Mike Booger continues to be, well, a booger. And a creep. And a misogynistic lamewad. So on and so forth, you get the idea.
Kara is such a dud that I wouldn't mind her leaving next, but I hope it's Frank just because I want Mike to fail miserably and be out ASAP.

Note to Ian: you cannot have wanted to try slop for 10 years. In those days there were no have/have nots and there was no slop. There was the pb and j diet. That stayed for awhile. Stop telling us how big a fan you are if you can't keep it all straight.

Had alot of high hopes from Ian from pre-show interviews, but wow creepy and weird in the first week is not a good combo. Being a super fan he should know better.

Ian is the creepiest creeper ever, so it's probably good that Mike saved him. It's even better that Mike saved him because it makes me happier that Frank is nominated instead, after his "oh, just a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 about being nominated, I'm totally confident dude" speech to Mike.
Dan, I like you, but I don't understand your logic. When nominating people, I think the whole "Well, this coach only has 1 person instead of 2 people to nominate, so we must nominate that person" factor is way, way, way down the list. Why on earth would he think his people would be less likely to be nominated if there were two of them to be chosen to be nominated? What am I missing here? I think he's trying too hard to be "BB Dan".
Well, I knew it was inevitable that the coaches would form alliances. I think the way they turned out is the best I could hope for. I'm most likely going to be team "Janelle/Britney" for a long time. Don't dislike Dan, but my hatred of Mike will automatically overpower any other feelings I might have.
As for Willie, when I was in Junior High and even High-school, the first day of school I had many teachers react to me the way I initially reacted to Russell Hantz's Brother being on Big Brother (my older brother was a bit of a terror). It kind of sucked, so I've decided to give him a clean slate, and judge him solely on his actions. So far? I've got nothing really to complain about. Nothing more than the usual 1st HOH cockiness.

That made no sense to me, either. I wonder if it was all just bs to cover up a poor performance after the fact.

I hate the fact of a Hantz being on my TV screen (and what that says about CBS), but I will also withhold judgment on this particular edition until I see more of his behavior. Baby Hantz was very different from the original Russhole, yet just as objectionable in some ways, so I don't hold out a lot of hope that the asshat genetics skipped Willie.

Looks like Joe is the designated DR screamer of the season. Normally I don't notice this kind of thing, but deaf, blind, and dumb people could hear this man. Yeesh, my ears! Tone it down, old man!!
Brit seems to have a good grip on herself and how to play better this go-round. She realizes she sucks at challenges, so teaming up with Janelle is a smart move, especially considering Dan and Boogie are inexplicably together. Hate Boogie asking Dan to be his Dr. Will. With Boogie's crappy playing skills, that's basically saying "can I ride your way better looking and smarter coattails to the win?" Ugh.

Yeah this made absolutely no sense. He could have saved one of the girls, and the other girl could have saved herself with the veto. Furthermore he could have prevented Boogie from saving Ian, leaving the target on him.
I don't really like the new opening theme.

Joe is pretty nuts,
I feel sorry for Ian, he really can't help it.
Sorry Frank, rolled by a Hantz.
Interesting twist so far. I hope it keeps things interesting after last year's snore fest.

I wanted to hate Willie and I wanted to like Ian. Instead, I hate Ian and don't have a problem with Willie. Yet.
I would like to see what Frank and Wil look like with better haircuts. Or just haircuts.

I'm starting to think Dan picked a weak group on purpose, but I have no idea why. Of course, I also can't figure out why he threw the comp in such an obvious way.

Could be he was hoping that no one would want to go after his weaker team and they could just float their way to the end. But that's probably giving him too much credit.
Seems like BB was trying to cause conflict within the mentor groups in this episode. Your group may be mentored by the same person, but you're still competing against each other, especially to be the mentor's favorite so they can give you immunity and spare you from slop.

These folks are as dull as dishwater. I'm sorry to say that Janelle and Britney are the only interesting people at all. Boogie and Dan make me snore.

I think Ian knows better and is just trying to be edgy. I believe he knows he's being watched and is behaving creepy on purpose. His weirdness prowling around the house in his underpants looked fake.
Also, if that was my cowboy hat, I'd be furious!
Does anybody know what slop is, exactly? And is that all they can eat for a week?
This is my first season watching BB. Do the HoH's always lie around in bed like Willie (a la Hugh Hefner)?
Yes, the HOH always lolls around on the bed with his lackies. Always.

