Walt deals with the aftermath of the explosion; Hank tries to wrap up his investigation into Gus's empire.

Walt Junior is such a sweet kid. Still love Saul.

"Fring you magnificent bastard".

Mike has a soft spot for Jesse?

"Inspector Clark with the Dave Clark Five".

Oh shit, Ted is not dead.

PMA - positive mental attitude. Mike is so grumpy!

What was that address that showed up on Gus's photograph in evidence?

and finally... MAGNET!

Pretty sure it was a bank account number/routing info, not an address on the picture. Follow the $$$...

PMA and the MAGNETS! B*TCH! had me cracking up.

Skyler showing the sympathy and then breaking cold with the "Good" when Ted said he wouldn't talk.

Welcome back, BB :)

Something about the Cayman Islands...which I'm guessing is a bank/holdings account of some sort.

This was a good opener for the season. Lots of action as always, although I still have no strong emotional attachment to any of the characters. I do hope the Jesse, Mike, Walt team sticks together.

Cayman Islands. Gus was hiding his money overseas like many other rich people do. Hank didn't lose the trail but he has been rerouted to the same destination .

When he said "I forgive you", I literally shouted "Oh my GOD!!!!!!!" and chuckled a bit. Skyler's fucked.

And how many of us laughed at Ted?

Holy crap that was awesome.

WTF in the beginning though. Flashforward? I'm so confused.

Magnets??? LOL that was hilarious. But they better hope like all hell that the magnet destroyed that hard drive too. Have they never heard of a forensic software?

I think Walt has a total God complex now and he's scaring me.

Still can't stand Skyler.

Bravo!

Gotta love Walt "I forgive you ". You can tell Skylar has way buyers remorse for this lifestyle. The most fascinating thing about the opening scene is Walt looked sick and tired, but if he has cancer shouldn't the hair get going? Or has he refused treatment? The other big omission is Jesse. Which is interesting since Jesse is doing everything possible this episode to help Walt. This wont be pretty.

And, please, AMC, make a Saul Goodman spinoff.

Two questions: during the end of the tour of the laundromat, Hank shined a light up on a burned out item that to me looked like a Conquistador hat or something. What was that?

I didn't understand where they were in the beginning scene. Were they in ABQ and Walt just had a fake ID from New Hampshire?

My God, I have missed this show! Walter White is a scary, arrogant douchebag, and Bryan Cranston is awesome at portraying that.
Love that Jesse was the one to come up with the solution (Yeaaah, bitch!!!)
Who would've thought they'd find a way for me to feel legitimately sad for Ted? Damn...

Fucking magnets. How do they work? (Sorry.)

I think Walt has a total God complex now and he's scaring me.

Oh, yeah. I did like Mike and Jesse's "..." reaction to Walt serenely declaring that the magnet successfully erased the hard drive "because I say so."

How adorable was Mike scolding the chickens who wouldn't let one of the other chickens eat? Aw.

A camera, or rather the burnt-out remains of one.

Am I imagining things or was Bryan Cranston in the Total Recall movie promo followed by Aaron Paul in a liquor commercial?

Those flash cuts to the Small Town Security promos had me so confused; I kept thinking they were part of the story. Very annoying.

That was the destroyed security camera.

Yes..Cranston is in the Total Recall reboot..and that was Aaron Paul with P Diddy in that commercial.

Oh, I did. But I also guffawed out loud when he tripped over the rug last season.

Great episode. I got a chill when Walt told Skyler, "I forgive you."

Walt looks older.

Skyler looks younger.

Mike looks thinner.

Walt is moving into the mid-late-Godfather-II-Michael-Corleone headspace where his "I did it for my family" refrain is a mere cloak for his full-on narcissistic sociopathy.

Give me more.

The cops discovered a bank account Gus has in the Cayman Islands with BancSuisse, should be interesting. I'm certain the magnet erased the hard drive, there's no way it could have survived... look at how powerful it was. All it takes is a magnet to scramble a magnetic device like a hard drive or the strip on a credit card and that magnet was hundreds of thousands of time more powerful than a magnet you'd hold in your hand. I think this 1st ep of S5 was pretty lame considering how fantastic S4 was but I'm excited BB is back.

