TRAINERS MAKE SURPRISE VISITS TO KIDS’ HOMES – The contestants are on their own this week when trainers Bob, Jillian and Dolvett leave town to surprise kid participants Biingo, Lindsay and Sunny and their families with a visit to their hometowns. Some players struggle without their trainer, but others rise to the occasion, and an unexpected leader emerges. In honor of this week’s “Pay it Forward” theme, contestants run a 5K and money is donated to a local Boys and Girls Club, with the winning team earning $15,000 to split among themselves. The trainers plan special surprises for each kid in their hometown before returning to the ranch in time for last chance workouts, when Jillian has a run-in with a player on another trainer’s team. Later, the weigh-in brings welcome news to one player who has been struggling, before another player is sent home.

I can't figure out what the producer monkeys are trying to do with Jillian and I am rapidly losing interest waiting for whatever poo the monkeys are going to fling on the walls to manipulate the game.
I can't stand Jeff and I'm going to irrationally blame him for Jillian losing not one but two of her team because of him. Because I can't stand him. A lot.
I'm getting tired of Jillian and Bob playing mommy and daddy and the fine man in red is like the evil interloper who can't play in their personal sandbox. I hope someone - anyone - on Dolvett's team wins - yes, even Jackson.
I don't like any of the kids. Or their parents. Waste of time and effort and my viewing time.
Last season was an enormous train wreck, this time around it's just boring.

That haircut so took 10 years off Pam's age. She looks a lot better with the shorter hair.
The dynamic among all of the group is so different from last season when it was so toxic thanks to you know who. I am very grateful for that change.
Dolvett is oh so pretty, even when shilling that smoothie that I've already forgotten the brand name of, so fail on that.
Time for me to run a 5K, I guess.

Count me in as confused about what the producers are playing at with the Jillian edit. They stacked her team with whiners, then try to give her the bitch edit and try to paint her as a bad trainer. I really saw it with her disagreement with Jeff. Most of that dramatic-music edited scene was Jillian screaming good job and come on. It wasn't till the last couple minutes with him on the ropes where she was actually calling him out. He was doing a halfass job and she said something. Her record speaks for itself - of the 13 seasons, Jillian was involved in 10 of them and won 8. Really, she won 9 of them b/c although Olivia from season 11 ended with Bob, she got most of her training on Jillian's team with Hannah. Hell, there are a couple seasons with Jillian completely shutting Bob out and having an all-Black finale. So producers trying to paint Jillian's methods as too harsh and ineffective is wrong and a bit mean given what she's proven of herself on this show.

Dr. Hbullshit running with Jackson to help him. I guess he believes he can save gay men too.
Yes, Pam you got third place running against other severely overweight people. I doubt you would do that well in a real race. Btw, you kinda of look like a over-aged you know what after your makeover (yes, send me to hell.) Hot damn!!! I still can not stand you.
Has the kids lost weight?! I am not buying the fact that they did not know the trainers were coming. Talk about yawnfest 2013!!!
To be honest about it, this season is almost as bad as last, but for different reasons.

Hated the forced interactions with the kids and their fears. Of COURSE no cheerleaders will be mean to Lindsay while there are cameras there! Good grief. And what is Sunny's mom supposed to say on-camera? "Become a doctor or we will disown you"? I did laugh at Jillian trying to row. And I feel like running on a broken foot is probably a bad idea for Bingo, but what do I know?
5K, yay! Gosh, these people acted like they were being told to run a marathon with all their teeth gnashing and zOMG CAN I DO THIS?!? crap.
Weigh-in outfits: Jillian = HOT HOT HOT. I liked Allison's dress, and Dolvett's pretty pink shirt. Honestly don't remember what Bob was wearing, besides tattoos.
Jackson, girlfriend! I'm glad you found your inner ripped bald black dude. Really.
The blue team really needed to eliminate someone this week. Assuming the editing was correct, they were a bunch of lazy slackers.
Pam was kind of insane, and I sorta liked that about her. Glad she seems to be doing well at home. I feel bad for her unfortunate weight distribution, though...she will always have that tummy out in front. (And I know how she feels, ugh.)
The editing monkeys did a lot of showing Frangelina (or whatever her name is) with the white team and NOT with the red team. Expecting her to defect any week now.

