Ballroom? Ballroom! Not as much or as high quality as I would've liked after the drought, but I don't even care, because ballroom!

Is it just me or was Lindsay Arnold (the ballroom dancer who said she's also trained in a variety of other styles and is therefore more entertaining) actually not that good? She seemed to shuffle her feet, I really didn't see the same dynamic movement from her legs that I see from Anya or Chelsie.

Murphy Yang really impressed me when his dance really matched the accents in the music. I loved it. Broke my heart when he lost his way in the choreography.

Apparently, the top 20 reveal episode in two weeks will be the show's 200th.

I know right? It was a pretty welcome change. I like that it was interspersed with some contemporary dancers and the krumper though that only served to show how much contemporary dancers really do blur together.

No idea on her level of technique, but she has a ridiculously attractive family.

The Johnny the ballroom dancer bit was kind of funny at first, but really became less funny as it dragged on. Also, he needs to be told to lay off the orange self-tanner. I could see the stain transition at his hair line (!) and maybe should have done some math before taking that "double your dating" course (because 2 x zero = zero).

Thank goodness the auditions are coming to a close soon.

I wasn't as impressed with any one person on this episode as I was with a couple of individuals in the other audition episodes, but overall it wasn't bad and I was glad to see some ballroom given screen time. I did fast forward through what felt like an enormous amount of screen time on that aerospace engineer woman. There had to be more decent stuff to show us. Or maybe not? I was also disappointed that Murphy couldn't quite pull off the choreo. I so wanted him to do well.

My DVR cut off right on a shot of someone in Vegas being taken out on a stretcher, wearing a neck brace. So, you know, that's not terribly auspicious.

Yay!! Ballroom. Finally. Not Anya/Pasha levels of ballroom, but beggers can't be choosers at this point.

I am so over auditions. If it weren't for the promos showing that there would be ballroom auditions this week, I probably would have skipped this week entirely. This once a week crap is just waaaayyyyy to drawn out for me.

Vegas week looks . . . quite frankly like every other Vegas week. Meltdowns - check. Inuries - check. Requisite ambulance shot - check. Screaming choreographers - check. Nasty judges - check. Crying blonde chick swearing she can do this - check. Its got it all.

Was it just me or did it look like Twitch was doing the hip hop choreography? I forgot to rewind and check before I erased.

That was indeed Twitch. I did the rewind and pause to check ;-) The guy that landed on his back and they said wasn't moving looked like on of the three roomates from last week.

Loved the last guy. I wish they would have put him through to Vegas, just to give him the experience. Murphy was amazing, hopefully he will be back next year.

I had to agree with Adam, Preying Mantis guy had the potential to be quite terrible and yet he was original, interesting, had a narrative, and the dance was pretty terrific as well.

Oh yeah...I don't know technical stuff about dance, only what I think looks pretty. I didn't think the Hawaiian guy had bad feet, can someone explain why they all mentioned it?

Deana was fantastic, but I wanna know what version of "I Can't Make You Love Me" that was cause it wasn't Adele or Bonnie Raitt.

Love all the ballroom. Kinda tired of the contemporary reign.

I loved seeing the krumper, the Praying Mantis guy (he made me think of Mark Kanemura), Murphy Yang, the guy who danced to Try a Little Tenderness (even if I agreed with their critiques, I loved his accent on some of the beats), and the shirtless ballet/acrobatic guy whose name I cannot remember (his moves were absolutely gorgeous). The contemporary girls I've lost interest in, and the ballroom was nice, but nobody stood out who was memorable to me.

Decent episode, less sob stories (the homeless because my family doesn't support me story, the people coming back to re-audition).

Johnny creeped me out. His sleazy act wore thin, his dancing wasn't that impressive, and he just looked slimy. I was also surprised to see there was a ten-year difference between him and his partner, who probably doesn't like him, hence the lack of chemistry.

I didn't like the burlesque jazz girl. I thought she overdid it on trying to act sexy, and it looked forced and awkward.

It sounded like maybe Winona or Trisha Yearwood, not sure, though.

Did they add more audition shows this year? It seems like they've been going on forever. Cat said this is the final audition show but I'm wondering if they're going to stick in some sort of filler. Start the competition already!

I didn't think Lindsay Arnold was all that good either. I've certainly seen way better female Ballroom dancers on this show and I've watched damn near every season. I actually thought a few of the girls in the ballroom montage directly following were better than Lindsay.

Loved Praying Mantis guy and the Hawaiian guy. I didn't get why they kept harping on his bad feet either but I'm not an expert so maybe someone else can explain that.

Liked the last guy and the female krumper. I wish they would have let them go through to Vegas even if they weren't going to make it that far. This show tends to send the hip-hop people to choreo quicker than any other genre no matter how good their audition and of course a lot of them get cut because they can't do the ballroom or contempo pieces that they inevitably get.

