Teams must endure a steamy detour in Istanbul; after a poor performance in the previous leg of the race, Brent and Josh struggle to keep their places in the competition.

Seeing them laugh about it and joke while they nearly cost them the race because they got a bit distracted about their money? Being surrounded by such poverty and that they could still take what did not belong to them and talk about getting extra food? That to me was stomach turning. I wished they had been sent home right there; imho Phil should have popped up and sent them packing, and given Long Hair their money back plus whatever the twins had on them at the time.
I did think Long Hair did such a good job of recovering and staying calm, and they never once blamed anyone, they just accepted they lost the money and had to find a way to get more. I think Long Hair showed such character while the twins lost any they might have had, you showed that a hundred dollars is worth having no sense of dignity or decency, I am sure your parents must be so proud.
I thought it was also pretty proactive of the Beekman boys to actually get out and direct traffic when they got trapped in it. So many teams often start panicking and crying about losing the race, yet they actually decided to do all they could to get things moving, I really liked seeing that.

“No more nice Twinnies???” Are you kidding me? You’re already the opposite of nice, with your petty, unapologetic theft and constant name-calling/insults.
The one tourist was wearing a pink Michigan State tee-shirt? How very odd.
“It must be the hat.” Oh, Ja(y)mes, I’m so sure that was the problem ;-)

Nice job of (Chippendale) James dropping the cups on the floor -- and then selling them to people so they can drink out of them. YUCK.
I hope those knees don't turn out to be the end of the Rocker/Lawyer. I liked them this ep - way to stay calm and cool even though it was a bad situation.

Poor sportsmanship. It's a race, yes, but it doesn't mean you don't have to act like a human.

I don't understand the Detour options. I mean, did they expect teams to think the bathing had some kind of hidden catch that made it a bad option? I think the real point was to get the Chippendales shirtless for a while.
Glad Rob is out of it. He's an arrogant ass, he knows he's an arrogant ass, and he tries to justify that he's an arrogant ass as him being his own man. Ugh. Good riddance.
Go James and Abba and James and Jaymes.

I am shocked that nothing was said at the mat about what happened. I know (and I'm sure someone can point out the details) that one team got a penalty when the mistakenly took someone's bag, and then went a returned it.
How the heck is it that so much worse than knowingly taking $100 that is laying on the floor a couple of feet from a team? They seemed to have a pretty good clue as to what they were doing. Heck, they shared to money to spread out the guilt.
Don't know what more to say.

I now HATE every single moment I see the twins or Trey & Lexi on my screen.
Both teams should have been eliminated from the Race for theft. They KNEW what they were doing and who they were doing it to.
Rockers are the epitome of gracious & calm.
BTW, I now formally object to Josh & Brent being called "Goat Farmers"....*LOL*...They are actually "Goat Farm Dabblers", since they only have a couple of goats, grow veggies and have a gift shop. Plus, Josh doesn't actually live on the farm. He commutes from the city every weekend! I've seen their show & it's nothing but a self-indulgent vanity show.
Don't know if you could tell, but tiny Brent is the control freak of the duo! Pretty smart to get out & direct traffic, but I still hate them. They should be gone.
Ok, whichever twin keeps calling people "Idiot" needs to have her tongue cut out.
Chippies were SOOOOOO cute at the spa! SO hard to see James not sell fast, but at least they made it.
Interesting what Rob said about "using" cockiness to overcome his own fears & insecurities....Doesn't make it RIGHT, but at least shows a little self-awareness. BUT, then he blows it by obnoxiously calling the Chippies "followers" because they got off the Metro....Like he & Kelly weren't sheep in previous legs???? He's an ass, no contest.
At least he gave Kelly props for her hard work.

I understand Abbie and Ryan being annoyed by the twins, but he seems so contemptuous and resentful of every other team. Like, what did James and Abba do? We haven't seen those two teams interact at all the entire season.
I must have blinked and missed something. What did Ryan say about the Rockers?

