From SNPP:

One of Homer's bowling teammates turns out to be Fat Tony's accountant; when Lisa adds insects to her diet, the insects fight back...in her dreams

ETA: Fat Homer in a muumuu flying!

"I want to secede, but I don't know which state I'm in." I really wish I didn't see that couch gag. The cough gag as a tattoo was a good concept...until it was Marge's tramp stamp. Ick.

The Holy Rollers have a new roster: Flanders, Rev. Lovejoy, Rabbi Krustovsky, and The Parson. And Otto was kicked out of the Pin Pals...again. But still, really good to see them again!

Lunch Lady Doris is a vegetarian? And slept with two of the beatles? And they still think recasting her voice was a good idea? I did like how Lisa brought up that she promised Paul McCartney that she couldn't eat meat. I'd believe Old Jewish Man, Herman and Cletus all eat bugs, too. And eating bugs led her to start eating meat again. I liked that twist.

As much as I liked Dan's plot, he joins the ranks of characters that seems to have been here the whole time, is important for one episode, then never appears again. So I had a tough time giving a crap about him. Steve Carell was pretty good in the role, though. He just kept getting weirder and weirder.

All in all, a pretty decent episode.

"I can't believe Homer Simpson could be a part of the day of the locust." I can't believe it took them 24 years to make that joke.

I missed most of the second half of the show: did Lisa forsake vegetarianism for good, or did she get back on the wagon at the end? Thanks in advance if anyone has an answer.

Fat Tony is always good for a laugh from me. "As my more ruthless brother who works on Wall Street says, 'Cut another 12%.' "

Lunch Lady Doris is a vegetarian?

"There's very little meat in these gym mats."

I'm pretty sure they didn't address it, but she did let go all of the grasshoppers she was raising.

Yet another reminder of how time stands still on The Simpsons. Didn't Lisa promise Paul & Linda McCartney she'd be a vegetarian? That's two wives ago for Sir Paul.

I really like the Fat Tony character. The whole Bulgarian woman bullying him was great. Joe Mantegna's delivery is perfect, especially on lines like "she eats a quick lunch!"

Lisa eating the bugs was okay. It did give Homer the chance to say that Americans can eat whatever they want, as long as they eat too much of it.

I cheered when Fat Homer in a Muumuu flew by, that episode is one of my all time faves. :)

Loved seeing the Holy Rollers and Pin Pals again, and yay The Parson is now a Holy Roller!

Any Fat Tony/Joe Mantegna appearance instantly makes me love that episode more (well, him and Johnny Tightlips). Fat Tony stuck in jury duty? Awesome. Fat Tony stuck in jury duty going head to head with an old Bulgarian woman over a window seat in the jury room? Priceless.

I just realized that the Lisa choosing to eat bugs SL totally bored me.

1) I really love that the law finally caught up with him...and it was only for jury duty.
2) I wish this was the B-Plot instead of the Lisa story. It even intersected with the A-plot more fluidly!

"Never sign a petition!"
Fat Tony: "I felt bad for the guy... sitting there at his little card table."

I'm pretty sure Lisa went back to not eating meat at the end. She did promise Paul McCartney after all.

We didn't actually see Lisa eat "real" meat. The shrimp she was going to eat got taken by Santa's Little Helper and the turkey leg she was holding when she was meat walking was still whole.

I did like the added sound effect of the iron pills making a metal clanking sound.

But didn't Lisa ate a ton of bugs (which, is technically meat, and at the end of the show was meat to her), thus she did, for a while, break her promise to Paul MCCartney.
