Ha! I was watching and I've come to the conclusion that I have outgrown hip hop. I didn't know who most of the performers were.

That said, I LOVED the Chris Lighty tribute. It warmed my heart to see QTip and Phife on stage together, although I suspect they haven't made up.

I thought the show was pretty good. They didn't have to bleep out like 3/4 of a song during the performances. Though I wish they had censored Rick Ross and his man boobs. I can appreciate someone his size feeling comfortable in their own skin, but for Pete's sake put a damn shirt on. Yikes!

I Ioved seeing Eve during one of the cyphers. I wish she'd come back with a hot album just to loosen up the strangle hold Nicki Minaj has on the female rap game.

And I agree the Chris Lighty tribute was great. Never heard of him before he died but he seemed to have a hand in a lot of successful careers so it was good to see everyone (Busta, Missy, Fat Joe, 50, etc.) come together to pay tribute. And the crowd was really into it which was great to see.

The Chris Lighty tribute was the best part of the show! Rick Ross feat. an overenthusiastic Omarion was like "WTF?!"

LOL @ Omarion dancing. That was so fantastically WTF!

Although I felt really old watching the show, I will keep watching every year just for the cyphers. I love them. BET should have a show just of cyphers.

Days late, but I saw it.

I think Mike Epps did a good job as host. However, the best part of the show to me is The Cypher. I loved every set, but the foreigners really impressed me. I like accents. I didn't know half the people nor did I know half the songs. I am getting old and some of today's hip hop sound like noise.

2 Chainz (formerly known as Titty Boi. Nope, didn't make that up) seems to be really popular, and not bad looking. At least he looks like a man. Yes, you Miguel! You are bogus for bringing back the Morris Day look! Not that it matters to me, but stop wondering why everyone thinks you're gay. Wearing hair like that, with skinny jeans and a blouse will start minds to inquire. Back to 2 Chainz, they love him. He's ok, nothing to write home about. He will be irrelevant by next year.

I love how during the West coast cypher segment, all the youngsters were standing, while the vets relaxed at the table. I haven't seen Kruupt in a long time, and Xzibit...oh and there's Dj Quik. I am so jealously of his hair. He wears the 70's pimp look very well. Snoop Dogg err Lion! I love Snoop, not his music so much these days.

When did Mystikal get out of jail?
DMX looks good, despite what he has been through.

Eve, please, for the love of Hip Hop make a cd, just one! Time to sit Nicki Minaj's ass down! Eve looks good, and unlike Nicki I don't think she's surgically enhanced.

Young Gambino won the cypher! I need to start checking him out. Never heard of him.

Move out the way Eminem, you aren't the only White rapper with a nice flow.

P. Diddy is looking more like Fluff Diddy these days.

My friend couldn't wait to tell me Missy was preggers. She's not pregnant, but I hear she's been sick. After hearing her with J. Cole on Nobody's Perfect, I hope her health gets better. She can join forces with Eve to get rid of Fakey Minaj.

Q-Tip looks good.

Did Busta turn last years fat into muscles?

And finally, Rick Ross. My God man, wear a shirt! There are children and old ladies watching! I'm fat, I accept it. However, I don't go around dressed inappropriately with my rolls of fat hanging out on display! I like Rick Ross (I am not a wine fan but still rozzzaaayyy!) I am concerned. He's not healthy, and he looks bigger. Put on a shirt man! When he loses weight, those tats are going to look messed up! Oh Ricky Ross, wear a shirt. Mainstream America will embrace you even more, but you can't be scaring kids, old ladies and White folks with your moobs (that's a word! I swear!)hanging out. I am completely turned OFF!

It's BET, I give it a 2 1/2 out of 5.
