This summer, VH1 is bringing a southern-fried tale of struggle, love and temptation to Atlanta, Georgia with an all new season of “Love And Hip Hop.” Premiering June 18 at 8PM, VH1′s docu-soap “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” proves love, music and the game know no boundaries. As the newest installment in the successful “Love And Hip Hop” franchise, “Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta” will feature an all new cast with their eyes on the prize of fortune, fame and family.
Among the main characters in this 10-episode series are Stevie J, a three-time Grammy Award-Winning producer who has worked with artists such as Diddy, Jay-Z and Mariah Carey, Stevie’s longtime girlfriend Mimi Faust, and a fiery up-and-coming Latina rapper named Joseline.
There’s no shortage of drama with this strong-willed trio. Also featured areLil Scrappy, best known for his 2006 smash hit, “Money in the Bank,” his girlfriend Erica Dixon, and his mother, a former hustler known as “Momma Dee.”
The hometown hero, Atlanta rapper Rasheeda, is still searching for that big hit after years in the hip hop game, but she’s constantly at odds with her manager Kirk Frost – who also happens to be her husband. Rounding out the cast are the talented songbird K Michelle, and Trinidadian R and B singer Karlie Redd.

Premieres this Monday. Here's the super trailer: http://www.youtube.c...be_gdata_player

Judging from the preview, this version looks completely scripted instead of partially scripted.

I saw the pictures of the premiere party, and yeah, the cast members looked a hot refried mess. I'll pass. Rasheeda is a cutie though - I have soft spot for her.

Benzino is supposed to be apart of the cast...I wonder where they dug him up.

I actually think the women in the cast are very pretty. The problem is that they all look alike!

Episode 1 is up now: http://www.vh1.com/v.../playlist.jhtml

There's already drama before the show airs when a blogger asks if one of the ladies is transgendered: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=uIf7lCVzU7Y

The hell?

So the alleged transgender (Joseline?) popped off at the mouth and said the blogger was the one who actually looked like a transvestite. Said blogger reveals that she was actually referring to Joseline in the first place. Mona says she's seen J naked (probably during filming and Mona being behind the scenes) and could vouch that she's a woman. Hoopride Kimberly says in an aside that she still questions whether or not Joseline's vagina is manmade and says that unless Mona has "tasted the twat" that there's no way Mona can know for certain.

Pure mess, and the last time I'll give this blogger any attention.

I'm ready for the show, esp to see Rasheeda. I don't know how it will help any of the artists have success musically but at least they'll get be able to upgrade their celebreality status from the exposure.

I think Joseline really may be a man, especially after watching the first episode on VH1's website. Not to mention Sandra Rose is now reporting that someone sent her Joseline's high school photo when she known as Joe..and that YouTube blogger Funky Dineva also verified that Joseline is indeed a man and use to hang out at the local ATL gay clubs..I HOPE they discuss this on the show!

The first episode was a lot better than I expected. It was as ratchet as I hoped it be! LOL. Mimi is a fool for continuing a relationship with Stevie J..she should have clocked him and walked away when he answered Joseline's phone call in the middle of their argument!

The Carlie chick is going to be a shit stirrer judging by the mess she started with Mimi and in the previews I saw her getting into it with K. Michelle! I actually liked K Michelle before the show as I was a fan of her music, so it's sad to hear how get deal and relationship went terribly south. I think she'll be a fan fave.

Scrappy is an idiot for contemplating leaving Erica..she held him down even after he cheated and left her! I really like Erica and I liked how she didnt back down to Momma D, who is also hilarious. I want to hear more about her pimping past..

With all the talk about Diamond it makes me kind of mad as a viewer that she dropped out of the show when she found out Scrappy and Momma D would be on. Diamond, Momma D, Scrappy AND Erica could be a show all on its on!

Rasheeda stayed out of the fray this episode but I'm sure she has more coming up.

I just saw the full episode.

When we got introduced to Joseline, did we really have to see all the shots of her ass? I'm not sure if she's trying to do similar music to Somaya based on the soundbites but she's skanky and trashy. No me gusta.

"Queen" Momma Dee is gonna give Nancy a run for her money, and Diamond is going to get dragged like no one's business. It's like she never backed out of doing the show in the first place as many times as her name was dropped this first episode.

Are we supposed to believe that Rasheeda and K Michelle are friends? Isn't Rasheeda friends with Toya, Lil Wayne's ex who's now married to Memphitz, who allegedly "beat (K Michelle's) ass?" Correct me if I'm mistaken but that was a staged scene for storyline purposes only.