Nice to see Monster Truck go out on a high note with a nice sentiment about Kelly. And nice to see him go out in general.

I cry foul on the Twinnies for taking that money. It seemed they were reasonably certain that the money belonged to the Rockers, who were still AT the travel agency with them. It would be one thing if someone had left the money behind, but with the Rockers still there, it felt to me like they were outright stealing it. Just super shady. I had been a Twinnies fan up until this episode, but that really soured me on them.
I agree, I call foul too. James/Abba were still at the travel agency with them. They should have been penalized.
I'm also calling shenanigans on them successfully being able to beg for $100 in Bangladesh of all places. The producers must have been involved with at least some of that. To miraculously be able to raise $100 in that short of a time in Bangladesh seems really suspect. Regardless, I'm glad they didn't get eliminated.

I agree - I thought it was especially nice because during the bread-delivery task, they seemed to be floundering and just wandering around aimlessly. Maybe they learned from that and realized they needed to step up their game to remain in the race.

I must have blinked and missed something. What did Ryan say about the Rockers?
At the travel agency, he called them and the twins the two most annoying teams on the race, and complained about how sick he was of all of them.

Josh and Brent: nobody cares about you "saving" your farm, unless you mean you saved a bunch of baby goats from a tornado or something. The universe would survive if someone else was running "your farm"....

Honestly, how did the Rockers not put two and two together? It's not a criticism. They could've gotten $80 back, offered $20 to the foursome as a finders/stupidity fee, and gently remind them that if they ever pulled that shit again, they'd make like Ozzy and bite their heads off. I'm impressed they got the $100 from begging and stayed in the race.
Quick thought: the "goodbyes" from each greeter will be a part of the final task. Why else would we get them subtitled?
I know Rob is probably a pill, but I'd like to see him and Bopper in a dance-off. Perhaps with alcohol involved. Also disappointed a U-Turn for the Roadblock wasn't involved, because I would have paid to see Rob in that outfit.
Also disappointed in the Team Beekman. The Speed Bumps are so easy, and they went to the wrong ice cream stand. How do you do that? I'm glad they're still in the game, but that's Andrew & Dan stuff!

I still love James and Abba; and James and Jaymes are just so appreciative, they were so happy to be fifth.
Lexi was some sherbet wrangling savant but since she and Trey conspired with the twins I don't like them either. Also, Trey's Texas shorts squicked me out because I have a deep loathing of Texas due to a former friend.

Well, he was right about the twins, anyway ;-)
STEALING! Twins and Trey & Lexi are absolutely disgusting human beings. I don't care what the circumstances are. Both teams are DEAD to me now, no matter what they may do from here on.
I'm going to draw a big line between the teams here. It seems very clear to me that Trey would have given the money back if he had been the one to find it, and he was telling the twins they needed to give it back. They also commented that he & Lexi needed a lot of "convincing" to go along with it.
Ultimately, they did, which definitely drops them in my eyes as well. But no way in Hades do I consider them equally guilty here, when it's very very obvious to me that, left to their own devices, Trey & Lexi would have given the money back.

If it'd been me, the first people I am going to red ball would be other teams. But I think that they really just didn't think those two teams would do to them, which to me made their theft even more revolting.
But I still like how James and Abba didn't turn on the locals or act ugly towards anyone, though losing that amount of money and nearly being knocked out of the race could bring out the worst in many.
I always thought they had good hearts, this episode, to me, proved it. And, imho, it proved that the twins are a pair of catty, loud, thieving, little wretches.

I am now all about Long Hair Don't Care. When they realized they had lost their money they didn't panic, just took it in stride and rectified their situation. Good for them.
I also like the Beekmans--coincidentally Josh's book (The Bucolic Plague) crossed my desk this week, and it has given me a lot of insight into their dynamic. Brent is a very type-A person, but doesn't handle failure well. Josh is more laissez-faire, but more able to see the big picture.
