At least Twilight only has two nominations this time. I hope they lose both. This Harry Potter's last chance to get some decent awards, although I wouldn't mind if it lost to Hunger Games.

Jennifer Aniston sounds really drunk. Slurring all over the place.

If I was her, I would have also come to this shit show completely hammered too. Kristen Stewart shouldn't be allowed to talk. That is all

Damn Twilight won best movie again. It sucks. I hate it and MTV. I wish they would stop even nominating it.

I thought this year would be better, stupid me.

Fun was the best part. And I'm tired of that song, so that's saying a lot.

Scratch that, Vanilla Ice & the rest of the crowd jamming out to Fun was the best part.

No, no, no the Big Ang meets Snooki commercial was the best part. For sure.

The monologue was just so embarrassing. The promotion for his movie, the clear cringing from Fassbender & Charlize, let alone everyone else in the audience. I get that he said he's childhood friends with Fassbender, but besides the last joke, he didn't look too amused. He's so maniac, rambling, then his abrupt political rantings, his overkill on the Charlie jokes. Just really? How many times has he hosted? Two jokes about Katy Perry in less than five minutes?

I love that Mark seemed ready to cut a bitch, and their banter was hilarious with how clearly embarrassed they were.

I pretty much stopped after that. They need to just stop having this show, it's beyond it's expiration date.

Yeah I'm so ready for the damn franchise to end. I'm sick of them winning with their horrible, horrible movies with their horrible, horrible actors and their awkward, stilted acting, sick of the actors' whole emo, look how cool and hip we are and we don't even shower and let's not even talk about the damn twi-hards (ugh, go away already and try stanning something that's actually good). Just so sick of all if it and I guess MTV sort of tried this year by significantly reducing the number of nominations they got but it still wasn't enough.

I feel like the only reason Twilight keeps winning is because their fans feel the need to justify liking something that everyone knows is so incredibly shitty. So they make themselves feel better by power-voting every fan award they can get their hands on. Too bad it just makes people (including me) hate them even more.

Can't wait for the franchise to disappear, and I hope it takes its actors (minus Anna Kendrick) with it.

The one bright spot was Emma Stone's speech. While I think the idea of giving a trailblazer award to a 23 year old is kind of ridiculous, I loved the thoughts she had to say specifically to the young audience that watches MTV and the movie awards (as shown by the dominance of Twilight and Hunger Games in almost every category). How she stressed being original and embracing your own quirkiness, I loved it. I think she's fully aware of the image she has particularly with teen girls and commend her for it. She's also incredibly good at the stupid banter they write on the teleprompters (take note, Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis!).

I've never taken these awards seriously, but I like watching them for the performers I like (like Emma Stone) give funny or thoughtful speeches. She and Andrew Garfield are adorable - can't wait to watch them on The Tony Awards next week.

I mean, when the fight from The Warrior doesn't win, something's wrong! Same as last year when Inception lost that same category.

I might be totally out of the youth-market loop, so can anyone tell me who that vaguely sour redhead in the floral dress was who they seemed to cut to for a reaction take during everyone's trek to the stand? She had kind of a Jennifer Lawrence look, but it definitely wasn't her (since Lawrence was on tape)... She was prominently shown for sure as Emma Watson walked up to accept, sitting next to a distinguished gray-haired older dude... Who was that? Anyone?

And I'm 42 years old and WAY out of the fashion loop.... that "Corey Feldman in his Jackson years" thing Josh Hutcherson is going for, is that a big hit with the ladies in 2012? Is this kid really a star? He just radiates complete blockheaded nerdiness... Where did he get all this ego and attitude? Girls really like this kid?

That was Ellie Kemper of 'The Office' and also 'Bridesmaids' and '21 Jump Street'.

I like Russell Brand, he makes me laugh. And the Johnny Depp/Black Keys thing was enuf to make up for anything I didn't really care about. He's still dreamy.

