For those who've been asking. Here's a place just for the Texas Storage Wars.

Is Lesa and Jerry not on the show anymore?

Apparently not. They got Mary (that friend/acquaintance of Moe's) and some other woman to replace them.

Too bad. While I wasn't the biggest fan of Lesa, I did like Jerry's snarky comments he'd make about her purchases.

I think the new season begins this Tuesday, right?

I gave it a try. Don't like it as much as original SW but am disappointed that Lesa and Jerry are not on it any longer.

OMG re: the new girls. Not since my days of watching Hildi on "Trading Spaces" have I seen such ugly amateur craftwork being passed off as something someone would actually want in their home. They took ugly pieces and made them... hideous.

Watched my first full episode of SW: Texas last night.

So yeah, I'm not what you would call a modern art connoisseur or expert, so I just can't see any of the artsy-crafty pieces selling. Mary is, however, a total cutie-bucket. Also digging Jenny. Oh, I DO hope Brandi won't get jealous.

You realize, of course, that there will likely be a showdown between Texas and the Los Angeles people...It'll be like Road Rules and Real World slugging it out...no, no...better not curse it.

Didn't anyone miss "Jewwy" and "Miss Lisa". I didn't really. It will take a bit, I don't care for the repurposing that either young woman did, got a kick out of Blom telling Mary what he really thought of her creations. And enjoyed Jenny's put downs of Mr Slick. Ricky & Bubba crack me up with their comments on the anatomical posters - "more that a Christian man out to know." Overall I'd give it about B-.

I miss Jerry and Lesa, but the show will continue without them. The Rangers and Moe are more important to the show.

Got whiplash about Jenny. Liked her on the first episode (Vic does a great job playing the villain role), and she does fill a niche the other buyers don't usually fill. But I really didn't like her comments about Mary on the second episode- sounded like Jenny was trying out for for the "Real Housewive of Storage Wars" there.

Didn't really LIKE any of the upscales, but the prices were a lot more reasonable than the ones on the original Storage Wars.

I had stopped watching because I couldn't take one more second of Idiot Lesa, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a preview last week without her in it. (Does anyone know if she's still in business? My husband and I figure she went belly up, since she seemed to have no business sense) I'm back in, as long as Ricky and Bubba continue to entertain. I love those guys.

And new blonde lady? You seem sweet, but $180 for a child's folding table and chairs that you painted and reupholstered? Are you nucking futs? I'm not remotely handy, but I could do the same and have about $30-$40 and a few hours invested.

Loved Mary's brother. He voiced everything I've been saying in my living room when she's on. Most of her creations are hideous.

The stated purpose of the two new women on the show is ridiculous. If you're looking for junk furniture to "remake", why on earth would you spend hundreds of dollars a pop on storage auctions when there is cheap (as in next to nothing or free) furniture galore on Craigslist, local estate auctions, the trash, etc.?

Storage lockers aren't a bad place to get items to fix up because most of the bidders aren't looking for junk, but Mary and Jenny are also there to gamble just as much as Darrell does. If they weren't, they'd be sticking to the cheap lockers, rather than battling it out for items with obvious value.

The announcer needs more practice saying Victor's last name.

And while we're at it, let's not forget to count those hours. Pretend she didn't lose x hundred dollars abandoning and then paying cleanup charges on the termite unit. She still had to spend a full normal person's work week fixing up all that crap, plus materials. No way can she make any money in the end. High school art class girl didn't do much better. Why didn't she just clean up the mirror and then not bedazzle it with used denim?

I've watched a few episodes of this on demand. I think it's quite fun, and not quite so mean-spirited as the original flavor.

The episode with the termites made me laugh for all the times Victor kept hitting on Jenny, and the many different ways she shut him down.

I don't care for Jenny. Her voice is very annoying and I can't understand some of what she says. She also seems very cold, which seemed to be why that toaster guy kept jabbing at her.

Mary is OK but if she is an attempt to make Moe less creepy it's only partially successful. I get a little tired of her "senior" jokes.

