Hairstylist to the stars, Kim Kimble (most famous for being Beyonce's hairstylist), has a new reality show about her salon, working relationships and most importantly her famous clients. Here is a description of her show from a WeTv interview:

L.A. Hair is about my salon, Kimble Hair Studio in Los Angeles. My mom works there with me — it’s about our working and personal relationship. There are also five other stylists and we all have personalities, so there’s a little drama. You’ll get to see me work with my celebrity clients on location at different events — music videos, movies.

The first episode was okay. Of course it was heavily scripted, but I do enjoy seeing them work on hair. Plus, it also lets me see exactly what is goin on with certain celebrities hair that we normally cannot see.

That Angela chick really needs to fall the hell back and quit thinking she's the salon's owner.

I didn't make it through the whole show, so it definitely won't be must-see TV for me. Angela got on my last good nerve. 25 years old and think she knows it ALL. Chile, please.

I watched. Yawn. I was looking forward to it because I thought it might be like Ellin Lavar's old reality show, but this was some heavily scripted mess. I don't know why Angela is okay with coming off rude, entitled, and messy on national television. She is 25, and I doubt she has the high-end clientele that Kim has, so she really should be putting her best face forward.

The Kelly Rowland scenes were silly. Kim clearly wanted a celebrity guest because all she did was sew in two tracks and curl the ends of a few locks. Kelly's hair after looked exactly as it did before.

Also, based on what my friends told me, the salon shown last night is not the one they frequent. IDK if Kim has more than one salon, but based on what I found on yelp, it seems like she only has the West Hollywood one. The salon in the pictures on yelp are VERY different than what was shown last night. I wonder if Kim has has one studio for filming, and keeps her real one for real clients.

I am looking forward to seeing how they worked with the celeb hair and was not impressed with what they did with Kelly's hair. Seemed like it was more about Kelly's shoot than styling her hair. Of course we have to have the person who brings over the top drama but they want ratings. This was only the first episode...hopefully this show will pick up in future episodes.

The problem with this first episode is that it seemed like it should have been the second episode. There was a lot left out. I think we need more background on her, the salon and the other stylists. Like i want to know how long she's been in the business, how she started and how she ended up with so many celebrity stylists. I am very interested in her mother's situation. A mother working in her daughter's salon as another stylist is a show of its own. Their relationship kind of reminds me of Neicy Nash and her mother.

It would be funny if Tabitha showed up to take over. Speaking of Tabitha, didn't she have Kim on one of her shows as an advisor when she went to a predominantly Black salon?

lawd - I feel like I'm watching the Elgin Charles show from VH1. I'm waiting for Jacquee to show up and do the 'aww hell nawwhh.'

Also has Kim gained weight? She didn't look as chunky last time I saw her on Tab's show (doing the evaluations for a Black salon).

Yeah, it was just as scripted. But it was alot funnier. And I liked the people. This show is boring and the people are bitches. Kim may be talented but she is not interesting enough to have a show about her.

Ditto. With the kind of shows VH1 have on their network I couldn't understand why this show wasn't renewed.

Watched about 10 minutes and the new girl (can't remember name with the short blonde hair) deserved to be booted out the door the way she treats everyone. She is quite impressed with herself. Another show about people who believe they are entitled. Hope it gets better for those of you who enjoy it.

I've watched all but the last half or so of the most recent episode. This show should be called "L.A. [People Starting Shit and Doing] Hair". If I wasn't bored with what is(n't) on TV in the summer, I wouldn't be watching it. Kim Kimble needs to get a handle on her staff (and herself) in a big way. Staff members should never speak disparagingly about the business or other staff members in front of clients. The owner should never talk to one staff member (and especially not YELL at them) where other staff members can hear.

Is this salon inside a mall? It looks that way from the front door.

It looks like it's in a strip mall or office building. I've been to nicer places here in my home state of NC, and I spend less than $100 on my hair for color, cut and style.

I've given up on this show. I much prefer Style's Chicagolicious. It's scripted most of the time, but it's hilarious and I actually like all of the cast members. That's a rarity.

I gave up on it, too. I mean, styling a muppet's wig? And then engaging in banter with the muppet? And the receptionist behind the desk putting his mascara on with that big Romper Room mirror? No, thanks.

I must say, Kim hooked Brandy's hair up! I don't know if that was a lace front or what, but that's the best she's ever looked.
