Abi probably stood a chance until she called Skupin an idiot and a moron. Of course, we have no idea what was edited out before that, but she didn't do herself any favors.
Then again, she's right. Denise will win over them all in votes.

Maybe Abi was calling Skupin names to try to insure that they would take her as the goat.

I think Lisa lost the game this episode, which is a bummer to me, but at least my Survivor Boyfriend Malcolm seems to be unbeatable. I'm not rooting for him as hard as I was with Kim, but in the same way: it would be nice if the best player won. And I think he's done the best this season.
LISA AND SKUPIN! You had the game in your hands! You don't need Denise to beat Malcolm!

So the "deal" was final 3 after getting rid of Abi. Another edit.
Fire to Skupin: Remember me?!
Tandang loyalty play, Lisa? Not too shabby.

So point one: can none of these people do math? Other than Australia, there's always been two tribal councils in the last three days and then FTC on day 39. There are four people, three days left. It's going to be F2. But their assumption is still F3. Bonus evidence: F3 = 8 jury members = no. Yes, I'm aware that happened in Micronesia due to injury.
Which brings me to point two: WTF Lisa/Skupin? Everyone, everyone, agrees that if Malcolm or Denise makes it to FTC, they will win. You just eliminated that as a possibility. In your rubric, the only way you win the game is if you vote out Denise, Skupin beats Malcolm in the F4 immunity and you vote out Malcolm. Yes, this guarantees you make F3, but you lose. Playing for second, basically. Dumb. Malcolm gets a pass because he needs Denise as a target at F4 if Skupin wins immunity. He's not going to get that if she's gone. So I actually think he should have given up the idol, but not bad that he did.
Point three: has anyone other than Todd talked more about strategy without actually doing anything strategic than Lisa? Because she gets to talk about it all the time and then never does anything. Which maybe she wins at F2 after Skupin wins the last two challenges, but I would be shocked as she mostly seems to be getting the Amanda memorial wishy-washy edit.

Lisa scored major points defending her former tribe's wins when Denise insinuated it was luck. Boy, she backpedalled on that one, didn't she?
The thing is, Denise was saying Abi got that far through luck--the luck of being on Tandang, where she could sit out every single challenge. Denise's point still stands, she just didn't defend it.

I am so confused, I thought they had agreed to vote off Denise strategically during the reward. What changed? Although I don't think I could endure Abi for another day if I had the option and enjoyed seeing Skupin dance away from TC. She just doesn't know when to STFU. Poor Ponderosa.
They agreed to vote out Denise at the F4, not the F5.
I wish Denise clarified, unless she did but we didn't get to see, what she meant about luck for Tandang. If I was her I would've added that while Tandang was strong at challenges Abi was not and did absolutely nothing to help her team win. Abi had participated in only 2 challenges for the first half of the game. If her tribe hadn't been as strong as they were, she would've had to go to TC. That's where her luck came in.
Adios Abi, though she was right in my opinion. Denise or Malcolm should win the game for sure now.

