As if we didn't get enough of her in Braxton Family Values, now Tamar is trying to launch her solo career with hubby Vince [Herbert] as her manager. Will the two be able to balance marriage, luxury & the music industry without choking each other out? We'll see. "Tamar & Vince" premieres Thursday, September 20th at 10pm eastern (9pm central) on WE tv.

Anybody else watch this trainwreck last night? It was horrible. That was way too much Tamar for one show.

There's nothing new under Tamar's sun. She is still bugging Vince about the progress of her career, and driving all the producers crazy. If not for Vince, Tamar would be blacklisted out of the recording industry. I'm sure that no one wants to work with her. She is too much of a pain in the ass to deal with. One of the hooks on one of her albums is "Get Your Life." How ironically appropriate.

Tamar hired a personal assistant and insisted that he be a gay male. She took her new assistant to the store and made him try on dresses for her, claiming that it was too much work for her to try the dresses on herself.

Vince looks like he either wants to kill Tamar or jump out of a window. It could go either way. He clearly likes his dog Miracle way more than Tamar. So do I. Fortunately, they have a huge new house, which gives Vince plenty of places to hide from Tamar when he absolutely has to be home.

Is Tamar's 15 minutes up yet???

As I said last night on Twitter, this is just too much Tamar - she needs her sisters to balance out her over-the-topness. She stays doing too much and it really grates on your nerves after a very few minutes. You can really tell here how much she gets on Vince's nerves; he seems over her sometimes. I can't imagine what it must be like to live with that foolishness.

I really think 'her-she-me' really hurt Vince's feelings when they were doing the tour of the new house and she got up on stage and called him 'Overweight Lover'. He shut down after that and went upstairs. Tamar has no filter and doesn't know when to stop. And she stayed confused as to why Vince would get mad at her. Honey, learn what aggravates and irritates your husband and STOP doing those things. And - take the focus off yourself so much and put it on the husband who endures you and your foolishness and who provides you with that fabulous lifestyle you so obviously love to lord over everyone. Do better, Tamar.

The friend April was pretty cute; I'm surprised Tamar allowed her to be on the show. Well, since the husband is the producer/songwriter/whatever, HE is most likely who Tamar is friends with, so April is most likely on the show by default.

Oh yeah, I think that Damon guy, the producer in the studio, is Kim Kardashian's first husband. Bet he's glad he got away from that hot mess.

Unfortunately, I too viewed this train wreck of a show. I guess I wanted to see if Tamar would be different around Vince and others than she is with her sisters on BFV. That question was answered right away: NO. One thing did change for me - I no longer feel bad for Vince. Tamar has pretty much always been OTT and he knew that going into the marriage. After seeing how they are day to day, it's kind of hard for me to muster any sympathy for Vince when he knew full well what he was signing up for in marrying Tamar. By the end of the show, I was exasperated with both of them. Tamar's haranguing of Vince to produce her album and his whining about her antics will definitely not be enough to sustain my interest in this show for a full season!

The best part of the first episode to me was when they had their friends over for dinner. It was kind of interesting to see that MJB and her husband, Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell and others were in Vince and Tamar's circle of friends. As an aside - If these are the types of people that Tamar is regularly rubbing shoulders with, then it's now crystal clear to me why she and Traci aren't close. Their worlds are completely different, so how would they ever be able to relate to one another?

I agree! I watched for about 10 minutes, and thought "Too much Tamar." I can take her in small doses, but I can't make it through a whole show with her. I saw the part where she made the assistant try on clothes for her, and that was it. That was just ridiculous. I had to turn it off.

I wonder how long this show will last, because I suspect there are others that think this is too much Tamar.

Out of curiosity I broke down and watched Tamar and Vince and turned the channel after about 10 minutes. A little Tamar goes a long way for sure and this show proved it. I'm mad at myself for giving in to the curiosity and even watching a very few minutes of the show. I knew it would be too much and it was. Count me as one who will not watch next week or any other week.

I totally agree! Especially Mama Ev (and maybe even Toni should be there too) needs to be there to threaten to slap the p!$$ out of her.

Personally, I hope the other Braxton sisters stay away from this POS and let Tamar go down in flames alone on this one. This show makes "Basketball Wives" look like Masterpiece Theater. Frankly, I thinks Vince's dog is the most interesting thing about this show.