My official name for the Mary and Moe team is "Wife Material and Future Sugar Daddy-In-Law."

I dig Jenny, but she does indeed come off as a little chilly...net worth in six figures just the same.

I must say that even though I miss Jerry (and to a lesser degree Lesa) Ricky & Bubba are cracking me up with their comments. When Bubba said "Jenny " like Forrest Gump my SO & I died laughing.

In fact, I think I'm beginning to like SW: Texas much more than all the mess going on in the original show--except Barry of course. However, I'm not exactly sure if I appreciate the refurbs the gals are doing with their finds. I'm surprised those things sell. It's not my taste I suppose.

I like Moe, and hope that he is a genuinely nice guy.

That's why the exchange with the artificial leg was startling--

Shop Owner: This is a genuine artificial leg. They usually have a bolt at the ankle, so that the foot can flex slightly. This is all one piece so it is from the 1800's.

Moe: Okay

Shop Owner: I'd say from the Civil War. Probably worn by a Civil War Veteran. He probably was injured during the war and he lost his leg. He may have had it amputated. It's very sad. A lot of people lost limbs. Especially in the South. Its very sad.

Moe: Uh-huh. What's it worth?

That flippant reaction was so startling that it took me out of the scene. I'm sure that's not the real Moe. I'm suprised the editors didn't take that out.

I do think that Victor is a much better villain than Dave. Victor, god bless him, is willing to play his character like Wiley E Coyote, whereas Dave is just a egotistical jackass.

And I still haven't been able to decide whether Mary is darned attractive or not.

Eh I'm not a fan of Jenny. I don't mind the addition of Mary as she and Moe are fairly amusing but why add someone else who is doing the same thing as Mary. Oh wait, pretty blonde for Victor to ogle...never mind. Still I miss Lesa and Jerry.

Ricky and Bubba still do crack me up. Their reaction to Jenny's "someone married him!" in her first episode is priceless.

I just can't hate Victor, and at times find him amusing. Whereas Dave makes me want to hurl things at my television. One big difference is that Victor will admit a loss on a locker, or when someone else gets the better of him. Dave just can't do it, and randomly assigns dollar values to heaps of junk rather than admit that he got caught bidding a locker up, or made a bad call.

ITA about preferring Victor vs Dave. I think I like Walt better than Dan too. Walt isn't out to impress anybody when he's talking fast for the auctions, so he doesn't mash his words or stumble like Dan.

Speaking of people's taste:

And I still haven't been able to decide whether Mary is darned attractive or not.

Mrbfd, I think Mary is darned attractive because with her, she is what she is without the facade of designer clothes, an expensive car, or fancy makeup. The ability to just be right out there like that is VERY attractive to me.

I like Victor. I even kind of have a tiny crush on him, or more, as Kmusky puts it, the "bad guy" persona he is so obviously playing to. It kind of reminds me of the questionable bad-guy charms of (in commercials) Keith Stone of Keystone beer and that leather-jacketed guy who travels around giving people money for Progressive insurance (I was a sheltered goody-goody in the 1970s--why do you ask?) (Yes, I'm aware I need help!). But I also liked him when he actually took that swimmy-jet-ski thing into the water and swam (rode?) around on it, even though that was not very villainous of him.

That mom-of-motorcycle-guy was scary. I'm not entirely sure she didn't want Victor killed!

Ricky and Bubba and their silly jokes, scripted or not, are just a delight, usually. The jokes and background music around the African sculpture were a little bothersome, though (I only saw half the episode, but what I saw was more than enough--pretend? fear of voodoo, etc.)

I hate what Mary makes, but there's something charming about her and Moe together.

I agree: Mary and Moe are charming together.

Motorcycle Man's Mama (aka Ms. Chain-smoker voice) was on another reality show. I think it was about owning/running a restaurant. Can't think of the name of it.

Did the whole dang town of Ponder come out to the auction? Nothing else going on in their town?

I think they both know they're not actors so they don't try, and when they play to the cameras it's for corny fun.
