Problems with recaps or blogs (missing recaps, formatting problems, bad links, typos) should be reported in this thread.

When reporting new issues please provide as much detail as possible, and where applicable please provide a link back to what you are reporting. If the problem could be browser-specific (anything beyond "this page won't load at all," basically) please indicate your browser/OS even if you've mentioned it before, because Strega has lost her short-term memory. Screenshots are great if you can manage them, especially if the problem is hard to describe; if it's a hassle to upload it and post a link you can send it directly to tech@televisionwithoutpity.com.

If you think the problem is specific to handhelds, please take it here from now on.

I've split off the reports of recap pages missing/barfing/switched around to this thread.

Please put suggestions in the suggestion thread. This is for broken stuff and things that went boom. The post-login page thing would be something the software developer would have to add to the system (it's a good suggestion).

I have an issue that has nothing to do with the redesign! Most likely.

I'm trying to change my profile picture. So I upload a new picture. On the picture page, it appears to have been successful.

Then I view my profile, and...I see my old picture squished into the dimensions of the new picture.

So I remove the picture. I view my profile, and the picture is gone. So far, so good.

I upload my new picture again, and it appears to be successful. Except...in my profile, yet again, is my old picture squished into the dimensions of the new picture.

Finally, I upload my old picture, and in my profile, there's my old picture fitting into its correct dimensions.

I have no idea what's going on. Anyone else have issues with this?

Got some spacing issues in IE7. A little red line pokes out the left side and a div (?) is poking out the right side. Which is weird, since usually sites work in IE7 but not Firefox, but hey...

http://img175.images...age=twoplt8.jpg

Also, this airdate isn't very useful:

http://img245.images...ge=twop2mz8.jpg

[Dates are fixed. The line/div is still there...]

Since I didn't get a capture of the last error I spotted, I made sure to get this one.

I was reading the latest article on the Telefile blog (NBC upfronts and Life), and instead of watching the hulu selection, I decided to come to the forums using the Cheese Block. Doing so led to this overlap error. Five shows are covered.

After initially posting this, I checked to see if the smaller Shows block also got overlapped. It does.

Sorry, Matt. I think these ad issues got bumped ahead of that on the to-do list, but I'll check on it again (and reminding me isn't a bad thing). I think that some combination of the zap2it code & ours doesn't play well with XP. I've checked on a Mac using Firefox and it looks okay there. Do you have another browser on your machine you could look at that page with? I'm wondering if it's specific to Firefox, or if has more to do with XP. That might be clue. Or a red herring.

Speaking of headers, I wanted to check before deleting the posts: the extra space above the banner we had on Monday is gone for everyone, right?

I have a similar problem using IE6

http://img529.images.../ie6probin5.jpg

Also I have the extra space before the header.

I apologize if this has already been reported. I searched forums first.

Any time I try to get the previous posts from any member, I get a flood control message, even if it's the first thing I do when I get to the forums.

I use Safari for Windows.

I tested and this issue is not present in IE.

Just checking in to report that the envelope marking issue does appear to be resolved. However the hanging page thing happened again. This time I was stuck on www.iv.doubleclick.net and the page wouldn't load until it changed to www.televisonwithoutpity.com.

Had the envelope marking issue return today. I also noticed that when I go to the forums via the recap link instead of going to the beginning or even the last post read, it goes to the last page. It happened yesterday on the Top Chef forums and today on The Mole forums.

Strega, I just had a couple of instances where I checked out a thread that was marked as unread, and clicking on the title took me to somewhere around a month ago, instead of the last unread messages. The last forum this happened in was the Suggestion Box.

I, too, have had this problem. I've had in the Tech Issues Forum, but also in the other ones I read (Gossip Girl, Talk Shows). To be perfectly honest, I think this happened even with the "old" TWOP. I used to think it was a cookies/cache problem on my end, but I've repeatedly cleared both and started over, only to have the problem recur (I realize if I clear my cookies, TWOP won't remember when I last visited; I'm talking about subsequent (third, fourth, fifth) visits where the problem happens). I think maybe it's the forum software or some stubbornly crappy cookie that's being sent to me.