I ran into RC at TARCon this past Sunday. Apparently, I've been mistaken in my attempts to emphasize with Crabbi-Maria, because she really is that bad. I look at it as her being a bitch, the others reacting to it, she reacts to their reactions by hitting higher bitch notes, and the circle keeps going until she gets voted out, which happened tonight. That was for the best, considering the alternate ending had Denise trying to drown Abi-Maria in the sand. Seriously, though, Probst should've told the truth at the Reward Challenge . . .
"The winner of this challenge will go on a picnic in the sea, as well as whale shark watching. That person will bring two others along, leaving somebody back at camp, listening to Abi-Maria bitch and moan for eight hours. Worth playing for?!?"
Anybody else want to strangle Malcolm for keeping the idol? If Skupin and Lisa flipped, Denise would've been dead . . . and I think she would have try to strangle Malcolm. If you have the necklace and the idol, wouldn't it be worth saving the person who's been with you for over five weeks. I let out a sigh of relief at the way things shook out, content in seeing the rough-and-tumble sex therapist live for one more day. Also, I voted for her in the $100K sponsor voting thing. I'm resigned that Lisa will win it, but I want to show support.
Michael + Caffeine = Awesome Wackiness. Man, if he had pop in the Outback, maybe he and Kimmi could've gotten along. And seeing him dance away from the Council set? Wow. We are never gonna figure him out, will we?
I'm excited for the finale. There aren't any real goats, we got jury members who will set phasers to "Bitter," and I'm not even sure if we'll end up with three people on Day 39 like everybody has been talking about. Only thing guaranteed is that Probst will make an ass of himself at the Reunion. Can't wait!
ETA: Almost forgot . . . did J-Penn actually flip off Crabi-Maria? Secondly . . . I liked the shot of her big Brazilian ass. What? I'm straight and still breathing. I'm ashamed, but it does look nice.

And everything you need to know about the difference between Abi and Denise could be seen in their reactions to not being picked to go on the reward.
Denise: No, go on (implied "don't worry about me, have fun")
Abi: Wah Me! They should have picked me! Why does everyone hate me?

To be fair though----she was talking about Abi not outplaying etc. the "other 13", and said that was a little bit of luck----yes Tandang DID win a lot of challenges, but Abi didn't participate in most of the challenges---so it was luck for ABI that she was on a strong tribe. If she had been on Matsing...she wouldv'e probably been gone before Roxy.

She called Skupin and Lisa stupid, that's what happened. The deluded little girl can play the race card all she wants but that ain't going to change the fact that she just talked her way to the Ponderosa.

Well I wouldn't exactly call RC an unbiased source. Just sayin'.

If I was Denise, I would be pissed that Malcolm didn't give me the idol, just in case. It's not like he still needed it. I think Malcolm was secretly hoping Denise would be blindsided by Lisa and Skupin, while his own hands were still technically clean. He would have been able to argue that he never betrayed her himself, just failed to realize that the rest of their alliance would and didn't give her the idol as an insurance policy.

Malcolm should have slipped Abi his hidden immunity idol & let her play it like it was the one she was talking about having all along. He could act just as surprised as everyone else would, Denise would be gone, & he'd probably still have her vote.

But what I thought was smart was the way Lisa turned it into an overall criticism of Tandang....who make up most of the jury. I'm really glad her brother the minister got her head back in the game. BTW, he was who led the prayer last week, Lisa said she had no plans to do that.

This season my initial pick was Denise and she's got a damn good shot at winning - the only one I think would beat her hands down would be Malcolm. I'm glad they got rid of Abi tonight because I really don't want to see her any more but I think Lisa and Skupin completely blew any shot at winning when they decided to vote out Abi rather than Denise.

Lisa scored major points defending her former tribe's wins when Denise insinuated it was luck. Boy, she backpedalled on that one, didn't she?
I interpreted Denise's comments about the luck of Tandang wins to be specifically about how Abi was lucky to be on a tribe that had such a strong winning streak. And I think it's pretty clear that none of Tandang's immunity wins were due to Abi. In fact, didn't she sit out several challenges? Tandang did not need her one bit to win. So yes, Abi is/was very lucky to be on Tandang. Lisa took Denise's comments a bit out of context in order to butter up her former tribemates on the jury.
In other news, I'm enjoying the overall maturity of the remaining players. I am SOOO happy they voted out Abi. Her presence was so toxic. Not sure if it was a smart play strategically but it sure is a great one for me as a viewer. Good riddance. It's hard to believe Malcolm is just 24. He seems wiser than his years.

Players very rarely change a vote at TC, let alone 2 people changing their votes. Abi was gone no matter what she said at tribal.

Since he was with Lisa and Skupin in eliminating Denise, that would have been the smartest move. Ever. I would have stood up and applauded.