Karlie and Antonio: A relationship of convenience?

It's hard to tell some of the women apart on first look but they all are some variety of pretty. I think I'm all in this season though the Stevie/Mimi/HOseline storyline is gonna make me break me shit. Stevie is way too smug. I was envisioning a Season 2 storyline that shows Mimi and the baby moving out to a new downgraded living environment showing her making it on her own, but it's probably way too premature an idea and not likely to happen.

ETA: Just read this old interview with K. Michelle and I like how she conducted herself, learning a little more about her music background and how she dealt with the comments from Keyshia Cole. I think I pre-like her. I heard her name before but I'll have to check out her music now.

Just saw the promo for the show. Am I the only lame who didn't know any of those women? I recognized Lil' Scrappy, and one or two of the women looked familiar, but I couldn't tell you their names if my life depended on it. I'm still going to watch because its summer and all my other shows are on hiatus, but I hope its the hot mess you guys are saying it will be because anything less and it won't hold my attention.

or not Joseline's vagina is manmade and says that unless Mona has "tasted the twat" that there's no way Mona can know for certain.

This made me laugh out loud for real.

I knew of Rasheeda by way of her "Bubble Gum" video which was my Youtube guilty pleasure a few years ago. I heard of K Michelle's name but wasn't familiar with her at all but then again Olivia was the only one I knew prior to LHH:NY so I think it should be fine. And yes, this will be a hot semi-scripted mess. As long as they keep the bullying and fisticuffs to a minimum I plan to be along for ride this whole season.

The Carlie chick is going to be a shit stirrer judging by the mess she started with Mimi and in the previews I saw her getting into it with K. Michelle!

K Michelle saying "this bitch is shakin the table!" followed by the TH tickled me. She's like a mashup of Kelly Rowland and Keyshia Cole lookswise IMO but I want to like her.

Pure. Fuckery

-Mimi is a damn fool; get your shit and go, that fool is clearly not here for you. Stevie J is disgusting but she lets him treat her that way

- Joseline...I know I wasn't the only one who saw "Chi-Chi Rodriguez" whenever she was on screen. She's a clown. Couldn't stop laughing when she got mad that a drink got thrown on her "fur"; I think Fraggle hair is machine-washable

-K. Michelle could be interesting; she's definitely got the "Olivia" story-arc going, but I kinda dig her voice and she seems laid-back enough

-Lil Scrappy's mama looks like Paul Mooney in a wig

K Michelle had an awesome song with Jim Jones called "can't do this" out about a year ago - I have yet to hear one of Olivia's recent songs ANYWHERE.

I'm going into the show loving K Michelle.

I spent 1 hour of my life watching this coonery and ratcheness and I want it back. I cannot tell most of these women apart except for the sadistic ex pimp/drug dealer/mother in law. The only name that I kinda recognize is Stevie J but that was from years ago. Joseline could be a tranny who knows, who cares but she is out for #1 and will do anything and anyone to get there. Mimi needs to take the house offered by Stevie J, transfer it to her name and kick his cheating behind to the curb!
That other singer chick is a shit disturber, I did not catch her name, i wonder if she will end up sleeping with Stevie J too?
I kinda like K. Michelle, I wonder if she is as talented as she claims? She seems the most relatable and down to earth. I did not like her outfit at the club but she was smart to get out of there before any fights started.
Everyone on this show needs to go to the doctor and get themselves checked out!!
I am off to listen to some Janelle Monae, an talented, acclaimed, artiste out of Atlanta who is above all of this coonery!

I know I'm older but I wonder about some of these women, especially the ones who have children with these men. To me it seems that they have kids with these guys, don't bother to get married, maybe they want to and the men don't, but then they want the commitment. To me if a man has a baby with me and doesn't want to get married, it means he doesn't want a commitment, because if he did, he'd want to get married. I don't get what all of them have against marriage; but like I said, I'm old fashioned.

All my Facebook friends were posting about this show, so even though I've never seen an episode of the original show and I had no plans to watch this one, I caved to see what all the hoopla was about. I must say that I was surprised that there wasn't a transvestite on the show, because all of my FB friends kept saying that there was one on the show. I'm pretty sure they were talking about Joseline, and I kept waiting for her to reveal that about herself, but it didn't happen.

