You knew it would come eventually. From Mob Wives, here is Big Ang's show which premieres July 8th on VH1. Here is the teaser trailer:

I wondered if there was a thread for this show. Yep, there is.

I saw the preview for this show last night. Cannot believe this coke fiend is getting her own show. *smh*

VH1 is incessantly promoting this mess. I have never watched Mob Wives, and I sure as hell won't be watching Big Ang. She creeps me out like no one else.

.....She creeps me out like no one else.

I know what you mean. I have never watched Mob Wives either so I didn't know what she looked like. Saw a preview of her show and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Yea, she creeps me out too....big time.

Ang=Angela (Ange' is another spelling). If people didn't watch Mob Wives I don't know why they'd tune in to the show.

What does "Big Ang" mean?

"Big Ang" is a nickname for Angela, a recurring "character" on Mob Wives. She was apparently named for her big personality.

I don't understand why VH1 is giving her a spin-off already, I'd think they'd wait until after season 3 of Mob Wives. I don't mind Big Ang, but I don't get why she's getting her own show.

I think so. It was in some article about the Mob Wives or just Big Ang herself. I guess the 'wiseguys' gave her the name because of her personality (despite her other larger-than-life attributes LOL).

It's because she's a trainwreck that you can't turn away from watching. She's somebody that you can't help but stare at but she's also very funny. VH1 wants to capitalize on her before the oddity wears off. That's what VH1 and Bravo specialize in.

Thank you. I just finished season 2 of Mob Wives, and I'd have rather seen her as a full-fledged wife there than her own spin-off. But, if I'm honest, I'll probably watch this as well. I do like her Muppet-with-growth-hormone-and-plastic-surgery-looking self.

I just want to say I have a real problem with a convicted drug dealer having her own show and all the attending publicity. Isn't there anyone else VH1 could consider worthy of giving a show to instead of this piece of shit?

I didn't really watch Mob Wives, and at first glance I thought 1) it was Big Ang, as in angus beef, and 2) that's a man, baby!

Color me surprised.

Are you sure that she's named "Big Ang" because of her big personality ? because girl is huge!

I know what you mean. I have never watched Mob Wives. The previews I saw for Mob Wives, before it actually came on, was just as violent as BBW so I passed on it. When I saw the previews for Big Ang I was like damn.

I watched it tonight because I curious. She and her friends are definitely over the top. I found it hard to understand what she was saying half the time but now that my curiosity is satisfied I'm done. Once was enough for me.

I stumbled upon this yesterday and was horrified. IMO Big Ang is a hideous eyesore with no class or presence (despite her nickname), and her friends all look like washed-up coke whores in their late 60s. What an awful premise for a show.

I won't tune in again.

This was my first exposure to Big Ang. Don't plastic surgeons have mirrors in their offices? She's grotesque. If she was food, she'd be haggis.

I tuned in because I was curious. It was mob molls reliving their glory days like 40 years ago. And a walking poster of cosmetic surgery gone terribly, terribly wrong. Wasn't very entertaining.

I [disagree with that]. [I don’t believe that] everything illegal is morally wrong (just like not everything legal is morally right). If everyone who did something illegal was pulled from tv, we wouldn't have anything but the Brady Bunch (although, I've always had my suspicions about that housekeeper).

I love Big Ang in small doses, but I could barely get through the first episode b/c her voice starts to grate on my nerves after about 5 minutes.

Also, someone please tell Big Ang to cut the cord - how many mothers are begging their 23 yo son to move back in?

Just caught the first episode. Delusional! All of them! Who wants to watch a bunch of women who look like their in their late 60s talking about the glory days of the mob? Not me, I'm out.

OK, I watched the first show. I just don't see this one lasting very long. Big Ang was comedy relief in her "Mob Wives" spots but I can't see her being able to carry a show of her own. Even on a VH-1 level, there's not much substance here.
I can't always understand what she's saying through those liver lips of hers and her stable of friends appear to be little more than rode hard & put away wet, over the hill floozies. And we're just getting into episode #2 and already, her precious son is apparently facing jail time. It all reeks of trying too hard to be outrageous and interesting. I'll pass.

It's nice to see that Vera de Milo is still getting work.
Jim Carrey as Vera de Milo

Seriously though, I stumbled across this show and could not figure out what in the hell I was looking at. I don't know who Big Ang is, but "she" scares me.

I saw this woman in a promo for this show and was horrified! What kind of behavior is this? How old are these women, 50+? What did they look like when they were 25, 30? Are Ang's boobs enhanced? I know that sounds naive on my part but some women do have them that big. If they are enhanced, I can't imagine she was anything close to flatchested.

The lips? Really disgusting.

It really is like an accident you can't turn away from. I hope this show gets cancelled.

Although I can't stand the show, and Big Ang's voice does indeed grate, I really have to say that I admire her as a person. In spite of her past, she seems to have a lot of friends who love her and she doesn't like beef. Unlike most housewives/mobwives,babymommas on reality shows, she sticks to her guns when it comes to staying out of trouble. Not a single fight yet!

She may be a convicted felon, but she sure seems to like peace and party-time. I gotta love her - from afar!

Well, I don't hope the show get canceled because If I don't like a partcular show I don't watch it. I can't understand why a Dr would do that to someone's face? She is trying waaaaaay to hard to look young again and it looks bad. She looks a 'caricature drawing.'

The artist Gilmore on Pretty on the Outside does some great Big Ang work. He's done a couple that people have even used them as tattoos. ugh, I know...

eta: Scroll down to March 12 and Feb 21 & 28 and Jan 15 & 17.