Loved it. It wasnt as action filled as the finale but I still loved it.

Mike - I loved him the most maybe. Bless him for telling Jesse to get the fuck out of dodge <333 if only my bb Jesse would listen to that advice.

I dont really get what was happening with Walt in the opening when he had hair.

Jesse - Magnets Bitch! LOL forever. He actually had a good idea. love him.

I loved Jesse/Walt in the van with the masks. It reminded me of season 1.

Walt and Mike were very amusing at Jesses house. It seemed like Walt and Mike were the parents arguing and Jesse was their kid. I hope we get more Walt/Jesse/Mike team ups this season.

I didnt really care about Ted/Skyler stuff tbh.

Saul and Walt - that scene was intense. I actually felt bad for Saul.

Walt get a handle on your ego ass wipe.

loved the small detail of the Gus/Max pic.

Lol at Walt going and getting the plant from the back yard to throw away.

I would think Walt would have thought about the cameras when they were destroying the lab.

Yeah, I laughed at Ted....but it was because of Skyler's reaction that was shown first, really! And now that I know the universal sign for KEYS...I should be just fine in life.

My guess is that the stuff at the beginning is a flash forward, much like the pool scenes in Season 2 were. And, as in Season 2, I think we'll see other bits of that now and then (but not always) until we catch up to it in real time. My guess is those scenes are from the show at the end of this season (or half season).

I didn't laugh at Ted. I was horrified, just like Skyler. Even worse was how scared he was of Skyler, and then how Skyler absorbed that feeling of power.

At the end when Walt walked up to Skyler in the bedroom, I put myself in her shoes and felt terror -- I wouldn't have been surprised if he struck her. I know that it's too soon for something like that to happen in the show, but I just didn't know what Walt was going to do. He's a scary mofo.

It does look like the beginning sequence was a flashforward. I didn't notice any sign of where it was, though I'd guess still in the Southwest. I noticed Walt coughed in the bathroom, so of course that makes me think his lung cancer has come back. Who was the guy who gave him the keys? Was he the "vacuum cleaner guy" that Saul told Walt about? Or was he a guy who worked with Mike? (He looked familiar. I should have watched some of the past season before this started.)

In the flash forward scene at the beginning, Walt spelled out his age with the bacon....52. Is that scene two years in the future? I thought he just turned fifty at some point in the series?

Damn, that was fun.

Yeah, bitches. Magnets!

Ted sure was scared of Skyler. Yes, I chuckled, but I also felt his horror.

Can't wait to see how long until we get to the Denny's and "Mr. Lambert's" birthday scene.

Welcome back, Jim Beaver!

I could've watched Walt and Mike discuss setting an evidence room on fire for a whole hour. But some idiot kept saying, "Magnet!" I can't believe they actually followed through with that. I guess "Magnet" was a better idea than "Build a robot". Jesse's excitement over the magnet working was hilarious. Although not quite as hilarious as the truck tilting over onto a police station.

I thought Ted being dead was going to be the bad news. Ted being alive was even worse news. Even though I didn't like Ted, it was hard not to feel sympathetic towards the guy. I must be "Breaking Bad" as a viewer because I said out loud "Ted's gotta die" when he swore he wouldn't tell anyone.

I want to talk endlessly about the beginning of the ep and whether that has to do with the end of this "half-season" or the show as a whole. However, the teddy bear in the pool thing has led me to believe Walt buying a massive automatic weapon and what looks like bombs/mines might not be what it appears to be.

We know Walt Broke Bad... he passed that exit a LONG time ago. However, his behavior in this ep is more frightening that we've ever seen. I was more bothered by "I forgive you" than any of the other craziness he exhibited like threatening Saul or the "You're not going to be slapping me around anymore" look he shot Mike in the car.

I'm confused on the flashforward. He took some meds right? Have a missed a huge plot point because I thought his cancer was in remission? Does this mean the cancer is back or was that actually a flashback?
