The clothiers spin out designs for the Emmy Awards, with former contestants returning to serve as their clients.

I thought I'd get this started.

For a show that has/has had Piperlime/Macy's/Lord and Taylor accessory walls and L'Oreal hair and make up rooms, this product placement was ridiculous and totally just shoehorned into the episode. It was another typical "design a pretty dress" challenge, but this time it had to be inspired by a car. *eye roll*

I have to say, I felt for Christopher. A few months ago, one of my coworkers screwed up something kind of badly and I had to fix it, while she just laughed about it. It wasn't a huge deal, but she shouldn't have laughed about, especially since her screw up was affecting other people. Same with Andrea. It's one thing to laugh about a mistake if it only affects you, but another if it affects someone else.

Elena is awful. She can leave anytime now.

Ven is an even more boring Rami, but at least this week's dress didn't have rose detailing.

Did not enjoy seeing Kenley, April, Irina, or Anya, but LOVED seeing Laura.

I don't know what the episode title really is so I made one up. Too bad the guy from my hometown was eliminated, but it was a toss-up between him and Alicia. I thought Andrea should have been eliminated. I liked her before this episode, but she really bugged me. I felt for Christopher. Then Andrea disappears... If she was going to leave, why didn't she just volunteer to leave from the runway and let Raoul stay? I thought Sonjia and Nathan's dress was better than Gunnar and Kooan's. I'm glad Gunnar didn't win, just because... He was toned down this episode. I want to cheer for Elena because she is Ukrainian and I spent three weeks there, but whiner and undeserved sense of superiority.

Likes so far: Snape (Dimitry), Venn, Fabio, Christopher, Sonjia, Nathan

Neutral or faintly like: Kooan, Buffi, Alicia, Melissa

Dislike: Gunnar, Andrea

Glad to see Irina is still a raging bitch. And yes, I adored Sonjia and Nathan's dress - it was fabulous, and Valerie totally rocked it.

I wasn't wild about any of the dresses. I liked Ven's structured draping, but I'm not the biggest fan of that silhouette. I would have put April's dress in the top rather than Irina's.

It looked like the Guest Judge was trying not to laugh at Christopher and Andrea's tag-team meltdown.

Anya looked like they shoved a wad of left-over scraps down her front.

Valerie is still adorable.

Of course Irina was difficult, but Gunnar and Kooan deserved it for being bitchy (Gunnar) and apathetic and submissive (Kooan). I can’t believe that dress was in the top, but whatever. I’m just glad Gunnar didn’t win.

Mila looked miserable. I feel bad that Raul and Alicia got stuck with her, and I say this as someone who generally likes Mila. Why they didn't do a menswear inspired piece in some kind of large check or tweed is beyond me. Mila is probably the only one of the returning designers who would have allowed that. Anyway, I'm glad Alicia is the one who's staying but I really hated how the judges grilled them about which one should go home.

Elena would be impossible to work with. She’s lucky she worked with someone who doesn’t like conflict, otherwise she might have ended up on the floor all bloody and unconscious.

I wonder why Ven and Fabio didn’t make Kenley’s dress full length. It didn’t look like an awards show evening gown and did indeed look like a church dress. Kenley looked good in it, though, and she clearly loved the dress.

Christopher, Dmitry, and Melissa continue to be my favorites. Andrea the lying liar who lies can just go away. Can’t believe she denied laughing and saying that it would be a relief to go home. I wish she would have been sent packing instead of Raul, especially since she ended up running away in the middle of the night anyway!

Its "Welcome Back (or not) to the Runway"

Anyway, let me first give props to Elena for her ever changing hairstyle confessionals.

Second, Irina just can't help herself to throw shit on people's outfits on the runway. "The sewing could have been better". At least she's consistent.

Fabio is so laid back. And is rocking the Fiddler on the Roof look at judging.

Ven's head doesn't need anymore expansion.

Kenley. Use your inside voice.

I love everything about Buffi except for her fashion. Go figure. I'm happy she's on the show.

I loved the silver dress that Dmitry and Melissa (??) designed for April. That was an achievement. Also enjoyed seeing Valerie so happy in her gold gown. Kooan and Gunnar's dress was nothing *new*. Top 2, for real?

I liked this episode but I usually like the team challenges. I'm glad Ven's dress won. Kenley just adored it and you could tell it in her whole body language. I also liked the white dress but the client (can't think of the name) really didn't seem to like it at all. She seemed uncomfortable the whole time she was standing there during judging and I'm not sure why. The dress looked great on her. Although I didn't care for the losing black dress, I kind of liked Anya's dress, but I guess I'm not "fashion forward". Looking forward to next week.

To me this feels like a dream come true. (This is Ven's excited face.)

Christopher couldn't have handled having a psycho partner better. Elena isn't a psycho...she's just a bitch who thinks that having lived in Ukraine gives her a pass.