Now, I'm afraid that, like with most train-wrecks, I can't look away. I need to know who Joseline is pregnant for, if she is even pregnant. I wouldn't put it past her to fake it in order to hem some guy up. I also have to see what happens between Lil Scrappy and Stevie J during their confrontation.

I agree that Mimi is a dam fool for sticking it out with Stevie J. He brought his side chick to the club and left with her. IN YOUR FACE. And instead of leaving with your true friend, you chase after that scumbag and cause a scene that really only made you look bad. If the previews are correct, you still haven't kicked him to the curb.

Speaking of Stevie J, does he not realize that he's being filmed? Or does he just not care that he his humiliating the mother of his child? Then again, he knows that Mimi will take any shit he dishes out, so he could care less.

-Joseline...I know I wasn't the only one who saw "Chi-Chi Rodriguez" whenever she was on screen. She's a clown. Couldn't stop laughing when she got mad that a drink got thrown on her "fur"; I think Fraggle hair is machine-washable

Wasn't she the one that actually threw the drink though?

I thought Joseline was a man when I first saw her. Is she a biological woman? Was she born a woman? Whoever she is, she's trying too hard to look like Rihanna and it's not working.

Joseline looks like a male Rihanna impersonator... a drag queen, with man-made boobs and ass. Her styling also does nothing to dissuade me that she wasn't originally named Joe.

That's an insult to drunk men everywhere.

I still can't tell who's who b/c none of them I've ever heard of. The fact that they are all busted looking isn't helping matters.

At least w/ Dirt Nasty (shit even Fabulous too) I could see the allure - Stevie J and Lil Scrappy - I can't see any appeal at all..none. I think even Emily is saying 'get some self respect ladies.'

La Reid's son - never thought I'd say this, but La got the looks in the family.

Also - I expect more from Mona, the amount of ass shots in this episodes was just ridiculous.

I know we are supposed to be above violence and its not polite putting your hands on anyone, getting physical doesn't solve anything blah, blah, blah.

That being said, if we were in the middle of an argument about your side piece tranny girlfriend and you answer the phone in the middle of our argument to talk to your side piece tranny girlfriend it's going to take Jesus and 4 more white people to get me off of your black ass. Maybe you should call Black Jesus too.

Mimi should have walked right there. That level of disrespect is inexcusable.

Did Mimi say they've been together 15 years? or on and off 15 years. Whatever it is it's 15 years too long to be putting up with his crap. Wasn't Stevie J with Eve during that time period and also Whoopi Goldberg's Daughter? And only God knows who else.

I have to admit that this show has got my attention even though I don't know any of the players except for Stevie J. Even though only one episode has aired, I like it better than the original.

Ohhh this show is a hot sizzling spicy mess. LOVE IT.

Brings me back to what Chrissy said last season. Something about if your man loves you he will at least not let you see or hear all the dirt he's doing. For Stevie J to be so blatant about that shit is crazy. Girl needs to take the hint and get it together. I LOVE her friend trying to knock some sense into her. She should hold a seminar on "Friends of girls with low self-esteem who let ballers/entertainers walk all over them" and extend a special invitation to Emily's friend from last season who told her to suck it up and stay with Fab because she aint getting any younger or some bs.

"Queen" Momma Dee is gonna give Nancy a run for her money

IMO, Mommy Dee done took Nancy's money and ran with it. She was laugh out loud funny. IN. THAT. ORDER. Rofl. Was she really a pimp? Like for real for real? That is crazy. With all the craziness she was saying, she did have some good points regarding Scrappy and his girlfriend (who's name I didn't catch). I lol'ed at her badmouthing Diamond and saying something about how she's not ready to give up the throne.

In the first scene it looked like Hoseline was a tranny. But in the other scenes she looked like a regular chick. I'm going to say she was born female until I see/hear something proving otherwise. IF she is a tranny, she looks like a damnn good one to me.

Wait??? Mimi says she and Stevie J. Have been together for 15 years.... The only reason I know who he is is because he dated Eve in 02-03. And just a couple of weeks ago on Eves Behind the Music she said he proposed.

And Ariane is the best friend ever. I was that friend at a certai point you either stop listening or walk away from a friendship with a fool.

Well if she is in fact pregnant, as the previews have hinted, then that should clear things up.

Maybe once Mimi sees herself on this show, she'll wake up and dump his ass. One can only hope.

I lol'ed at her badmouthing Diamond and saying something about how she's not ready to give up the throne.

My favorite part was when she was talking about Diamond and getting progressively more angry and she said that they were making her relive it. I was a bit scared for the cameraman/producers.
