So did anyone else watch this raggedy-ass show?

I can't believe they didn't do any formal tributes this year! I thought there was gonna be a full-blown Bill Withers tribute and I was really looking forward to it.

New Edition...bless their hearts. Bobby and Ralph sounded awful

Elle Varner needs to have SEVERAL seats with that wretched performance and the audacity to have someone hold her award so she could read her speech.

John Legend straight-up disrespected them by leaving after his performance. It just looked bad when he won an award later (for what, I don't recall)and the presenter says "Oh, did he leave?" lol...tragic.

Tyrese is really trying to make this TGT (Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank) thing happen...unfortunately LSG already existed and did it well.

Someone on Twitter said Ralph sounded like Eddie Kane from "The 5 Heartbeats." He was terribly hoarse.

Also - 2 Chainz's performance? Someone help me understand why he was performing strip club anthems at the Soul Train Awards. Then he was followed by Stevie Wonder. Umm... yeah.

I appreciated some of the old school aspects like Eddie Levert singing Cassanova (Cedric could have sat down though) but for the most part, I was bored. I also thought they were going to do a Bill Withers tribute when I saw him in the audience.

I was terribly surprised at Ralph when watching this. Even when I was a kid, I thought he had the best MJ sounding voice of the late 80s and early 90s. Bobby, I expected, due to his drug use problems over the years, but Ralph, I was surprised at! I know these people have aged over the years, but there are other singers that are much older than them like Stevie Wonder that could still sing their hearts outs.

And what the hell was Charlie Wilson doing up there with him? He's replaced Ron Isley as the dude who got old and didn't realize it.

I was glad to see Charlie singing Outstanding (one of my favorite Gap Band songs), but yeah, he had no business up there with that young'un.