I love you, Jackson, take the whole thing down! I hate you, Jeff, go home, deadweight.
The kids all seem very sweet, but now that they have kids on there, with the idea that more kids will watch, I noticed they have had to go PG life at the ranch, big time. There is no drama between players four weeks in? Must be a record. Bingo doesan't bother me. I think he can be overkill in the charm department, but when you hear how uprooted his life got this past year, I understand how insecure he might feel, and be trying to overcompensate. I don't see the kids losing much weight, though. I know they cannot be eliminated, but I thought they would at least get weighed!
Pam bugged. All of her talk about wanting to prove to Jillian was stupid because all Jillian ever screamed at her about was that she DID believe in her and PAM was the confidence problem.
I didn't love the episode. Bob was being a hypocrite suddenly taking Jeff's side when he was all for Jillian giving them utter hell week one. He is so wishy washy, needing his team to worship him like he does. They can't just like Bob. They have to hate every other trainer in true allegience to him. Happens every season, and I would rather see bullshit drama happen in the house than the Bob and Jillian dance.
I cannot believe white team lost again when blue team was sucking so hard. Argh. Instead of cash, the challenge should have offered pound advantage or something. Pam seemed to be busting her butt and doing the work, so maybe she just really wanted to go home.

Francelina (I think?) needed to layer about ten more sports bras on top of the one she was wearing during that 5k. Those girls looked like they were causing her some pain.
Word.
I cannot for the life of me understand why these people do not get more supportive sports bras. You cannot go jogging with 5-10 pound boobs, with non-high compression sports bras and not have them A.) hurt or B.) look like a small animal has gotten lost in your shirt. I can understand not wearing supportive sports bras for the weigh in or whatever stupid meta reason they have but you could not make me give my Enell bras up. Over my dead, cold body producer monkeys. And I say this as a plus sized girl, speaking from experience.

So Jackson's puking was more theatrics than actual illness? Seems it went away pretty well when he turned into Trainer Jackson and started yelling and had something to distract him from it. Curious. (I'm not saying he doesn't have a legit issue, just that it's aggrivated by his sometimes overly dramatic personality).
Ooh, the obligatory 5K. It's a fatty right of passage (and a block on my TBL bingo card--I'm going for a cover all here folks).
What's the deal with the one girl's (not Sunny, the other one) sister? I'm kind of hoping Dr. Phillian visits and we discover part of the girl's weight issues are due to her sister being a right beyotch (and teasing her sister). That would be far more interesting than the whole cheerleader b.s. That pissed me off. Snotty girls like that (and perhaps those particular girls weren't that mean) are all about faking and being fake. You think they aren't faking it for the cameras and then being nasty to that little girl behind her back?
I did like Dolvett's take on bullying though. "Everyone's been bullied at some time and you just have to deal with it." THANK YOU!
I'm officially over the whole kid thing. I was cutting it some real slack but it's just filler. This show could easily be an hour if we cut the kids, give the challenge less air time, show us a bit of drama, and make the weigh in no longer than 10 minutes.
Jillian calling out Jeff with all the "be a real man" shit was disgusting. I'm not against her calling him out for being lazy (he was being lazy) but tieing it all into stereotypes of manliness is just pathetic.
Overall I'm just not feeling this season. (what I am feeling is "The Following" on Fox--not a bad show, I'll be watching it in real time and playing catch up on TBL online the next morning)

Btw, the contestants who won while Jillian was his or her trainer, became the top dog by playing the game. Ally was brought back because some viewers complain there was no female winner yet. Hannah and Olivia played the game. The producers probably fixed it so Jillian would look good in her last season.
Get rid of Bob and Jillian. Bring back Anna to work with Dolvett. The other two are way past their so-called prime.

