RIDING HORSES BAREBACK ON THE BEACHES OF JAMAICA - The girls are challenged to shoot a trial television commercial for the Jamaica Tourist Board, including writing their own script and starring in their own television spot while horse-back-riding in the ocean. The winner gets to come back to Jamaica to shoot an official television spot that will be broadcast worldwide. Then the models change bikinis for the "Dream Come True" perfume photo shoot where they pose for the chance to appear in the official fragrance ad.

Because other than that not a whole lot happened. Bye Nastasia Pipes.
Laura didn't listen to her mother about no more tears.
Its quite sad that "Dreams Come True" is held in as high a reverence as CoverGirl with the contestants. Sad enough that I was amused by it.
I also liked the introspective walking alone on the beach moments at the beginning. This episode was getting the show's campy legs back.

What is their target age group for their silly fragrance? Because Leila's picture was too sexy, Nastasia's too innocent and cutesy (which explains why Rob did not like it), and Laura's too sexy. Tyra said something along the lines of the target being 18 - 30ish I thought - how was Leila & Laura's photo inappropriate for that age group?
Why wasn't the Hatch guy there? He was at the photo shoot and is in charge of the whole damn thing - I would think his opinion would matter. I miss guest judges.
I don't remember Nastasia smiling as much as they showed in this episode - she looks gorgeous with a smile.

Oh, and weird as it is, I miss Jay Manuel and Nigel. I'm not sure what the Asian guy's name is but since his entire purpose is to announce the opinions of others, can't Tyra do that?
And the assault dude running from the law, Rob Evans? Bores the shit out of me. I sure hope he doesn't come to my place to beat the shit out of me as is his tendency.

I like Kiara. She's not a model by any means, but she's smart and direct and doesn't seem to be an uber-bitch. I like her. I'm just pissed that fucking Lara is still there. I'd much rather have a Nastasia/Kiara/Leila final three. Ugh.It is a travesty that Kiara is in the F3. That is all.

I wonder how likely they were to actually cast a white blonde as the face of Jamaica?
On the plus side, all of their Dream Come True photos were better than Crazy Lisa's.

The scoring system is so bad; how could a model competition not be cumulative? It is ridiculous that only the most recent week counts.
Laura's photo was awful to me-she does not know how to work her body or her face. She looked constipated again.
Natasia's face just looked a little unreal and dazed.
I liked Leila's, did not love it.
Kiara did have best photo, except for her not showing her face.
None of them were great.
I really got tired of Laura; she seems like she feels really entitled, whether she does well or not. Natasia seems like a sweetheart.I so wanted Laura to go home. She lucked out on that challenge.
What is with these breakdowns at panel this cycle?I don't remember so many tears and these are college girls. They need to grow up. You can't cry every time something goes wrong in your world.
Seriously, they could not find a horse that would behave? That was so obviously a set-up. Why do they want to sabotage everything, especially if it is a "real" shoot?

Agreed. Despite my gripes with Cycle 19, I am happy at the very least that when Tyra goes through the prizes, the advert we now get to see for DCT is Sophie's, rather than Lisa looking like a grinning Gollum clutching the Precious. On the plus side, all of their Dream Come True photos were better than Crazy Lisa's.

I'm DEAD. Seriously Lisa's picture was all kinds of ugly.I am happy at the very least that when Tyra goes through the prizes, the advert we now get to see for DCT is Sophie's, rather than Lisa looking like a grinning Gollum clutching the Precious.
I agree with everyone about the editing. It was amazing heh. That horse during the challenge was evil, wasn't it? I actually liked Leila's commercial the best, then Laura's. I was pretty surprised when I saw the scores.
As for the pictures IA with Kiara's being the best. Laura looked beg and Nastasia short. Leila's was just OK.
Of course it was very obvious Nastasia was going home. They let her talk for once!

The editing really pointing to a Leila win, as Kiara has an horrible portfolio (save Waterfall and DCT shoot) and Laura being a bitter bitch a la Chelsey.
As photoshoot goes, IA with none of them are really good but I do agree with the call out order.
Kiara got the best picture, as a whole shot it is good but her eyes bug me in close up. I rather her eyes were closed and not half open.
Laura's shot is too athletic for me, look at the arms. Her face also registered old for me, I think is the bone structure.
Laura looks horrible in panel, I like her straight hair but not the eyebrows.
Nastasia is always short in my mind and then I realized she is almost as tall as Leila in panel when she stood right next to Leila.
I also think that Tyra was more cruel in this episode when announcing who was eliminated. IIRC, she had not once told the girls about the fashion show like "it is utterly world" before announcing the last finalist. It was like telling 2 children how wonderful it is in Disneyland but only 1 of you can go to Disneyland.