I did find the "To Do" lists to be rather telling. Tamar's album doesn't seem to be very high on Vince's list of priorities, and he seemed far more interested in the other singing acts that were featured on the show. Heh!

Tonight's rerun was my first taste of this show. O.M.G. I can't tell you guys how much I agree with the sentiment of "Too Much Tamar." Jeez, she's one annoying chick.

I used to watch Braxton Family Values, and think that Tamar just HAD to be -- really -- just had to be overdoing it for the show, for attention, for a storyline, for air time. God. She could not be real, could she?

But now I see I was wrong. Tamar is real, and she is megawatt, supercalifragilisticexpialodocious annoying! Like, to the nth degree.

All I can say is, thank you God that Tamar really doesn't want to be a mommy. Poor kid!

Vince, forget the idea of a baby. It's just a no-go for you, and so much better for any future little ones.

I agree with the sentiment of "Too Much Tamar". I only watched the whole episode because I decided not to quit halfway through. However, I don't think her sisters should be on the show, as there is already a show that features her and her sisters. What I did think was that we would see more of the supporting cast.

I like LaShawn Daniels and remember him from his work with Rodney Jerkins. He was fun to watch and I enjoyed his suggestion of "Soul Sushi". Didn't see much from his wife so no comment on her yet. But I would like to see more of them.

One key sticking point for me was what sounded like horrible music coming out of that studio. Someone should tell Tamar that the "R" in R&B does not stand for "ratchet". Lastly, I've heard music of the Underdogs, LaShawn and Vince before and did not understand anything they were working on with Tamar.

I will give this show one more viewing.

I caught a part of this show yesterday, and I stopped watching only because I was called away to dinner. I was seriously cringing at times, like when Tamar the peanut gallery chimed in during Vince's talking heads. (If there were ever a moment that called for Tamar having the pissed slapped out of her...) I did also see the personal assistant wannabe trying on clothes for Tamar. I can understand not wanting to try on clothes all the time, but I figure that since Tamar is so into shopping, she would jump at the chance of putting on her own fashion show. Plus, if she is going to have an assistant try on things for her, then she should

  • find a gay personal assistant who also likes to dress up in drag or
  • find a female personal assistant her size

I bet Tamar would be upset if the assistant looks good in the clothes because she would figure the assistant is stealing her thunder!

Expecting an assistant to be a mind-reader? Why not hire Towanda? LOL

Maybe Tamar should cut back on this show and focus on launching her solo career since that is what she really, really wants.

I agree that we should see more of the supporting cast, but Tamar is way too vain and insecure to share the spotlight with anybody else. And I'm not sure if Tamar realizes that she is wearing out her welcome and the audience might actually support the show beyond the first few episodes if she would just spread some of the camera face time around.

if she [Tamar] is going to have an assistant try on things for her, then she should

2.find a female personal assistant her size

Tamar would never hire a personal assistant unless she can find a woman her size who is also butt ugly. No one is going to outshine Tamar in her own show.

Wow ya'll some brave souls for tuning into this madness! I couldn't. Tamar is too much on the Braxtons and watching her BY HERSELF is.....I just can't do it! I still don't think that she will be nothing more than a reality TV star. I think if she had a different type of attitude along with a great work ethic then Vince could take her career to a whole new level which includes success. On the Braxtons show, when she was in the studio,I found her to be quiet rude and disrespectful to the producer she working with, I'm not sure what his name was but she claimed that he was trying to make her sound like "Michael Jackson" and she pretty much "read him his rights" ie told him off. Vince has stated more than once "you can't do things the way you want to them to because your my wife". She has to be treated like an artist. I wonder why is that so hard for her to understand? If she truly respects her husband's input and who is as a mogul in the music industry then she should have no problems doing exactly what is asked of her. I wonder how Vince's family feels about Tamar and why we don't see any of his family members (not his parents) on the show?

I watched this and yes, it is a lot of Tamar, but she still cracks me up.
I do have to admit though that she better be careful or someone will get "her" life. Vince was in tears, or very near tears, when she was teasing him about having babies once she becomes a singing star. That man is going to pull a Brad Pitt on her and leave her for someone who is willing to give him a family. I think it is sad that a family is really all Vince wants and Tamar can't slow down long enough to give him that. However, if she really, really doesn't want to be a mother, she should just be honest and tell him the truth so they can both move on with their lives.
Oh well, based on the endless promos it looks like there is going to be much drama, but I hope something actually happens. It seems as if whenever conflict comes up in this family, a lot of yelling happens, but nothing is ever resolved.

