Tonight's motto: "All in one pan"
Dana, please stop yelling.

Does Dana usually yell in her TH's? There was a lot of that going on in her confessionals tonight.

If Clemenza wins this restaurant, I'm going to think that Gordon has been hitting the Gordon's (gin)

And it's so nice to have Ramsey recognize Barbie. At least Dana and Christina can't put her up tonight.

Justin told her to hold the sauces in the oven
I had to replay it a few times to make it out, but yes, that's what he said. No one else said anything about that, so Robyn is lying out her rear saying "they ALL told me!!" I can't stand her.
I was watching GMA this morning and they kept replaying Bruce Springsteen and Van Zandt singing "Glory Days" and all I could see was Robyn beside Springsteen, wearing a bandana.
Yes, Dana yells. She's done it all season long. I have noticed it many times, but tonight she was on decibel overdrive.
Barbie kicked butt, Brian didn't stand a chance once she was brought over to take care of his station.

Risotto continues to be the hardest thing in the world to cook. It's a Ramsay rage trigger. Do they not know this by now?
Nobody won the challenge. New but not surprising. This crop of characters (it would be insulting to chefs everywhere to call them contestants) seem to have been picked for their high ratings on a drama queen scale.
So the nomination comes down to nice guy who had a bad night versus evil bitch everyone hates and wants to get rid of. Gee, I wonder who Ramsay is going to pick to stay?

And I noticed that Dana and Christine were supportive and Christine was all "come on Barbie!" with a smile and hugged her before they were presented with black jackets. So racist! I also notice the drama on Red was dramatically overplayed in the commercials.
At least Robyn has the self awareness to call herself a crazy bitch.

Yes she does since the very beginning. It was annoying at first but it has become unintentionally hilarious for me. She's liked drugged out.Does Dana usually yell in her TH's? There was a lot of that going on in her confessionals tonight.
Sad that Brian is gone. He really had no chance to win anyway but I like him the most among the personalities in that kitchen.

Very, very disappointing eliminations today for both Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef.

Dana: "Ahhhh! We make hell's kitchen history because we suck! Again!"
Sous Chef: "There, there chef. It's not so bad."
GR: "But it is! They're awful and they're getting worse. And it's my fault. I chose them. But I added too many rejects in the mix to spice things up. And now the bad ones seem to have infected the good ones. This used to be about the skill and leadership. Now it's a freak show! What horror have I created?"
Clemenza: "Robyn will you please wait with hose til I'm done cleaning the inside of the vehicle!"
Robyn: "No way! move it! I've got a car to wash!"
Brian: "Please spray him down. And if there's another layer of grease and sweat under the first one then spray him again!"
Robyn: "They set me up! They told me to put the spinach in the oven to keep it warm! They told me!"
GR: "Did you tell her that?"
Justin: "No way, chef! I would never tell her to reheat the same food. It should have been fresh!"
Robyn: "liar!"
GR: "My god! I'll-trained monkeys could do better than this! And watching them fight they sound like monkeys. Enough get back to work! Where's the fish?"
Justin: "Right here, chef!"
GR: "You just recooked the same fish from before! I... Good Lord! A chill just went down my spine. Is it possible that Robyn for once wasn't crazy but actually telling the truth about you?"
Barbie: "Can I help?"
Christina: "I don't need your help!"
Barbie: "I'll help you."
Christina: "I don't want your help!"
Barbie: "Here I'm helping you."
Christina: "Leave me alone. Stay away from my station!"
GR: "Christina you burnt the risotto!"
Barbie: "Oh dear, how did that happen? Perhaps she should have been paying more attention. I wonder what distracted her. I did offer to help"
GR: "Are you aware that the red team just finished their service and you have yet to finish the first entre?"
Brian: "Here's the meat, chef!"
GR: "It's raw again!"
Brian: "Idiot! Idiot!"
GR: "Don't you dare insult yourself! Don't you dare try to steal the one solace I have when faced with utter incompetence! I'll insult you! I'd kick you out but that fate is too kind! You will stand there and watch as Barbie finishes your meat station! Barbie!"
Brian: "No, not that!!!"
GR: "Red team. You managed to finish service and totally embarrass the Blue team. I'm just glad that I can finally declare a team, any team, a winner. Here are your black jackets! Blue team you were competing for the black and you still managed to fail horribly. Because I'm bound by contract to produce a certain number of television episodes some of you will have to be given black jackets. But know that I've spit in all of them. Now pick two for elimination."
Robyn: "You are liars! You set me up to fail again! It's all your fault, Justin and Brian."
Justin: "You're crazy!"
Clemenza: "Well we're all agreed that Robyn should go up as well as be kept away from sharp objects. And next I think Brian is the obvious choice."
Brian and Justin: "Clemenza."
Clemenza: "Are you mental? Brian got replaced by Barbie. If we fail to choose Brian, Ramsay simply going to call us idiots and pull him up anyway!"
Brian: "We remain convinced that there is a definite chance that our ridiculously poor performance has melted the part of Ramsay's brain that remembers that he can do that."
Clemenza: "I refuse to partake in this insanity. You're almost as delusional as Robyn!"
Robyn: "I'm not delusional! See the proof! Brian and Justin are out to destroy us. And then they plan to cook and eat us!"
Brian: "I'm terrified beyond rational thought."
Clemenza: "Robyn, of course. But we were split on the final choice."
GR: "How is that possible? Did you ignore the effigy of Brian I hung outside and beat with a bat while yelling 'Do you think that's funny?'"
Robyn: "It's a conspiracy!"
GR: "Everyone step forward! Well first I'll give jackets to Justin and Clemenza. Clemenza actually did the best in the service outperforming even Justin. Don't get jolly, fat boy. The health department still won't let me choose you as winner. And Justin was supposed to be a finalist though he's seriously making me consider Dana or Barbie. Which leaves Robyn and Brian. I gotta go with giving the jacket to Robyn. Putting her and Barbie back on the same team is just too delicious to pass up. Besides I feel the need to hurt Justin and therefore the bromance must die!"