I think she's a stunning girl with model potential...if she could tone done the muscles and learn how to pose. I don't like her attitude. The whole "I need to take care of people' is condescending and obnoxious. I have a friend who has a gf like that. She's younger than all of us by A LOT but still thinks that we need her help and then she imposes herself on us. That said, Kiara does seem to be there when someone needs help (Leila last night) which is really nice. BUt there's a fine line. Kiara also seems to think she's entitled to the win because she had a hard life. This rubs me the wrong way. Just as you had no choice what family you were born into, neither did Laura. Now Laura is totally irritating and an insecure, bitchy follower, but she "deserves" it just as much. It's a modeling competition. Your childhood should have nothing to do with it. (okay, Tyra?) and we've already had a Cinderella story.
What was with Laura's eyebrows at panel? Did she tease them out? Dye them more yellow? And is her tan darker?

Much as Lisa turned my stomach, not sure Laura's picture was any better...the tan is just too awful and her face looks deranged. Wait, just like Lisa's...
At least Laura's photo made her look younger than 65.

Kelly actually made me laugh at the line about sending her daughter away to an all-girl school for sexy-smizing at the dinner table. God help me, I'm coming around on Kelly Cutrone.

"I just think Kiara's being annoying right now and she's being really disrespectful of the other girls".
So it's all about the other girls?
"It does make me frustrated when Kiara talks about ... ".
Yes, because it's really frustrating when other people suggest they might have personal reasons for wanting to win?
I was a little surprised about the ad scores. I thought Leila's final product seemed reasonable. I wouldn't have thought her picture would end up with the same score as Nastasia's, if Nastasia couldn't get through her text. Is the final product available on-line?

Nastasia was my favorite. I'm sorry to see her go right before the finale.

Laura also annoyed me with "Kiara is being disrespectful to the other girls" when she was celebrating her win. Since when is celebrating your win without saying "in all you tall bitches' face" disrespectful? Sensitive, trick? Actually it is just Laura being a bitch and a hater. Period.
I love Nastacia and am sad that she won't be in the finale instead of Laura. Laura does not "deserve" (heh) a spot in the finals because she had a great childhood...no really, it's because she sucks lately. I used to really like her.

“It’s really not a basic human right to get a modeling contract.”--Elyse Sewell, 2003 (!)
I feel for Kiara, but the fact that she's had a tough life doesn't magically turn her into a model. Fortunately, Laura isn't a model either, so everyone loses (except maybe Leila)!!

Nobody could agree on what the brief for Dream Come True was. I'm sure if the girls were told that it's meant for 12 year olds they would have toned down the sex. Agree that the fine folks in the Photoshop department messed up by taking the beautiful beach location and turning into a sea of Pepto Bismol.
Other than the silly editing stuff – talking horse! evil horse! reflections on the beach even though it's only the final four! – this episode was so blah. Even the ten-second preview of next week was more exciting. Kelly and Jez Smith fighting on set? Someone literally WALKING OFF the runway? Another craptastic fashion show? Can't wait (seriously).
Ah, Nastasia Pipes. I hardly knew ye.

And if Laura, etc. can't handle a lit of bit of celebrating by another "model" how is she going to manage in the real world? I doubt that models competing for jobs are always sensitive to other models feelings. These girls all need to grow up. I can't believe how childish most of them are, for being of college age.
Elise was the best, that is a great quote.

Lol, with the bushy blond eyebrows and her synthetic orange glow, I kept thinking that Laura looked like a muppet at panel. Her pouty facial expression did nothing to dispel the image.

On Britain's NTM and also Australia, the judges and the host(ess) had no qualms about telling the girls when they had to lose weight, etc...trying to keep it real. Laura is looking close to "model plus size" these days. She looks great in clothes, but her body in a bikini is not a model's body, whether we agree with the standards or not.

I think Laura's dark roots are showing too much on her eyebrows and hair. If they are going to do something that drastic to a girl, they should provide upkeep.
ANTM has historically done little to no upkeep on the girls after the makeover episode, which is why we've grown accustomed to dark-root blondes, oxidized reds, and weaves that have turned into woves in season finales.