On a radio show they were on last week, Vince said that originally when they agreed to be with one another, they agreed that they didn't want children and that their family would just be them as a twosome. Then Vince had his blood clot issue last year and decided he wanted to start a family. IMO, Tamar's resistance to starting a family is understandable especially if they already agreed that they would be a childless family. It's been less than a year since they made a decision to expand the family.

However, I agree with you, if Tamar does not think a child is in her future, she should be real with Vince now, especially since time is of the essence.

Trina, Towanda and Traci might do it for the money, but other than that, they probably want nothing to do with this high-speed trainwreck. I hope Toni doesn't make an appearance, but if she does, that would be a clear sign that she is broke again.

As to Bibi's article link, if this show is struggling ratings-wise, things may not get better going forward, especially when you consider how some of the cable providers (like DISH) have dropped the WE channel. My cable provider offers WE, but only as some sort of an upgrade that I don't have, but I was always able to watch BFV through the ON DEMAND option. However, Tamar and Vince hasn't shown up on my ON DEMAND list, so I actually had to watch the first episode online. But seeing how awful this show is starting out, I don't know if I will bother searching for the show online next time.

I think it just pretty much saying that its not just Tamar that makes BFV what it is.... its all of them together and especially Toni. They wouldn't even be a blip on the radar if it wasn't for big sis Toni. I'll wait for next season of BFV. Tamar and Vince is a train wreck. Wonder if Tamar will decide to have a baby if her singing career doesn't happen and Tamar and Vince show doesn't make it?

The ratings for Tamar and Vince aren't that bad, especially for WEtv. As long as Tamar doesn't start making diva demands for a higher salary I imagine that they'll keep it, so I guess it's doomed.

I just caught a bit of a show. The one in the studio were Tamar is badgering Vince about cool and hot. Tamar is such a pill. I could never stand to be around her, and it's painful just to watch her presence torture everyone around her.

Tamar doesn't have to prove anything to me about her marriage, but all I see is a vain, shallow woman who married a rather unattractive blob of a man because of his financial status. I see an unattractive blob of a man who married Tamar she's was a hot babe and agreed to marry him.

They say their friendship is the foundation of their marriage, but I can't see any capacity for friendship in Tamar.

For comparison I look at NeNe and Gregg, NeNe and Kim, Kim and Kroy, Teresa and Joe Guidice, Teresa and Jacqueline. Regardless of where any of these relationships are now, or how many warts the individuals have shown, the connection between individuals was always evident. I get nothing between Tamar and Vince.

[I see an unattractive blob of a man who married Tamar she's was a hot babe and agreed to marry him. ]

I don't necessarily see Vince as being unattractive (it would def. help if he could close his mouth, tho), but as a wealthy, successful man, he surely could have gotten a much more attractive trophy wife than Tamar. Tamar definitely has personality, and I'm guessing before she became the rich music executive's wife, her personality was not nearly as brash and over the top as it is now. It's just hard for me to see what Vince found appealing enough about her to marry her - he could have done so much better. Probably could have had 2 or 3 kids by now, too. Oh wells...

But Lawd, can we talk about Tamar counting on her fingers when they were discussing the t-shirt sales - and still coming up with the wrong answer! Tamar, were you really on TV counting on your fingers? How dreadful!

The whole chef storyline is ridiculous. You mean to tell me, you guys hired a chef and you didn't specify what Vince's dietary needs are? In addition, you didn't realize that the chef didn't speak English well? I call BS on this one.

I really like Lashawn and April. They seem to be a really nice couple; Tamar and Vince should watch them and learn.

I hated Tamar's "Get Your Life" single right away. It is a big stinker, and Tamar sounds like Trina on the record. To Tamar's credit, she seemed to realize how awful the single was a few days later. Oddly, no one else in the studio seemed to share her opinion. But then again, maybe that's Vince's way of trying to end her recording career before it even gets started.

