DA Pam James lands the case of a rape victim who is arrested for the murder of her ex-boyfriend and brings charges against her, but enough evidence is gathered for a case against another suspect with DA Barba, and the two DAs square off. Starring: Mariska Hargitay (Det. Olivia Benson), Danny Pino (Det. Nick Amaro), Kelli Giddish (Det. Amanda Rollins), and Ice T (Det. Odafin "Fin" Tutuola).

Some ups and downs, but on the whole, I thought it was a very interesting episode. Pity poor Jessie didn't get her rape to be legally filed. But at least that Provo jerk got his in the end.

But as much as I'm really loving the ensemble feel, where's Cragen? Munch I can understand (Richard Belzer's getting on in years), but Cragen?

I like this season's DA A LOT. He seems to be less interested in telling the SVU detectives all the reasons why he can't prosecute a case and more interested in actually prosecuting based on whatever evidence they can provide.

Were we to understand that Provo had a fling with Malcolm's mom as well, that she was one of the damaged women he always went after? I kind of got that vibe at the end, but then I thought I might be reading into things.

I actually found the episode boring, but I was fine with the end result. Jane Kaczmarek's character didn't do as much as I thought she would.

This case was incredibly confusing, wasn't it? Obviously I am very sensitive to domestic violence and rape but way too many men involved who all did different things to the victim that I found it incredibly confusing and contrived. I couldn't keep any of the stories straight. It was so jumbled.

Enver is so incredibly hot, my god.

For those interested in the guest actors, I couldn't believe how much Yvonne Zima looks like her sister Madeleine Zima. I knew I knew that face, but when I did IMDB searching I had never seen Yvonne before. Rather I had seen Madeleine on Californication. I don't know what to think of their parents cuz their young daughters act in some pretty disturbed roles.

Yah I thought it was Madeleine Zima too (she's a much better actor imo.... Yvonne didn't do it for me). Also is Jane Kaczmarek coming back in future episodes? she didn't have much screentime.
