It was so cringeworthy.
It was way too positive and uplifting and all that bullshit.
And his wife, who was married not too long ago to Mark-Paul Goselaar, works on the show, too.
And he is dad to Zack Morris' kids. That's weird.

I haven't seen it yet, but I was very surprised at seeing that the promos were stressing the uplifting angle. Who is he trying to be, Oprah? It was way too positive and uplifting and all that bullshit.
It's kind of a shame if it's bad, but not snark-worthy bad. Then I might watch it.

If you want to do something different, why not resurrect "Rock'n'Roll Jeopardy"? At least THAT was entertaining!

I only saw his first show and about 10 minutes of yesterday. So his first guest was a young woman who has terminal cancer and is bald. Jeffs theme was. smile! be happy! live life to the fullest!, and he said hes going to periodically bring her back. Why, Jeff?
Then yesterday he had some guy who was an advertising exec and got fired at age 53. So now, several yrs later the guy says hes much happier cleaning bathrooms at Starbucks.
Please, go away, Jeff.

I saw the show with Matt Harding who started dancing with people around the world. It was interesting, but Jeff asked the wrong questions. So what else is new? I wanted to know how he communicated to 50 people in Russia, 100 people in France, people in Hong Kong, to dance with him. How about those ladies in beautiful costumes in Costa Rica? How did he approach them all? They dropped whatever they were doing to participate. There were so many fascinating people and countries. However, Jeff wanted to talk about why men are afraid to get up and dance. Well Jeff, Matt didn't have any trouble. Jeff focused on that question so he could grab several guys from the audience and ask them to dance around. He was going for the "audience participation" angle to make it seem like everyone was having fun. I thought it was awkward.
Here's Matt Harding dancing around the world.
Another segment I saw had Jeff Lewis, from Flipping Out, and another guy talking about how to ask your husband or boyfriend to "manscape" themselves. Some woman in the audience wanted to know how to talk to her boyfriend about it. The dialogue the 3 of them came up with was her asking her guy "if you clean yourself up down there, you'll have the best night of your life". It seemed more like a frat party getting out of hand. I changed the channel.

The sex toy woman said she tests 50 – 60 products a month. Not meaning to sound judgmental, but (to me) that would be similar to phone sex actress – i.e., a few days of that would get icky and tiresome.
I still find Jeff annoying, and he involves his wife a bit too much. Okay, you’re married and happy . . .fine. I also don’t care for the last few minutes of the show where Jeff sits around with the producers and discusses each day’s show.

One of the two guys had some good answers that he delivered in a decisive and entertaining way. They should bring him back, I think.
So that is a regular feature, huh? I didn't like it either.I also don’t care for the last few minutes of the show where Jeff sits around with the producers and discusses each day’s show.

I have never watched Survivor, so know little about Jeff, but I thought he was annoying as a host.

I had the show on in the background today and found the woman who lied on her resume to be interesting. But he kind of left her in the air . . .he didn’t ask how/what she’s doing now. It was “our next guest . . .”
I don’t care for the “adventure” bits where he offers a “challenge” which usually consists of an insecure women calling her boyfriend. to find out where she stands or telling bf she's moving on.

The first one I saw was an outgrowth of the Guys on the Couch's advice to a girl in the audience and it made sense, but the theme of the "adventure" has been, as you said, repetitive.I don’t care for the “adventure” bits where he offers a “challenge” which usually consists of an insecure women calling her boyfriend. to find out where she stands or telling bf she's moving on.
Although I didn't catch them, the earlier segments on one show I watched looked interesting too, so if I'm looking for something to watch at that time, I might check out more episodes of this show.
But I wish everyone would stop trying to be Oprah.

Granted, the questions came from younger women, but good or bad, some perspectives and advice are timeless, and Jeff is under the impression that anyone who doesn't think "progressively" as he does isn't with the times or something. Like the "Girl who wants to say I love you first" question. I'm not sure there is a clear cut answer there, but I also thought Jeff might have been setting that girl up to get her feelings hurt.
I thought it was hilarious when Jeff insisted on the younger guy for the "Girl who likes to drink" question, because Mike and the other guy were old fogies who clearly were out of touch about liberated women, and the younger guy basically validated what Mike in particular said.
I gave this show a chance because some of the segments were interesting, but when I'm mentally wishing for Jeff to STFU and let others talk, it's probably best for me not to tune in.

With all due respect to Dancin Queen, Jeff, please don't do this! : ) There are (too many IMO) celebs talking and selling their stuff everywhere. Regular guys giving advice is a novel idea, and so far, I've liked the instances I saw, and it's what's different and interesting about this show. Even celebs doing "guys on the couch" would often have them saying the answers they think best fit/market their image, I think. Now if you could do all your shows with celebs, and then put them back "on the couch" with you later for audience Q & A, I might start watching regularly. Think about it, ok?

Caught the tail end of Judge Judy today, and IMO, Jeff is best at reading people and asking in-depth questions. He also doesn't run them off the stage.

Jeff said his producers found the book, which just lists a bunch of questions.

The segment was about people who have gone thru tough times (job loss, etc.) and had to make adjustments. One family had to get rid of their car and for a long time bicycles have been their mode of transportation. They sometimes get a ride from friends, but mostly ride bicycles. The mother went on about how they’re known as the Bicycle Family, and if someone would give them a car she’s not sure they would want it.
So Jeff surprised them with – new bicycles. Okay, that was nice. But I think the show could have given them a car. No, not a fancy car, but damn . . . To me that was like someone getting their electricity turned off for nonpayment, reading by candlelight, then giving them - new candles!
A friend/relative offering them a used car is a lot different than being given one by a TV show. I think the Jeff Probst show could have done better.
Also saw Marissa Jaret Winokur on the show; she's lost 60 lbs. I Haven't seen much of her since she was on "Dancing with the Stars". I found her annoying then, but gawd, she is even more hyper - actually manic. Ugh.
