I really question some of Emily's fashion choices, but I loved her blue Maxi skirt that she broke up with Arie in.

The proposal scene put me to sleep. I think Emily may have fallen asleep too, judging by how long it took her to answer Jef's question.

I absolutely agree. I love that he thanked her for sparing him tomorrow.Arie nailed the rejection exit. He took the blow and got the hell out of there...without overdoing the anger. Nice job Arie.
I felt all along that Emily was a terrible, terrible actress and a lot of what she was saying was probably somewhat genuine, but I really knew what a bad actress she was when she said she didn't know if she would accept the proposal and then the ridiculous pause. Please, bitch, no one was buying that.
Ashley was a terrible bachelorette, but she and JP are so cute. I hope they stick together.
I give these two a 50-50 chance. They seem to live in a fantasy world, but maybe they're rich enough that they can get away with that.

I think what sealed it for Emily was when Ricki asked if Jef could come over again.

Wish Arie had kept that story about flying to Charleston on his own and leaving his journal on Emily’s doorstep to himself. I really liked him and although thinking about doing something like that (after a breakup) is understandable, doing it was a bit creepy.
Emily based her decision (mostly) on Jef’s interaction with Ricky, but she never gave Arie the chance to meet Ricki. Seemed strange and unfair. But, she chose Jef so whatever.

But at ATFR, she's all over Jef, and he's demonstrative mostly in response to her moves.
Also interesting that he's moving to Charlotte after she told both him and Arie she'd move.

Also, why must we be subjected to DeAnna again?
Yeah, Emily's final rose dress...not so great. She really does love big jewelry, doesn't she? The blue sarong skirt was flattering!

Word, superpole. Arie wins on all accounts with his maturity. The love potion date was way cruel IMO. Hateful thing to do, Fleiss, and such a major setup. (Note close up of the love-potion bowl during breakup scene.)Arie nailed the rejection exit. He took the blow and got the hell out of there...without overdoing the anger. Nice job Arie.
Emily was taking that long because she was mesmerized by the gigantic ring and was thinking, "Yes, that's the most-expensive-B-ring-ever, the one I especially requested. YES!" Then she remembered Jef was still there. "Oh yeah, you're still here."The proposal scene put me to sleep. I think Emily may have fallen asleep too, judging by how long it took her to answer Jef's question.
Hooray for the Straight Hair hair stylist, back again for ATFR.
If anyone was playing the drinking game every time Emily said "Thank you," please call the EMT squads. Or the morgue. No one could live through that much alcohol.
Last time I'll have to write this: Keep your freaking hands off your hair, Courtney.
Geesh, I missed this. Was the blue maxi the lower part of the white tank top? I guess I didn't get past the skin-tight tank and size (?) chest inside it. Shallow me.I really question some of Emily's fashion choices, but I loved her blue Maxi skirt that she broke up with Arie in.
I did like her dress for the proposal, though. It was so GRECIAN URN, just like all the ladies in "Music Man" wore for their recital. But what? No windswept cliffs in Curacao?
I'm amazed at how Emily can sob up a storm and snuffle snot, bawling her eyes out behind her hands, then, voila! Hands go away and face (and under the nose) is completely dry, and not a hanky in sight. Curacao must be really arid to dry sobbing faces so quickly. They need to market that for people who cry liquid tears.
I maybe used to despise Emily but now I hate her for forcing Arie to find closure from freaking JEF for pete's sake. WTF is up with that? Arie does indeed wear his emotions on his face. I wish him all the best. And I mean ALL the best.
Jef still speaks in e-card language.

At least I hope so, because to be 26 with three broken engagements would be very.....disconcerting.

Jeff is making ALL the sacrifices and she isn't making any sacrifices. I went into this show tonight thinking that they would be engaged still and that she would move to Utah because of his business, but now I see it from Reality Steve's opinion that they will NEVER get married.
Because either Emily wants to take it slow, or she is wanting a career in television, or something, because if it were ALL about Jeff she would already be living in Utah by now.
Jeff deserves a woman who is all about him not a woman who is all about herself.
I thought Jeff looked completely subdued and sort of overwhelmed.
I thought Deana in the audience looked terrible with her huge fat ass. I also felt that Ashley, the former Bachelorette looked horrible. Women with a complete flat chest look terrible in a plunging neckline.
Anyway, I give Jeff and Emily a couple of months at best. I cried through the entire proposal, through their song playing during the flashbacks etc, but seeing Emily not give a wedding date and acting defensive about it when the question was brought up, and Jeff being expected to move to Charlotte, my feelings have completely changed..

So, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope they last simply because Emily seems so happy with Jef and to me that's a beautiful thing.
I think it's great to meet someone who can bring so much joy to your life. By the end of the night, I was cheesing almost as much as Emily was whenever she looked at Jef!

