"Destiny" - In the wake of last summer's events in the Hamptons and with the ante even higher, what will Emily's next move be? Will she be able to manage her heart and keep her emotions from getting in the way of her resolve to avenge her father? The Season Two premiere of "Revenge" airs on the series' new night and time, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

I love that Nolan and Emily are roommies who sit around in their jammies watching hidden camera footage.

The entire show I was saying "She's SO not dead". Was a fabulous season premiere for the most part; left wondering who the dude is that was backing up her mentor though. I'm completely unspoiled for the season so I didn't really get that.

Random thoughts:

Nolan!!!!!

I hope this show keeps them as roomies for as long as possible b/c that is pretty much a dream come true.

I think it was fairly obvious that Victoria wasn't dead, but good reveal. So the WHM & Vic had the plane blown? Does she still have the evidence? Are the higher-ups baking her as opposed to Conrad, or is the WHM off reservation? Did he tell her who Emily really is? So many cards being held to the chest here.

Also, Declan was way more palatable than Jack to me in this episode. Dare I say that I kinda liked him...strange.

That baby better not be Jacks.

It is obvious Ashley is having an affair with Conrad, right? Or is that just me?

I like this drunk version of Daniel, not the party boy-but a grim, cynical, all the time drinker.

Can't wait to find out more about Takeda's other revenge student. Also, how much do think he charges for revenge classes? And how many student can one possibly have for something like this? How does one market this service?

I know in the previews they make it seem like Ems is going to off Charlotte, but really she is probably just going to give her a filtered version of the truth or maybe the whole thing...pretty sure they would not have her kill a kid.

So happy this show is back.

I actually liked the premiere more than I thought I would. I liked it better than last season's finale. I'm not into the whole Japanese revenge angle, but the stuff in the Hamptons and with Victoria was great.

I can totally go for Nolan and Emily roomies all season long.

I too liked Declan in this one. The Jack/Amanda stuff bores me.

LOVE Emily and Nolan rooming together. Don't let him move out, they're awesome.

Poor Charlotte, being Conrad's pawn, I felt bad for her.. Glad it looks like Victoria comes out of hiding next episode.

I also want to know who Takeda's Aussie little helper is and why he wants to interfere with Emily.

It is obvious Ashley is having an affair with Conrad, right? Or is that just me?

I was picking up that vibe too which-- blech. A father AND son? Ew Ew Ew.

I love that they dropped "Victoria is alive" thing on us smack down the middle. I mean, not in the beginning, not in the end, in the middle. I was expecting her to show up the whole time but still caught me a tad by surprise.

Whose body do they find on the boat at the bottom of the sea "3 months from now"? My money is on Declan.

Love Emily and Nolan as roommates.

The white haired man knows who Emily is, right? Why doesn't he spill the beans again?

I liked that they didn't drag out the Victoria reveal. I think most people had a hunch, so i liked that they showed it right away, and I really liked that she and Charlotte have been communicating.

It is obvious Ashley is having an affair with Conrad, right

That hadn't crossed my mind actually, but I like it.

Also, count me abroad the Nolan/ Emily friendship train. I've always liked them together, but am glad that Emily is more willing to accept his help now, and that they're working more in tandem this season.

My money is on Takeda's other student.
I bet he is also the biological father Amanda's baby.
He probably banged Emily too.

If they recast Takeda I wish they'd at least had Emily call him by name so the audience knows for sure. Maybe it's a second Japanese mentor?

No, it's Takeda. Someone did say his name - either Emily or the other student, I forget who. But that's the only reason I knew it was him, just with a different actor.

Anyone else notice that the dead hand in the beginning was wearing a wedding band? I wonder if they want us to think that it's Jack and that he married Amanda. I really, really, really hope that's not the case. I might be in the minority here, but I love Jack.

Also, did anyone else notice that Amanda's hair switched sides between the party and going to see Victoria? It was over her right shoulder at the party, when Charlotte whispered in her ear, then it was over her left shoulder when Victoria opened the door. I assumed it was supposed to be the same day, but maybe not? And the hair wasn't just in a ponytail that could be swung over either shoulder - it was actually pinned and styled in one direction. I felt it odd, but I'm not sure if it really matters or if it's just a continuity error!

That was an interesting premiere. I thought it was pretty obvious that Victoria was alive, and liked that they revealed it mid-show.

My favorite part of the episode was Jack and Nolan's reunion. Loved that Jack gladly hugged him but then they had Nolan take it slightly too far by sniffing him. Their relationship is so cute and strange.

Thanks, I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention!

She'd changed her clothes, I just assumed she'd changed her hair, too. It looked a little less formal than the hair she had for the charity auction.

Noticed that Ashley was trying very hard to mimic Victoria. Thought it was funny when she was greeting guests at the memorial, one of them said "who was that"?

I know in the previews they make it seem like Ems is going to off Charlotte, but really she is probably just going to give her a filtered version of the truth or maybe the whole thing...pretty sure they would not have her kill a kid

I think Charlotte is safe to a degree no one else is just because she's Em's half sister. I was kind of surprised that Victoria/Em didn't team up under the pretense of helping Charlotte with each running their own game against the other simultaneously. That would have been delicious.

But they gave us Nolan and Emily as roomates and that is brilliant.

It was Takeda? I did not hear that name mentioned at all, maybe I just missed it. However, the characterization of Takeda then confused me. He was portrayed as a successful businessman with martial arts capability. Now Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa looks just like a stereotypical East Asian warrior, with no business flair at all.