Lindsay Arnold (ballroom dancer), who was her partner? He looked familiar, actually he looked like a kid named Brandon who performed on Dancing With the Stars kiddie section a few years ago.

The little blond krumper was much better that I imagined.

Johnny was definitely slimy and used too much spray tan.

No way Johnny was 29. And that dating course he talked about is apparently like $400. Wonder if there is a money back guarantee?

Johnny has a website with a dance resume on it --he teaches voice and breakdance along with ballroom. Apparently he taught at a university/college program, so maybe he got a staff discount on the course.

Didn't care for either of the overhyped ballroom girls. Cross-trained one was average at best and Little Miss Sexy Braces was overdoing it. And Nigel can quit it with the invoking of Anya's name. Nobody came close to Anya. Puh-leeze.

But I am pleased to see some ballroom--just wish it had been better.

Didn't like the Corset Girl. Talk about trying too hard.

Did like the Hawaiian guy and the Insect Boy. Not sure what was awful about Hawaiian guy's feet either. Was it the arch?

Still can't stand Adam. Ugh.

I thought it was because his feet were bent instead of straight. I'm not in any way a dance expert, but from what I have seen on this show, the toes should be straight and pointed so that the eye continues from the leg straight through the foot, but his were really obviously bent and pointing down. There are probably fancy dancing terms for all this, but I don't know them.

The course Johnny was talking about was not a university course. It is one of those squeeze pages where they sell you an ebook and an online course. From what I saw, there is an ebook that is $14.95 and at least two or three courses. The advanced dating course is $400 and the so-called "Cocky Comedy" course is $165.

I hope I can explain this well. His feet were just OK from his arch through his toes, but he didn't have much flexibility in his ankles which tends to make his feet look flexed even if he's pointing hard. Also, he was wearing those half footie things that were a different color from his skin which emphasized his poor foot position. There were also some moments where he actually was flexing when he shouldn't have been.

I'm definitely tired of the auditions. They replaced the sob stories with wingnuts of various stripes. I'm guessing the rocket scientist was laid off for mental health reasons; she was better than Sex, but not a whole lot. The Charm School Dropout was dull, but his partner was quite sparkly. The Praying Mantis guy was a decent mover, but I did not want to watch someone's head being eaten, I'm weird that way. All Belle de Jour needed was a pole; when Nigel tells you 'too much burlesque', then you need to dial it back. I wonder why she would present herself this way. It practical guarantees a swift exit if you make it to audience voting.

I thought the judges were patronizing when talking to Leroy. He did seem like a nice guy but it was a little too thick for me.

Totally agree. She had a couple of clunky steps and some flaily arm movements.

Slutty girl Rachel burlesque dancer can FOAD any time now. She's disgusting, with her HMV movements.

I really liked Adrian Lee. He's a big guy, and he has long legs that just twirl when he moves.

I thoroughly agree Holliday. It really was patronizing. I thought he came across as really kind and likeable and was actually a surprisingly good dancer, but they really were piling it on thick and it just made me cringe.

Glad to see ballroom back on the show, even if the dancers that were featured weren't all that impressive. I like Praying Mantis Dude and Hawaiian Guy. I don't really remember anyone else.

Lindsay looked good because of her partner, who showcased her well. Her arms were like Kermit the Frog's to my eye, flailing all over the place compared to the sharp concise movements of her partners'. She's pretty, and can follow, but that was about it.

Add me to the chorus of "Yay! Ballroom!" I actually said "Thank God for Utah" (which is just weird to say) when that first girl came on. I liked her (the one with braces), but was dreading the inevitable Anya related comment by Nigel. She was good, but she shouldn't be put in comparison with Anya. It does her no favors. Plus every time Nigel says Anya is one his favorites I just want to punch him in the face for not putting her in the Top 10. Yeah, still pissed.

Lindsay looked good because of her partner, who showcased her well.

I agree. He was lovely and a very good partner. I actually found her sort of boring in addition to the issues with the technical dancing. When the judges were talking about her presence, I had to assume it felt different live.

I was right there with Adam first cringing then awing over praying mantis guy. It had all the earmarks of a train wreck from the package to the intro, and then he was fantastic.

So happy to see ballroom! Hopefully in the blur of the ballroom auditions we got a glimpse of there will be some awesome top 10 quality ballroom dancers, because the 2 girls they focused on weren't exactly Anya/Julianne Hough no matter what Nigel says.

Hawaiian guy was amazing, dancing looked effortless for him. But maybe he shouldn't wear those foot things? Also liked praying mantis guy, I thought he was going to suck but he was quite good.

I'm pretty sure the krumper did get through.

I thought the burlesque girl was ridiculous. And I was bummed that Murphy Yang couldn't swing the choreography.