She clearly went with what she viewed as the safe choice. She said as much. If any of this ridiculous show is real, then I do not think she will forget Arie any time soon.
And why wasn't Jef asked about having to watch her make out and talk about how much she loved kissing Arie? Any other lead would have been taken to task over that. More special treatment for Princess Emily.
Oh well, on to Bach Pad - a show that doesn't even try to be anything but superficial.

Emily kept saying she didn't want to be the girl with 15 broken engagements. Read into that what you will!At least I hope so, because to be 26 with three broken engagements would be very.....disconcerting.
Got a kick out of Emily's mom telling Jef that Emily said he met all her criteria. Translation: He's worth $3 mil.
Emily's brother has a serious football face/mouth.
Emily's parents -- or at least the editing they got -- gave Arie the same cool treatment his parents gave Emily (or at least the editing they got).
Poor Arie and Jef both had to walk home from Emily's parents' digs. Emily got a ride.
Poor Jef had to freaking WALK to his engagement platform. At least they gave Arie a ride to the airport so he didn't have to hitch a ride or take a bicycle or something.
Emily and her mom have the same eyes.

Jef is making ALL the sacrifices and she isn't making any sacrifices.
Don't forget her own mother said Emily wants someone to "wait on her hand and foot". Hope Jef took note of that upon rewatch.

Jef seems like a good guy but he looks like Emily's little brother. She already looks 10 years older than him.

Heh, excellent point. Jef and the ring salesman had the fakest conversation about whether it was the one she'd like best. "I know Emily and this is the ring she would pick" or whatever he said seemed like such an odd thing to say. But if she's planning to sell it, she should have thought that through. I think the rose gold thing is a trend that will pass and that ring will look really dated very soon.Emily was taking that long because she was mesmerized by the gigantic ring and was thinking, "Yes, that's the most-expensive-B-ring-ever, the one I especially requested. YES!" Then she remembered Jef was still there. "Oh yeah, you're still here."
I thought Emily's final gown was horrible and she am stunned by her taste. She seems to favor dresses that are too much and overwhelm her. That dress was wearing her rather than the other way around. To me, the only time she looked good was when she was casual.
When Chris replayed the boring proposal for them, I was distracted by the plinky piano music. And after the proposal, does anyone know the name of that cheesy 70s metal power ballad they played? That was such an odd choice, like the editors were trying to mock them or something.

Apparently, Arie saw it that way too.I always saw their connection far more than I saw it with Jef, not just because of the making out but just in general.

I really liked that she let Arie go early and didn't make him propose. I felt so bad for him. Poor boy, come to tiggertwo and I'll make you feel better.
I also agree that Jef seems to be speak like a greeting card sometimes; but he also seems sincere.
I think those crazy kids will actually get married. And I like the plan of Jef toving to Charlotte for now. This will be a big change for Ricki and this way, she's been eased into it. First, he lives in Charlotte in a separate house, then together, and then move, if that's what they decide.

A few observations: I thought Emily came off quite poorly in her interactions with Arie in the live show. Twice she mentioned "confidence," not love, not feelings, rather security, and it highlighted to me that she is quite insecure. Further, that she said that if not for Jef, it would have been Arie leads me to believe that she doesn't know what she's looking for, rather just trying to fill a slot.
Arie slayed the exit AND the live portion. Good for him. Now run away from this train wreck forever, dude. You don't deserve it.
I thought th proposal itself was so boring, so unenthusiastic...I give it until Nov. Starting this fall, the tabs will be covering how she regrets her choice and is contacting Arie. I don't know if Emily will want to lose face and end it again, but...she should.

I liked that Jef and Emily talked about doing a mission trip together, especially as I remember reading someone point out that Jef seemed much more the activist type than Emily, and that might have been a problem. At least she is also willing to travel with him.
I actually think they are adorable. You can see that Emily was glowing with happiness, even moreso if you compare this ATFR to her disaster of an aftershow with Brad. I understand the viewpoint that they have a fantasy world image going on in their heads, but I think it says a lot that they have talked about living arrangements, he has met her daughter on numerous occasions, and they both felt that their relationship transcended the fact that they were on a TV show. It also says something that she stared at him more than at the camera during their segment.
I personally think Emily never intended to introduce either guy to Ricki, and she only changed her mind once she was sitting out with Jef and he expressed how he felt about it. I believe if Arie had gone first, it wouldn't have changed anything, because he wouldn't have convinced her in the same way Jef was able to.
I was distracted during the proposal by the shallow thought that Emily really should have had her hair up with that dress. Also on a shallow note, Ashley Spivey looked super hot in her ATFR white dress.
I really wish my comments could be wittier here, but for once, I really liked the final three (ETA: by final three I mean Emily and her F2, not Sean) and the end result. Luckily for me, Bachelor Pad is coming up which promises a wealth of material to work with!

This. I thought I was the only person who saw this. It doesn't help that the makeup and the new teeth made her look like a cougar and he's older than her.
I guess DeAnna was in the audience to give Emily advice on how to screw up an engagement proposal.