Strega, in case this is useful: The forum thing where I'm sent way back (and the thread is marked unread) happens even in threads where I've posted. That is, it takes me back before my last post.

I am having a sporadic problem with either a forum, subforum or individual thread not wanting to load. It always seems to hang on "waiting for beta.televisionwitoutpity.com. If I hit reload everything goes fine. It happens at least once or twice a day. I am running FF 3 on Windows XP.

This only happens on 'content' pages (like the main page).

Using Windows XP, Firefox 3, when I get the big block o' cheese for the forums, and ONLY the forums, and move my mouse between links, the ad that got bumped down 'flashes'. I can see a flicker between the ad and the cheese. It only happens sometimes, though. The Super8 Ad, for example.

After a bit of work, here's an example: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=evAU5P7T9es

I also have the "jumping" when I mouse over a poster's name in the left column of any forum. The entire page flashes and jiggles. The weird part is that it doesn't happen with all of them, and I don't know what the pattern is in which poster names trigger it and which don't. A significant percentage do it, though.

I can't duplicate the flickeing but I'm on a Mac; I'll send it in with a link to that vid (thank you!). possibilities, are you using Windows as well?

raceguy -- Whoops, sorry. I have a guess as to what you mean but I'm not sure. Can you link to a post where you're seeing that (assuming you still are)?

I did send in the other stuff upthread as well. I'm hoping we can have some luck with mark as read next; the more sporadic problems are obviously harder to pin down.

I've seen it too, and I'm on Vista and Firefox 3.0.1. (I don't seem to see it in IE -- I got the Rogers My Home Advantage ad, which flickers on Firefox but not on IE.)

Confirm, Strega, it's a Windows/Firefox issue. Happens on Firefox 2 as well as 3, FWIW. I can't reproduce it on Mac/Firefox.

I'm having the same problem as Freckles101. Stuff that I've read is suddenly showing up as unread, as if there are new posts, but there aren't, it's just throwing me back a day or so. I've noticed it mostly on Project Runway. I'm on a PC, with Firefox.

I'm experiencing this with the Olympics subforums. PC with IE.

Status report: Weeds is fixed in the menu. I can't imagine why they haven't fixed the Olympics url in the forum header yet; I'll nag about that again. I saw the dark titles on the Olympics threads briefly but it hasn't recurred so if you see that again/still, let me know.

Are you Win/Firefox users still seeing getting flashes/flickers with menus and names? Ipstenu definitely gets a no-prize for that video capture, and I know they're investigating but since I can't replicate it myself, I'm sort of out of the loop. It seems like it may be some sort of java conflict so it could take a little time to resolve, but do nag if it's persisting (and let me know if you notice anything that might be a Vital Clue).

Two kinds of flickering menu just now:

Somewhere in a forum menu. iVillage Total Health ad. Ad flickered under the Forums yellow box menu when my cursor rolled over the space between menu items.

Brothers and Sisters show page. Menu items on the far right from Candid Reality Shows to Bugs & Info flickered when my cursor rolled over the space between menu items (including both flickering and non-flickering items). No flickering from the ad.

No pattern that I can detect.

The Last Post Info column on the TWoP Forums page used to be clickable, ie, clicking on a date in the column would take me to the post that had been made at that time. Has that been removed? Or is this a new problem?

TWoP Barnes, I just about ruined my keyboard with that rejoinder! If only!!

I've mentioned it here a few times and haven't gotten any answers. It's been annoying me for a few weeks now. Is this a permanent change?

I've seen the flickering (in fact, it just happened when I used the BBoC to get here) but more importantly, the new Sprint ad is delaying scrolling again. It's just like that old Toyota Corolla ad that had to play through. I can scroll if I use the scroll bar, but not if I try to use a mouse wheelie or my laptop touchpad.

I hate the Sprint ad.