Seriously, she is blaming other people for telling her how to cook wrong. Isn't the whole point is that you're supposed to know how to cook without asking other people how to do it? Why hasn't any of the blue team picked up on this? Maybe Dana needs to TELL HER HOW TO COOK.

If Barbie wins this show, this was the episode that showed why. Wellington and Steak has destroyed many a chef in this kitchen. Doing that station perfectly for both teams moved her from pretender to contender. Also, being willing to help out on other station for big orders showed some good leadership. This is the time to be a team player and she timed it well. Robyn and clemenza are out next in some order.

I noticed the amount of food that he had to carry away when Barbie took over his station.
That made me ill. All those beef Wellingtons being tossed. So much waste.
I noticed Ramsay closely watching Justin when he got some fire under his butt and got them reorganized. Also, watching the girls the same way. He's starting to make his final picks.

The thing is, the wellingtons that GR pronounced "OVERCOOKED!" looked great on my TV. I am still at a loss as to how a chef is supposed to cook beef wellington to an exact degree of done-ness, when you can't tell until you cut it open? Barbie was called over to "show him how it's done", but what did she do besides put the wellingtons in the oven and pull them out at the right moment?
Even if the wellingtons are very slightly over-cooked, why put them in the trash? I'd be tempted to just put them aside for the chefs, waitstaff, etc, for after dinner service is over. (kind of like when I bake cookies and put aside the burnt/broken ones for myself)

I think you misunderstand how racism works. Your every action doesn't have to be disgustingly negative and disrespectful in order to be considered a racist. Sharing a room, saying "come on" in an encouraging way, or even hugging someone (let's not forget that all this hugging happened at the black jacket moment when they were too ecstatic to see straight, so they get no points for that) does not mean that you haven't committed acts of racism against that person. Most racists generally have the good sense to not appear racist in front of their boss, so yes, they hugged Barbie at the black jacket moment and they made encouraging remarks when Ramsey was around.
Society has this idea of racists as being loathsome, contemptible degenerates that have no redeemable qualities and horrible personalities, so we are unwilling to call out someone as racist if they are remotely likeable. Racists are people too and most of them have otherwise decent personalities. I understand that most people like Christina/Dana, thus are unwilling to call them out as racists. Throughout this entire season, we clearly see Barbie being pushed away. In the big alliances battle, Barbie was not on anyone's alliance. When they are sitting on the couch smoking, Barbie is always pushed off to the side witnessing, not participating, in the conversations. Barbie was being ostracized and it takes a whole group effort (including Christina and Dana) to ostracize someone. Christina/Dana contributed to the ostracizing, intimidation, scapegoating and bullying of Barbie, even if they took breaks between their racist behavior to either celebrate their black jacket moment or eliminate a cancer from their team (Robyn was a target for a few episodes).
The case against Christina/Dana all along has been their silence (sometimes snickering) surrounding the mistreatment of Barbie and their scapegoating of Barbie that has no other explanation except Barbie's race. Their expressions of racism depend on having someone else there doing the work of physically intimidating and harassing Barbie. Today's episode had K/T/R all off the red team, so Christina/Dana didn't have anyone to do this dirty work.
Barbie kicked butt, Brian didn't stand a chance once she was brought over to take care of his station.
I was both excited and sad to see Ramsey do that. At this point, anyone given high praise is soon to be eliminated and anyone overly criticized is in the winner's circle. Barbie definitely deserved the recognition, but the unusually high praise of transferring one red team member to the blue kitchen tells me that Barbie will be gone soon. On the flip side, Ramsey doing something so low as to cook for Dana (which seems like the ultimate insult in HK) tells me that Dana will be in the F2.
If Barbie wins this show, this was the episode that showed why. Wellington and Steak has destroyed many a chef in this kitchen. Barbie has killed the meat station before, so it was not surprise that she did it again this episode. I need to see her redeem herself on the fish station before I can declare her a contender. I don't think she's been put back on fish since her debacle earlier this season (I think it was episode 2 or 3, not sure).
I can't believe both Clemenza and Robyn outlasted Brian. That was ridiculous, but I see why Ramsey kept them - for the comedy and drama, respectively.
I LMAO at Robyn damn near setting Ramsey on fire. I kinda wished she did set Ramsey on fire (a small fire, nothing more than 3rd degree burns) for yelling at chefs before they had a chance to walk the food to the pass. Chefs deserve to be yelled at if they put up food that is under/over, but food that is still in the cooking process doesn't deserve the yelling unless something unsanitary is happening. In today's episode, Ramsey was just being a jerk looking for reasons to yell at people.

