From Zap2it:

The cheftestants make sushi for Katsuya; fried chicken in the Elimination Challenge.

I am so HAPPY that Josie is finally gone! I just think it's a huge problem when she overstays her welcome and someone of Kristin's caliber goes home

FINALLY!!!!

I don't know when I've been so happy. The delusional chef is gone!

Freaking finally! I was really scared that Brooke was going to go home. So glad Josie is gone. They all over thought the fried chicken so I wasn't shocked that Josh who kept it basically simple won.

Josh's smoked-tabasco-blue-cheese-fried-chicken idea sounded yummy, but that's not the traditional Southern fried chicken he kept bragging about either. Who woulda thunk this would be so difficult?

Gotta love how Josie gave herself a huge self congratulatory pat on the back for barely surviving most of the challenges and skating on by with suckiness and mediocrity.

Ding dong the witch is dead. What a relief. I was afraid for Brooke for a minute, but I figured that having the guest chef say she should go home was classic reality tv misdirection.

She didn't even leave herself time to drain her fried chicken. My goodness. That was long overdue.

Padma really should work on her hiding her personal biases against the individual chefs. I have never heard Tom or Gail spout off the way she does - again with the "He (Stefan) should be eliminated just for LYING to us!" I didn't consider Stefan saying he doesn't do traditional American fried chicken to be a lie at all. It's out of his comfort zone so he cooked what he considered to be fried chicken. Big whoop. Why didn't Padma call Lizzie a bullshitter too since she was not comfortable doing traditional American fried chicken?

I must be crazy, but as much as Josie annoys me, and I get that Brooke is apparently the anointed female now that Kristen is gone, the critics' reviews made it seem as if Brooke should be the one to go home. Josie's at least had flavor, right? Brooke's looked like fried turd. Dukkah, indeed. That said, I guess Josie's personality and excuses finally wore out her welcome. Brooke full-on admitted she screwed up, at least.

And yeah, Padma really was on a rampage again, huh. Last week she seemed passionate to me; this week she seemed straight-up cray. And it's interesting to me that the editors are happy to portray her that way.

I felt bad for Brooke there. Especially when it was revealed that she turned down Dotolo and Shook back in the day. Anyway, like everyone else here I'm glad Josie is gone.

And gotta love how Padma contradicted herself about the judging being all about the food. Last week she came up with all kinds of excuses as to why they had to boot Kristen and keep Josie. This week, she tried to make a case against Stephan for being a bullsh*ter and liar. Yeah, okay there Padma. Nice try but no cigar.

And Padma also defended Josie again. Vehemently. So glad they didn't listen to her. I don't think that Josie's chicken was the worst but I think they knew they had to get rid of her this week. Whatever, this show was ruined for me because Josie stayed way too long and beat out kristen. That's just unforgivable. And Padma and her sexy outfits can just pack her knives and go.

I think Padma's been in this game long enough to know how to give the sound bites the editors want to use. They all probably all vehemently defend one cheftestant or the other and then the editors can use the sound bite that builds their story.

I actually found this an anticlimactic way for Josie to go, and not as satisfying as I would have hoped.

Happy Sheldon is still doing well.

I knew Josie was going home the minute they panned to the judges table before elimination just because of the sheer pain and sadness on Padma's face. I mean she should be ashamed of this episode. As said earlier, her bias has just gone to far.

Call me crazy, but I thought Stephan and Josie were neck and neck in the tap dancing around the question department. Yet, Padma all but yells "Off with his head!" as he's leaving judge's table.

Yay! A great big belated Christmas present. I was worried it was going to be Stefan since they were giving him the 'loser' edit. I couldn't believe Josie wouldn't hug him. Such a bitch.

Gotta love how Josie gave herself a huge self congratulatory pat on the back for barely surviving most of the challenges and skating on by with suckiness and mediocrity.

That made me hate her even more.

Love when David Chang is on. He doesn't seem full of himself and can be very funny.

Forgot to mention that the two cooks Brooke didn't hire seemed like real jerks tonight.

I thought so too. Odd because I've seen them before and they seemed like nice guys.

God riddance Josie. One week too late. The entire episode I was thinking that if Brooke went home I was done, and I really didn't want to quit watching on principle. Whew. Spanks Me surprised me with her vehemenant support of Josie. Thought it was a fluke last week...

If the presence of Michelle Bernstein is a "curse," and that curse means the certain elimination of Josie, I'll take that curse any day of the week.

Exactly. This is why the show shouldn't bring back former contestants, except in an all-star competition, because I do think the judges develop personal biases. Of course, Stefan didn't help himself by placing a big ole lemon wedge on top of his chicken. How retro of him. But where was the critique of the actual food other than Emeril saying, "it's not very good cordon bleu." Not good as in too dry? Underseasoned? What?

Clearly, Tom and Padma won't allow Stefan to win this thing, so I think the best he can hope for is a repeat of finishing in the final three.

Anyway, I'm glad Brooke was spared and Sheldon continues to impress. I can't get on board the Josh train.

I can maintain that image in my head if it's only the sushi that's naked, and not Josie.

Oh God, you mean she really did say that? I was trying to pretend I was nodding off and heard something on another Bravo show. :)

Loved Emeril comparing Stefan's chicken to something he had two flights ago. Buddy, I hear ya.

Well, I'm glad Josie is finally gone, but the episode wasn't fun to watch for me. Elimination challenge was kind of boring and Tom's snottiness at judges' table left a bad taste. Only thing I really liked was the guest chefs' interactions at the dining table.

Sheldon is awesome. He's definitely in my top 10 favorite contestants of all-time for Top Chef.

Too bad his first batch got ruined with the overheated oil because he probably could have won if had served more chicken.

When Josie said to Lizzie that Michelle was one of the judges that sent her home, Lizzie was looking at her very intensely with a look that could only read "I hope history repeats itself you obnoxious wailing banshee."

Emeril cracked me up. He had some of the best lines tonight. Although it certainly helped that everyone was hammered! I think they should do judges table the next day all of the time. With the wine flowing freely the judges were really pulling out some hilarious commentary.

I think we've all been trying to block that out, thank you very much! ;)

Padma, Padma. Wow. What cattiness over Stefan. He should be kicked off because he LIED TO YOU? I didn't realize that ranked so high among culinary deficits. Or that the mere concept of Chicken Cordon Bleu could be so appalling to a person.

I felt bad for Brooke - it was definitely a bad night for her, but I'm glad she survived it. If she had gone and Josie had stayed, my head would have exploded. And those two guys came off like total dicks. "I'm glad she didn't hire us." Whatever asshole. Like to see you cook in a reality show for X number of weeks straight and see how you come off.

Oh and Josh? I still hate you.

How drunk were those judges at the table? That might be a song. Anyway. So damn glad Chef Josie Self Promoting Idiot is gone. Tom seemed particularly testy at the lack of time management - again. The judges also seem to be tiring of the bullshit that Stefan and Josie spout. Perhaps they both should have stayed home. They are a bit outclassed this season. Maybe they should wait for the old-timers episode. Josh is just a tad catty... Who's for old Josh with the beard rather than mustache Josh with the curl?
