I also wondered why she had to insert herself into some spat between two other girls. But even weirder is she never even explained what any of it was really about, all she did was speak in generalities.
OMG, Sarah whining when Sean took her out to the limo--my ears may never recover! "You can't do this to meeeeee!" Ugh. Poor puppy.
Tiera's whining also grated, but I expected that scene. I'm just surprised she didn't go to the doctor -- what else was there to do, hang out all day with girls she doesn't like? Did Sean miss her annoyance with the EMTs? Because that really showed what she's like. As did her stealing Sean back a second time.
Those sorts of scenes really annoy me with this show, because the Bachelor/ette is always so passive. Only he/she knows how long he's spent with each woman, so he could act like more of a ref. And it was really rude of him not to return to Desiree when he said he would. Bad Sean!
When is Sean going to start kicking some of these women to the curb? There are still too many, and he seems to like them all equally.
KC's cocktail "dress"… She looked like she was dressed to break Lance Armstrong's faux record.
They changed it up a few seasons back, not everyone gets to go on a date every week. Why did Sarah not go on the group date? I thought everyone who doesn't have a one-on-one date goes on the group date.

I've wondered, too. Her face looks heavier but she seems very thin, so that's not it. Maybe it's because she seems so unhappy about herself and her love life (jmo). I think she liked Sean A LOT in NY and didn't realize that he felt no chemistry. (Good for him that he was so likeable and friendly to her anyway--many single men wouldn't have bothered.) Also liked that he kept her around a while--and let her off in private (though shouldn't have carried a rose). What happened to cute, lovable little KCB from Ben's season?
I actually like him more here than on TB-ette. He's one of the best looking B-s without his shirt on and seems nice enough and interested enough and like they've given him a lot of potential gfs to sincerely choose from (for a change). Ashlee, Selma, Catherine, Lesley M, maybe Des, and Robyn all seem possibly good matches--probably others but some of them I still can't tell apart. That's quite a few, and no one really crazy (Amanda and Tierra don't count ... yet ... imo.)
I wonder if Emily feels like testing her powers after seeing him fall for someone else. I wouldn't put it past her.

Kristy looked weird at the rose ceremony - makeup was artificial looking, and her hair was too severe.
and Amanda is doing that shape-shifting thing again. She's cute, not she's homely, no, there it is, there's a little cute - whoops! gone again.

OK, I really, really, really like Leslie M AND AshLee.
I really liked the chemistry between Leslie M and Sean, when they were talking during the evening portion, and he was playful, like "maybe your true love is here?" I could see those two having fun just hanging out. I also liked how, at the cocktail party, she just marched in there and made Tierra step aside after her second chat with sean.
There's an annoying flatness to AshLee's voice that makes her sound immature, but I think she genuinely has a kind heart. It was a bit weird for her to say "this foster family abused me but not sexually", then follow it up with "crazy huh?" Despite that, I find myself cheering her to take second place after Leslie M. I think she knows her time in the foster system could've been worse, and for her to want to adopt an older child out of the system is awesome.
As for Tierra - bitch, please. I kind of want to peek into the spoiler thread to make sure she doesn't get the final rose, but so far, I'm enjoying Sean too much to get spoiled.

Yeah, I thought she was angling for Bachelorette too, and this was her audition since she was so popular before. But crash and burn. Bachelor Pad will probably be her consolation prize.KCB looks like she's on pills or something. She's a mess. I think she was angling to go far and be the next Bachelorette. I'm not convinced she had any strong romantic feelings for Sean. She might show up on the Bachelor pad next.
And her strategy sucked. See, I'm so drama free that I'm pointing out those drama girls, but I'm not like them.
I, too, am liking Sean more than I expected and the two 1-1 dates women seemed nice/possible matches. Stil don't know most of the names, though.
ETA from Chris Harrison's Blog at EW.com
Sean and Leslie actually had to try twice to break the record. The first time they started kissing they went after it so passionately they forgot about the rules and their lips came apart and they had to start over. The second time they kept their concentration and they blew right past the record, and you got to see every second of it. Well, you actually had to see every second of it because that’s the point of the longest on-screen kiss.