Love that Britney and Janelle have teamed up against the boys. And I also loved that the boys underestimated that the girls were strategizing. Boogie's face after the nominations was amazing.
As others have already mentioned, Joe needs to stop shouting. I thought he was about to have an aneurysm at any moment.
Is Jenn the first out lesbian in the history of this show? For some reason I can't remember another woman who was out.
Typically they allow the Have-Nots to eat slop and some other (odd) food combinations voted on by the audience. They're also allowed to use condiments, such as salsa, mayo, etc. I seem to remember HGs getting creative and eating soup made from salsa and water.Does anybody know what slop is, exactly? And is that all they can eat for a week?

Wasn't that the horrid Ivette from S6?

God, yes. He makes Dan seem soft-spoken.Joe needs to stop screaming in the DR please.
Ivette, who lost to Maggie (and evicted Janelle) from Season 6, is the only one I can think of.Is Jenn the first out lesbian in the history of this show? For some reason I can't remember another woman who was out.
As disinclined as I am to have any positive feelings towards a Hantz, I did enjoy seeing Willie play Mike, who looked very unhappy during the nomination ceremony.
It didn’t occur to me until coming here that Ian’s wanderings and weird behavior were anything but natural, but it does seem unlikely that he didn’t remember that people in the HoH room could see his meanderings.

They finally got a new nomination key holder!! It looks a lot
I noticed that too. I hope they also got a new box for the veto. In past seasons, every time they closed the veto box it would pop back open. Always drove me crazy.
Like a previous poster, I too entered school with a bad reputation because of my older brothers. With an unusual Norwegian last name and super light blonde hair, I couldn't pretend I wasn't their sister like I wished I could, so I'm giving Willie a clean slate too. So far I like him.
I'm liking this season so far.

God, yes. He makes Dan seem soft-spoken.
Dude, he made Enzo (of BB12), Adam (BB13) and Jeff seem like they were whispering their DR's. I almost jumped out of my seat when Joe started yelling. Tone it down by a lot. I wonder if he may have trouble hearing himself, though. I'm deaf in one of my ears and I can only imagine how loud I might be in there.
Oh Ian, please go back to normal. I really, really want to root for you, but not if you're gonna be creepy and weird. I hope he's faking, though. That would be hilarious, if he was faking. Although I really don't get his intentions for faking it. But I swear I saw him look at the camera for a split second. But maybe he truly thought they were asleep. What time was it when he was wandering the house? Like, 2am?
Willie doesn't seem annoying yet. Frank's hair still creeps me out, though. And everytime Wil speaks, I think it's one of the ladies. Sorry, Wil.
This has been a better start to the season than last season, though. Although I honestly don't have any favourites yet. Maybe Ashley. Maybe Ian if he'd stop being creepy.

Either Ian is putting on an act or he falls somewhere on the autism spectrum.
I'm guessing he is on the spectrum, or else he is doing a fine acting job. I suspect the former. I'm kind of liking Ian - his enthusiasm is genuine and I enjoy seeing someone riling up the other HGs just by virtue of lurking around.
Boogie needs to stop talking in 3rd person. Seriously.
Dan got rid of Jodi because Danielle and Kara get along so well? Ha ha...hee...oh, Dan. You slay me. I'm sure getting rid of Jodi had nothing to do with the fact that Danielle and Kara look like (or are) models.

The only thing Dan could've done to make it more obvious he was throwing the comp was to yell out "Oh no, I have completely fallen and I cannot get up at this point in time".
I hated Boogie for gloating on the first comp, but then seconds later I did love that he picked Ian and loved his reasoning to protect him.

The only thing I find interesting about Mike Boogie is watching his shoulders get more hunched and his nose try to touch his chin as his old man appearance gets even older.
I don't mind the Hantz men as much as I probably should. They bring a different sort of obnoxious behavior than the Hollywood type we usually get.

I have no problem with him walking around the house acting like a fool when everyone is supposedly asleep, playing it up for the cameras knowing that the people maybe watching him on TV in the HOH Room. That way, he can search the house without making it look too obvious that he is searching the house. He just needs to put on a show for the HOH while he is doing it.
