If this needs to be in a different category, please, mods, feel free to move this where it needs to be, but I wanted to open a thread to start the discussion.

I've never watched Seinfeld so I don't know, but I can't believe that they beat out Lucy and Ethel for number one :(

Laverne and Shirley were too low, the SNL guys were too high, it made me happy that Chandler and Joey were in the top five :)

I was in a quiet diner with Mr. Stud when this came out, and I actually shrieked 'You've got to be fuckin' kidding me!' Mr. Stud just laughed and laughed, as he knows my Lucy love and couldn't believe I was so upset.

Co-sign to the low Laverne and Shirley they should have been in the top five along with Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton, not Alice.

At least someone replied and watched this :)

Was Seinfeld really that great of a show?

I was shocked that JD and Turk from Scrubs didn't make the list. I thought Jerry and George getting #1 was odd.

I thought so. But Jerry and George #1?! No way! Definitely should have been Lucy and Ethel, which is why my reaction was very similar to vixenstud's, haha.

I don't much care for I Love Lucy, and I absolutely love Seinfeld, but I could never with a straight face rank Jerry and George above Lucy and Ethel on a list of dynamic TV duos. I was surprised to read the Paley Center was presenting this, but then I saw the results themselves came from a Nielsen poll.

I didn't see this program, and can only find an alphabetical list online. Does anyone remember where my personal favorite duo, Mulder and Scully, ranked?

The thing with Seinfeld is that it wasn't a dynamic duo, it was a solid quartet in a way few other shows were.

So true. You could either pair up Ellen and Jerry or George and Jerry. Jerry and Newman. etc...