Pam, thank you thank you thank you for leaving! The whole "daaaaaaamn girl" thing at the end almost had me pulling a J-Rex and heaving up my dinner.
The part with the cheerleaders just made me cringe. I never got why some girls are SO into cheer and think cheerleading is the bomb. At my high school most of the cheerleaders were not too bright, not too pretty and ended up working the checkout at KMart supporting a kid or two by age 20. I then realized Lindsay is only 13 and cut her some slack....
Jeff is a douche. I think he is sandbagging and then when the competition gets tough, he'll start dropping big numbers.

I like Lisa. She seems to just do her job without the drama. She will be very pretty when she's thinner and I'll bet a true knockout after a makeover. Who is the one with the 'chin' (the one who missed her husband)? Everytime I see her I see the Pillsbury Dough Boy. She doesn't strike me as the sharpest knife in the drawer. Lady, you are there for a reason so stop whining.
Dolvett, sigh. Love those pearly whites. Pure eye candy he is.
I noticed Jackson's miraculous cure for his puking too. I think he psyches himself out and when he was 'leading' he did pretty well. Mind over matter it seems.
Glad Pam is gone. Daaaamn girl. Good riddence.
Jeff IS a douche. He could win this whole thing if he'd get up off his fat ass and WORK.
I hope they bring a couple people back or shake up the teams. This is getting boring. Waiting for Danni to have a meltdown because Pam is gone. Pity party time.

The kids at home bored me & I FF'd through much of it. I get that childhood obesity is a huge problem but I'm not sure this is really addressing it or offering new solutions. Clean out the fridge, move more, family involvement... hasn't the BL been preaching that all along? What's new? Maybe I'm just old & jaded.
Poor Sami, they dressed her in tin foil. Maybe Reynolds Wrap is a new sponsor. If Bob can attempt to tie his selling of tax software into working out than Sami in foil is an easy yes.
If I had to hear "Damn, girl" much more I would've wanted to pull out all of Pam's hair, new style or not. Once could be considered her own clever little thing, 15 times is just annoying overkill. I almost was sorry to see her go until she started up with that then I was cheering her exit.
And just because it's worth mentioning Dolvett getting frustrated is kind of adorable. He's angry but because you're short changing yourself? I just want to squeeze that ripped, bald, black man.

There's nothing shameful to be out of work for a long time because of a dragging economy, but footage like that won't help get the show another visit with the First Lady. And, let's add to the public shame by going into the dirty details of how his family lost everything.

It does look like Dani will have a meltdown because Pam left. This show produces more crap than the cows on my one brother-in-law's farm. I wonder if the one girl who went to Jillian *snort* to talk about daddy being a drunk and making her fat will make it to the white team. She needs Jilly to save her. double *snort* *snort*

Ya know, though, I do like Pam and all the rest of the contestants this season. For me the producers have finally gotten the formula right. Information and inspiration are the keys. I'm still rooting for Gina because she seems so authentic, but I won't be unhappy to see any of them win, unlike last season where I was truly appalled at the outcome.
I think I just flunked snarkiness, but what can I say? It's just nicer in that neighborhood this season.

Different areas, I guess. The head cheerleader at my high school was valedictorian and prom queen. Full academic scholarship to UNC-Chapel Hill, not too shabby. Those cheerleaders reminded me of the ones from some Cheer show I caught a couple of months ago.At my high school most of the cheerleaders were not too bright, not too pretty and ended up working the checkout at KMart supporting a kid or two by age 20. I then realized Lindsay is only 13 and cut her some slack....
Alex has really been largely absent as far as story, but I guess that's coming soon. Still have no idea what her story is. Until she got a blister during the 5K, had she said two words this whole time?
Blue guy (David?) who has been injured is pretty absent too.
