I searched through the threads and didn't find one for White Heat. It just started airing on BBC America. Here is the BBC Two link http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b01db8vz and the BBC America link http://www.bbcamerica.com/white-heat/.
The show is pretty good but the music makes it seem way more moody that it really is. So far my favorite characters are Charlotte, Victor and Jay.
I am impressed with the people that they cast to play some of the present day versions of the characters; Lindsay Duncan, Hugh Quarshie and Juliet Stevenson.

I stuck with the whole series and I really wished I hadn't - it was such a waste of time. The premise and cast were amazing but the writing is very poor. Whatever the obvious cliche of the various time periods is, it's in there. One character in particular has some appallingly pointless subplots. And the ending was infuriating. Afterwards I rewatched Our Friends In The North, which has a similar sort of premise but is brilliant, and there is just no comparison.

I bailed after the first episode. Although there were a couple of characters worth caring about, I just got tired of the main guy (can't even remember his name - the one whose father owned the house) ranting about society. I know it was the sixties, but still, shut the f up you arsewipe. Even with the lure of Jeremy Northam, I gave the rest of this one a pass.