Kristin Stewart at least ATTEMPTED to have a personality last nite. I did think it was sort of odd that when her 'mom' from "Panic Room", Jodie Foster, gave the last award, they barely seemed to acknowledge each other.

I actually thought it was cute that nobody would come up on stage to make out with her during her acceptance speech so she just "made out" with herself.

The archery skit, the Batman promo, and Emma Stone's acceptance speech were the only good parts. Even Johnny Depp's award was lame because of Joe Perry and Steven Tyler reading cliched award pleasantries for about half an hour.

I know I should be happy that Hunger Games and Harry Potter got some stuff, but I'm still too pissed about MTV playing favorites with Twilight. In retrospect, I probably should have known better.

But at least Johnny Depp and Emma Stone were great. Glad that they got recognition.

I thought MTV was trying not to play favorites for once. Twilight only got 2 nominations when they usually have one in every category and therefore sweep the awards.

Kristen, Taylor and Robert actually took themselves out of the running in solo categories so that Twilight WOULDN'T overtake the show. Props to them, unfortunately, their fans didn't seem to understand the point and still went crazy voting until they won the other two categories they were in.

I didn't realize people actually "submitted" for the MTV movie awards. I was always under the impression it was behind the scenes negotiations between publicists, movie studies, and MTV over who was nominated. Aren't the celebrities told in advance if they are going to win?

Well, that's still what I said. They told whomever to not put them in the category, so the awards apparently put HG in their spots. But Twilight is still a big draw for these shows so I'm sure they weren't thrilled. HG is still new, and while it has a lot of fans, I'm sure the showrunners weren't thrilled about no Rob this year. That's why I applaud them for putting their foot down.

It's clear who wins based on attendance - like Jen Aniston would go if she didn't win? And probably stipulated to have her award given first so she could hightail it out of there!

I think you may be thinking of Ellie Kemper. She's on The Office, and was in Bridesmaids. I also noticed that reaction shot. I believe it was when Emma was accepting the award for Best Cast, which Bridesmaids was also nominated for.

Also, RE: Worst Moments on the homepage. That was Anna Faris in Emma Stone's "tribute" video?!?!?! When she said she was in The House Bunny, I was trying to figure out who she was. It did NOT look like Anna Faris at all to me. Am I crazy in thinking this?

The only good thing I can say is that it wasn't the worst ever. The late 2000s had some of the worst ever VMAs and MTV MOvie Awards. But yeah, it is getting kind of routine. They aren't even trying hard to come up with funny filmed skits.

The Twilight love is getting annoying. I understand it for the first film even if I found it very average, but won;t those fans ever grow up? THe Harry Potter fans grew up and the franchise grew up with the fans.

At least no shilling of reality stars in this show like one of the past shows. No Jersey Shore cast members obnoxiously posing. Or the Kadarshian bitches.

I was thinking about skipping the whole thing after seeing the Perks trailer, but I wanted to see how much of a train wreck this show could be. Boy, it did not let me down. The only good parts of this damn show were:

Emma Stone speech
Johnny Depp playing with the Black Keys
The Dark Knight promo with Gary Oldman, JGL, Christian Bale, and Chris Nolan.

I found it very sad when Christian got choked up when he said Heath's name. Plus, I will always love JGL because he always seems to make out of anything. But, man he really did pack on the muscles.

The show also proved why I love Emma Stone and Jen Lawrence. Really glad to see these two young women leading the way for the future of Hollywood.

MTV has basically become the parent that tries to show their children that their cool by listening to Hip Hop, using the trendy slang, but ends up embracing themselves and the children horribly.

The 2012 MTV Movie Awards scored a 2.8 rating with people age 12-34, and 3.2 million viewers down 29% from last years 4.5 million.

I would hope this would make them realize the show is not good anymore. They will probbaly say Twilight fans chose not to watch cause they didnt have all the wins. I catually feel because of Twilight that many people actually turned away from this show.

I find watching the Scream Awards on Spike more fun.