Clemenza makes my stomach turn. I look at him and think of the chefs on Chopped and see no reason for the bad complexion, the gross weight, and I just noticed that he has his hair pulled over a bald spot. He just doesn't look clean, nor do I get the impression that what he cooks will be good for me.
Robyn, please go away. Please. I'll pay you.
And yeah, Ramsay almost getting roasted was priceless.

Awww Brian feels like a castrated dog. I felt so bad for him. I don't believe he could have won but I still think he should have stayed over Robyn. He was earnest and had way better services than Robyn. I would have sent her home just for blaming the guys tonight for the oven thing.
I love Dana's THs. It reminds me of my younger days and this stoner guy I knew. He'd get stoned and start talking louder and louder and he'd lean forward to do it like Dana does.
I didn't like Justin without his headband.

I am still at a loss as to how a chef is supposed to cook beef wellington to an exact degree of done-ness, when you can't tell until you cut it open?
I actually had fancy birthday family dinner this past weekend, and my aunt asked the same question (she had Wellington). Predictably, once I told her the secret, she tilted it and, indeed, did see a thermometer piercing. I don't really know how these people do it, though, they can't use the touch-test on dough.
I LMAO at Robyn damn near setting Ramsey on fire.
Yes, the look of utter disgust as he reared back from the heat was hilarious. It was like, "yeah, that's fire, but I consider it of so little import in the grand scheme of things that it (and you) might as well be a gnat I have to shoo away."
Poor Brian, I will miss him a little. He seemed goodhearted, if goofy; and cute, if too high-maintenance for a relationship (probably a fun one-night stand). I might have voted off Robyn just for those mouth expressions; it's like Popeye shifting his corncob pipe. I literally can notice nothing else now about/during her speeches.

They looked great on mine too. Overcooked? I don't think so. They looked a nice shade of med/med rare to me.
I love Dana's THs. It reminds me of my younger days and this stoner guy I knew. He'd get stoned and start talking louder and louder and he'd lean forward to do it like Dana does.
OMG, that is so true! LOL!!! I haven't been around anyone in that condition since college, but yes, she was so loud and leaning so far forward I thought her head was going to explode.
I might have voted off Robyn just for those mouth expressions; it's like Popeye shifting his corncob pipe.
QueenAnne, you may have just made the best post of the season about Robyn. Popeye it is, she now has a new name!
Robyn gets a black jacket. What has to happen for her to get eliminated?
I believe she'd actually have to set Ramsay, the entire kitchen, and the dinner guests on fire with the show's opening tune "Fire" playing loudly in the background while she laughs like a crazed hyena.

One of many reasons she cracks me up. I could do without some of her "I'm the best" THs, but outside of that, I generally find her hilarious. Her yelling THs have practically saved the season for me - I'd probably enjoy a show of just Dana THs where she narrates a variety of non-cooking related minor workplace calamities.
On other fronts, they should do a video montage of Robyn's weekly losing battle with reality.
Had to love her calling everyone liars when, as usual, it came down to her not knowing what the hell she was doing.

The women are such racists, I half expected them to nominate Barbie just on GP, had Ramsay not showed up with the black jackets. I guarandamntee you, that if there had been any reason to put up a red team member, they would have tried to put up Barbie, even if she had kicked ass on the Wellingtons. All the hugging over the jackets won't convince me that those women wouldn't throw Barbie under a bus as soon as look at her.
Agree -- that yes, given the opportunity to throw Barbie under the bus Dana and Christina would totally heading for Barbie...
But IMHO they would do it because they are BFFs and this is a competition... NOT neccessarily because they're racist. (Without knowing someone outside of the context of this show -- it would be difficult for me to place such a label on them.)
Hell, there's a big chance Dana and Christina will turn on each other when the chips are down... They're competing for a very big prize.
I like the comradery the Red team showed during the service and after they got the black jackets. I think it was real and honest. I'm really rooting for all three ladies and Justine. Robyn?... not so much. She so irritating.
Clemenza may be slob, but I find something charming about his personality. Despite that, I don't think he has what it takes to be hired by GR. Ramsey is always on the look out for talent that can be nurtured... and I think Clemenza has reached his zenith.