The whole chef storyline is ridiculous. You mean to tell me, you guys hired a chef and you didn't specify what Vince's dietary needs are? In addition, you didn't realize that the chef didn't speak English well? I call BS on this one.

The best part was when the chef finally "understood" Vince's special dietary needs and put Tamar on the same diet. Guess he didn't feel like cooking two separate dishes.

Tamar definitely has personality, and I'm guessing before she became the rich music executive's wife, her personality was not nearly as brash and over the top as it is now.

Tamar knows how to keep her mouth shut when she really wants to. She must have hidden her real personality from Vince until they got married.

This show suffers from the worst thing ever: It's BORING! I gave it a chance but I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to hang in. Nothing of any real interest has happened. Tamar's antics aren't even cute when diluted by her sisters. 100% unadulterated Tamar makes my head hurt. The truth is that she is just TOO DAMN OLD to be acting like this all the time. Her behavior is one of a 16-year-old who suddenly found herself rich and doesn't know how to act. Tamar is in her 30s. At this point, she should have outgrown the antics. And as for "Get Your Life" . . . come on. I couldn't believe that producer or whatever he was told her that the song is "new and fresh". No. It is neither new nor fresh. It sounds like every other piece of inane "music" on the radio . . . all about how she's rich and cute and you're not. Yeah, that's real original, Tay Tay.

And let the church say 'Amen'. This is Tamar's biggest problem, IMO. She keeps talking about dropping it like it's hot and her music career, and I keep thinking in what alternate universe is this going to happen? Tamar's time for that has passed - she's aged out. Please move on to something else. Even when they were playing the song for the producer's teen daughter and Tamar was dancing, she looked ridiculous. If she wants to sing, she should concentrate on lyrics and vocals, not dropping it like its hot.

That's the sad part. The kind of music Tamar wants to do is typically reserved for physically attractive singers with limited vocal skills. Tamar is annoying, but she actually has a good voice and she should select songs that highlight her considerable vocal ability. She's trying to be a club banger, but the technology is hiding her voice. She should strive to be more like Mariah Carey or what Whitney Houston was at the beginning of her career. She needs the kind of material where her voice will be front and center. And even if she is determined to be a club banger, she needs better material than that "Get Your Life" schlock she is trying to pass off as dance music. And for the record, the producer's teen daughter didn't seem that thrilled about Tamar's song. I think she was just being polite more than anything else.

Tamar is a ridiculous woman. Her behavior is so OTT it's hard to believe an adult behaves this way. She is in her thirties and I know teenage girls that are more mature than her. SMH

She can be funny at some moments but her being on 10,000 at all times is to much. If she were not married to Vince there is no way she would get a deal acting like that.

The part in the studio when she had her face scrunched up repeatedly saying "Uhuh Uhuh" about the song...WTF was that? She acts worse than a twelve year old. She needs to realize the music she wants to do is to young for her and as she likes to say "Have several seats!!!"

POINT.BLANK.AND THE PERIOD.

Tamar actually has a great voice. She needs to record songs that showcase that, not something that sounds like it should be performed by the OMG Girlz. Tamar is good friends with Tiny, so she should ask to join the group. Sadly, she/her would fit right in(maybe not..Tiny's daughter doesn't even act like Tamar).

I did find it funny when Vince went outside and was yelling "Are you ready for Tamar etc.." and then said "Do you hear anything?" I think Vince knows Tamar's album is going double-lead.

Wow, is anyone else thinking that doing this show wasn't the best idea for Tamar and Vince? It's really not doing either of them any favors. Tamar needs to learn when the shut the hell up, and Vince, oh boy, he is borderline abusive the way he talks to her. Next year will mark 25 years of marriage for me and my hubby, but I promise you, if he talked to me the way that Vince talks to Tamar? No sir, I ain't having it. I'm finding it hard to muster up sympathy for Tamar, though

I really can't decide if this is really Tamar's personality or if she is just putting on for the cameras. If she is putting on, that chick needs to be nominated for an Emmy or something because she is doing a hell of a job. My hubby came through and saw the car dealership scene and kept asking me how I could stand to watch her. All I could was shake my head, cause I don't know why I keep watching that fool.

OAN, I love Lashawn and April!

To be such a big guy, Vince truly has some bird legs! I don't know how those sticks support his weight...
