Some astute commenters on this board previously pointed out that Walt's profits from the meth business would be so high that it would be impossible to launder all the money, which is exactly what Skyler pointed out when she was showing Walt the money pile. I assumed that that in part informed Walt's decision. Also, if the cancer's back, maybe Walt wanted to spend his remaining time repairing his family, as Marie put it, rather than earning more money than he could ever spend.I was very surprised that Walt made the decision to get out. So close.