I was really rooting for Andrea at first, just as I rooted for Wendy Pepper at the beginning of season 1. When will I learn?

But all of Andrea's designs have been atrocious, and her flaky, clueless attitude is incredibly annoying. I'm assuming the judges are being deferential because she's a design instructor. I guess it's true: Those who can, do; those who can't, teach.

BTW, I'm thrilled that Gunnar didn't win. He's the saccharin-coated version of Orange Josh. Ugh!

Fabio and I are going to elope. I just love him that much.

Anyway, i still have a soft spot in my heart for Andrea, but I really felt for Christopher. I know exactly what he was saying. It's like, you wanna really light a fire under Andrea's butt, but you can't really do too much without looking like the dick who bullied an old woman on national TV. Poor thing.

I don't doubt that there are many tough, hustling Ukrainians, but why does Elena actually think she's one of them? She's just a cranky bitch who wants her way and then whines and becomes emotional when it doesn't happen. What a big baby.

Wow! So much happened in this episode. First of all, I hate team challenges because it always produces conflicts and hurt feelings. Kenley -Nooo! That dress looked like church lady. Nowhere near dressy enough for the Emmys. Ven designs for ladies who lunch and Kenly fits his profile perfectly. She has some kind of problem with body image. Did you see what she was wearing at the beginning of the show? She dresses like a 12 year old and designs the same way. I have never seen her in anything lowcut, bare shoulders etc. Andrea - so she finally leaves by sneaking off in the night. She so should have been eliminated. What a mess. I'd love to know where she ever taught fashion. Poor Chris. And the losing pair. Good for them for refusing to throw one another under the bus.How did the judges choose? Good to know that Irina is still a bitch,April still looks like a fool, and Kenley is still a loudmouth.

Oh, me too. And how cute was it that he seemed genuinely happy to be partnered with Melissa? Maybe it's just me, but they made a good team and seemed to work the best together.

And yeah, Buffi seems super cool. I'd want to keep her around for fun even when she's eliminated.

As much as I dislike Gunnar, even he didn't deserve how bitchy Irina was to him and Kooan.

Andrea's still in. Kooan's still in. Can we just fast-forward a couple weeks?

Christopher seems like a real sweetheart -- no small feat after eviscerating his partner during judging, but she really deserved it.

I thought Kenley's dress had serious construction problems. Some of those pleats were randomly tacked down...by a blind person with a staple gun.

Valerie's dress seemed like the clear winner to me.

Also what is with Gunnar's hiking boots and shorts? Is he a Trapp family singer? Fabio reminds me a little bit of Santino - the whiskers and deep voice. What I like about Kenley's dress is that it stayed in her aesthetic but had some original design in the bodice. I know Kenley likes circle skirts but I think this dress would have looked better with more of a pencil skirt cut. It would have looked more elegant. Full-length would have been gorgeous.

I loved Kenley's dress: vintage, understated & elegant.
Ven, who is not exactly Mr Personality, deserved the win.

I thought for sure that Aprils slinky silver number would be in the Top 2. That dress was gorgeous.

Mila's dress looked home sewn & boring.
Do not bore Nina!

My spidey sense tells me that Andrea is the designer who leaves the show.
She is making it hard for me to root for her. She must teach Fashion History because she sure as hell doesn't teach Sewing/Construction.

Elena can go home. Preferably sooner than later.

Valerie's dress seemed like the clear winner to me.

Me too--Nathan and Sonjie did a great job on it, and she clearly was thrilled with it. I was shocked that they didn't even make top 2. And the same with Dmitry and Melissa's silver dress. For me, those two designs were heads above the others.

I liked what Ven and Fabio did with Kenley's dress, but it seemed much more "Kenley" than Ven and Fabio, and I thought the front of the skirt looked off--like someone had just randomly tacked down a few big pleats or something. The bodice, however, was great.

No way did that white horror belong in the top two--it looked like a badly designed wedding dress, it did NOT fit Irina right, and that flowing chiffon or whatever from the back of the neck was dated and awful. I actually prefered Buffi and Elena's dress for Laura, which had some drama and looked good on her. And if I'd have been Buffi, Elena would have gotten an iron upside the head for being a drama queen.

Poor Christopher. He was so clearly embarrassed and horrified by that awful dress, and by Andrea's lackadaisical attitude toward the whole thing. I'm glad he escaped. But oy, that bodice was 14 kinds of wrong.

Raul and Alicia had the one client they could have gotten away with doing something menswear-inspired for so naturally they tried and failed to make a girly evening gown. And I'm not sure why Mila hated that black and red print so much--prints are big on the red carpet right now, and it was dramatic. Their design wasn't, but a good print might have helped them out. But plain black just highlighted every flaw.