So true. And weirdly, they both had on very similar and very odd dresses, very short, white lace dress with strange proportions. They were both so inappropriate and so very ugly.I noticed that on BOTH one-on-one dates, the ladies were way overdressed.
Yes, thank you. That's the thing that bugs me the most about this show. Please shut that crap down, Sean. It's boring to watch and makes him seem like a wimp. And speaking of cray cray - that cocktail party was over the top! Holy cow - the women truly stealing him away from others. He needed to have the balls to tell them that he would come find them in a minute but he wanted to finish the conversation.
I especially noticed it during the rose ceremony. He came off like one of those cavemen guys that grunt a lot in the morning and probably during sex. Ick. I'm trying to see this guy as desirable to these women and that didn't help.I totally heard all that background noise too. I found Sean's breathing really distracting while he was handing out the roses.
I agree. He comes off as so insincere to me. I doubt a guy his age has put much thought into adopting an older child. He could just agree that it's a great idea instead of acting like he's thought about it and is all for it. And I wonder if AshLee tells every guy on a first date about her adoption. It came off as kind of desperate to me, like Sean is more likely to keep her around if she has an sad back story.I also wonder if Sean was being sincere in wanting to adopt a toddler. Is that something he's ever really thought about? Putting on a good face for the TV cameras again.
I thought Leslie came off kind of pathetic with all the "I could see Sean as my husband" nonsense. It's way too soon for that. It makes her sound like she's desperate or just there to win. How about just enjoying the date.

I am so glad someone mentioned this. I was so confused about what she wanted to accomplish when she decided this would be important for Sean to know. It was so bizarre and I started to cringe while I listened to her try to explain her problem to him. Isn't a spat between 2 women on this show usually what you hope for so they can eventually both be sent home? And why did KCB think this would drive a wedge between her and Sean? wTF? Something is off about her, and she seems depressed and sulky....the girl could not even pull together an appropriate dress for the rose ceremony. I thought it was the matching cover-up for those bikinis they had to wear for the beach volleyball earlier that week!
It annoyed me that Sean wanted to see how Ashlee would respond to bringing the two girls with terminal health problems on their date. Seriously?? Did he think any woman on this show would kick them to the curb and pout that they were tagging along? These women will do anything to impress him (even if he's picking his nose and scratching his butt) and they are also being filmed on national tv, so that is a stupid test, no? And I am sure it was planned that Ashlee got that date in order to play up her adoptive parents and the 'less fortunate' angle.
This show preys on viewer stupidity ...and yet I am still watching ..ugh.

There will be women (hello, Tierra, at the very least) that would put the bitchface on because some women need to have their maximum, uninterrupted time with Sean. No distractions are allowed with those.
The thing with bringing the dog over to the mansion was cute, until I realized it wasn't a real stretch for the producers to do that, since the contestent lives in L.A. Still a nice touch.
Kacie had to know, not only from watching other iterations of this show, but from having actually BEEN on the show, that ratting out others' behavior gets you sent home. Don't know how she missed the memo on this.
I would also like to know why Chris Harrison had to be quasi-business formal at the beach party. It sure looked out of place. He would have looked ok in board shorts and a t-shirt and no one would think less of him.

Really. The girls didn't get horrible diseases for the convenience of Sean's test. The concern should have been who he thought would put them most at ease -- in which case AshLee probably was a good choice but, as you say, most of them probably could have pulled off kindness for one day. I do think Sean should have danced with them, though.
My premiere show picks were AshLee and Desiree but I would move out AshLee and put in Leslie now. Sean seemed sincerely into her, while AshLee has a sadness to her that I don't think Sean really goes for. She would be a beautiful, dreamy wife for a certain type of protective guy but I think Sean meant it when he put "funny," on his list of top qualities he wants in his wife. That's why he puts up with Tierra -- she seems to make him laugh and she has that ability to turn on a super sparkly face when she looks at him. So do Desiree and weird Amanda. Not for Sean the haunted, romantic type.
Those super short dresses worry me. During that kiss I kept expecting Leslie to set some sort of world record for most exposed buttocks on national TV. The women are going to get home and see how, although they look pretty good while standing still, those dresses make their thighs look huge when they sit down and cross their legs, or worse, lie on the love seat with their backside to the camera. (Tierra.)
When Sean said his nose was his fortune does that mean he really is a model now? No more insurance salesman? How does that fit in with Mr. Christian family man wanting to adopt children and live close to the grandparents? Unless you're Cindy Crawford, "model," must be one of the most short lived, insecure livings in the world. I would have pushed Terra off the stairs and faked my own fall for one of those EMS men. Much more my type than some guy who puts on make-up and poses for the camera all day.