I thought I missed something in season 1. I am glad that the "white Japanese" is a new character that is still mysterious.

Nolan seemed really evasive about his house being "in escrow" - I'm thinking that he's - somehow - out of money.

Definitely got the vibe that Ashley is sleeping with Conrad, especially when Daniel commented "she wouldn't cheat on me" and Conrad retorted "Really?" The two of them (Ashley/Conrad) deserve each other.

I'm not sure how they could have done it gracefully, but I would have loved some clarification that Takeda was recast, because I didn't get that until I got here (and then googled and found the article).

Overall though - loved the episode, so happy to have my show back! Hope the ratings do well.

Remember that it seemed as though Daniel was the one shot in last year's opening...and it turned out to be someone that we didn't even meet til a few episodes in... so it's possible the man on the boat is someone we haven't met yet. But I'm pretty sure that it's not Jack (that would be awful) and pretty sure that the WHM will have a longer lasting stay on this show than just this season. My money is on the mysterious student who is also probably Amanda's baby daddy. Although with this show, you just never really know what's what until it happens (and even then it's a little sketchy)

The show made a point of having Emily directly address the new mentor as Takeda, so I think that's all the clarification we're getting for now. I'm not sure if they've altered his backstory to fit his new appearance, or if this is just a new side of him. I'm not all that interested in the new guy either.

I'm really excited about Charlotte's storyline though. I don't think they'd have Emily deliberately hurt her, so I'm guessing the "taking away," is just turning Charlotte against Victoria, and possibly looping her into the Revenge plot or some portion of it, though with Charlotte's mental and drug issues that could easily backfire.

Daniel without Emily is pretty, but boring. I hope they give him something to do (besides Ashley) soon.

I am so glad this show is back. I love Ems and Nolan being roomies. They are the best together.

I knew Victoria was still alive so I am glad they didn't drag that out.

Jack and Amanda are boring. At least Daniel is a little more interesting this season.

I have to say, I thought the show was going to do the standard thing and have Victoria appear in the last 30 seconds. So her appearance mid-episode was a nice shock. As was learning that her daughter knew she was alive all the time.

Questions/comments:

1. Ok, why did Victoria insist on telling Charlotte, but not Daniel, about the fake death? Concern about Charlotte's drug use? Trying to boost Charlotte's confidence by showing that she trusted her daughter? Because, honestly, what with Charlotte's drug use last season she doesn't seem like the first person you would trust with something like this.

2. Please tell me that Emanda's house also has a spare bathroom, or I can see this new roommate situation declining quickly.

3. Ah, Conrad. Now THAT'S the way you get revenge on your wife's lover -- take over their daughter's trust fund with some false accusations of drug use. YAY!

4. I am thinking that tape under a bed is not the best way to hide a burner phone. As we saw. Also, Charlotte, if you are not in the room, TURN THE PHONE OFF to avoid things like that. (And when exactly did she charge it anyway?)

5. If Jack can't afford to fix the pipes to his bar, how can he afford a paternity test? THINK, Jack, THINK!

6. It's too much for me to hope that the dead arm in the water belongs to Declan, right? Sigh.

Daniel and Victoria had some sort of falling out last season. I don't remember really, but Daniel's too close Conrad.

Drug addict or not, I can see telling Charlotte Victoria is alive over Daniel. He's the one who falls for everyone's manipulations, pretty much without fail. Because of that he switches sides and opinions like Emily changes her hair. Coupled with the fact that right before Victoria 'died' he'd moved over to Daddy's side, I can see her not trusting him one iota with that information. She may love him but she neither trusts his judgment nor is she blind to his faults.

I missed that new guy is Takeda. I'd simply assumed he was another mentor.

I can hardly wait for Victoria to run into Ashley trying to be Queen. That should be delicious.

Didn't like new Takeda. I liked the air of sophistication the original brought to the role.

Can someone explain the timeline? I was really confused. Had Emanda been away for 8 weeks, then another 3 months in the future the body of whoever is in the water discovered by divers?

I actually thought Declan was a lot better this time around.

Daniel chose Conrad over her last season but, more than that, I think she was afraid her death would throw Charlotte into a tailspin she wouldn't recover from. It really would be unbelievably cruel to let someone in as fragile as state as Charlotte think her mother was dead. Of course, Victoria is capable of such cruelty to other people but not her own daughter.

I wish Emily would give up on getting revenge against Victoria for just a little while and focus on Conrad. By all means, come back to Victoria when it is all done. But they would be good temporary allies against a common foe. I am not going to compare and contrast the evil of Conrad and Victoria. There are lots of checks under both of them. But Conrad is certainly culpable in David's death, Victoria wants to take him down, she wants to reveal the whole ordeal. Why not focus on that?

Emanda took her a file about the shady drug treatment guy and Victoria turned round and ordered the WHM to kill her .How is Emanda supposed to ally herself with QV when she's doing that ??

The actress playing little Amanda in the flashbacks looks a lot like EAL's sister Alyvia.

This is what I assumed the timeline to be. Emanda was gone for 8 weeks (in Japan) which was from the time the plane crashed to the beginning of the Summer season. Also same amount of time that Charlotte has been in rehab, 60 days.

The first few minutes of the show is in the "future"- Labor Day weekend to be exact 3 months after the scene where Emanda is in the water in Japan.

I wasn't expecting them to show Victoria so fast. I was either expecting her at the end of the episode or at least hiding her from the rest of the characters for a little longer and maybe us just seeing her. Them throwing her in the middle of the episode threw me.

Can't wait to see how this season turns out!
