ANTM released the 30 semi-finalists for the College Edition on Facebook. Here they are onRTVGames.

So far I like Briana and Brittany. But, I'll wait until I see them in motion to pass proper judgment.

Actually, never mind. I don't like Darian. She looks 35.

Well, I'm not gonna lie. I'm kinda excited about this.

I like Leila, Delaney (sorta) and Amber. How many plus size are there? Because I see a lot of big hips and thighs, so I don't know. Also, what's up with all those tatoos?

The C19 logo looks something out of Charm School, heh.

Yeah, I'm not liking a lot of those bodies. Proportions are off in many places.

Favorites based on those pictures are definitely Kristin and Brittany.

ETA: Ugh, Kristin is short. Too bad, because I find her smoking in a very conventionally hot way.

Weird discovery of the day: I have mutual friends with Leila on Facebook. Yay New England connections! She's from Framingham, which is pretty near me. She's a fan of Starbucks Frappuccinos, 30 Seconds to Mars, food, and the Patriots. It's really hard to see if she has potential, because every picture that I see of her is either heavily 'shopped or covered in makeup. She doesn't really blow me away.

If the legs were good, I looked at the listed height; if the height was good, I looked at the face. My preliminary list is now Brianna, Brittany, and Savanna.

Which means they won't win but may go on to have brilliant modeling careers if they're careful about keeping ANTM off their resumes.

Just in case anyone's interested I took note of where all the girls fall into place on the polls. I put numbers on the top 14 just in case, by some strange occurance, tptb actually pick the 14 with the most votes to make it into the house, but I'm sure it won't quite go that evenly. I do feel the girls in the 3000 and higher are probably looking at a spot in the house, for better or worse.

I think it's shameful that girls like Allyssa, Tori, and Lauren are doing well while Leila and Andie trail behind. Also, I think this voting is seriously wack. Using facebook is an absolutely terrible idea. You can tell from the comments, especially in Allyssa's case, the only people commenting on her picture are her friends and family, the people on her facebook. This voting isn't going to be about who people think is the best model, but who has the largest amount of friends on facebook which really sucks. Yes, shows like Idol also have families and friends that vote hardcore for their loved ones, but that isn't going to effect the outcome, because there are thousands and thousands of votes that aren't from their social circles. However, Antm does not have that kind of following. Also, a majority of the people who are going to know about this voting process are going to be the friends and family of the contestants and the few fans who caught on to the fact that there is voting happening. In this case, the the family and friends are going to be a huge deciding factor week to week. This was an incredibly dumb decision that tptb made. They clearly overestimated their fan base, hardcore. Further evidence this voting is going to be complete bullshit is the fact that I actually share a mutual friend with Lauren. I noticed he liked the picture (for those of you not fb savvy, when you look at a picture it'll automatically show your friends who like it was well before anyone else) and when I asked him if he ever watched top model he said no, that the only reason he did it was because Lauren had told him too.

I think this cycle is going to suck.

This is what happens when you let the public vote. I'm not getting warm fuzzies from that list. I went through the girls and basically knocked out anyone who was over 21 and under 5'9". That cut the list down to 11 girls. Allyssa and Tori read plus-size so I think one of them would wind-up in the house regardless of whether or not Tyra had the sole say or the public. Lauren has hips and thighs. Laura looks drugged out or possibly someone who's spent a lot of time at the beach. Brittany has a short torso. That leaves Victoria, Ivory, Savanna and Kaci with Leila pretty much being the best of this bunch.

Six of the girls in my list are in the top 14 however, four of them are probably the weakest of that group. Though those four are probably the best best based on the current standings. Not good indeed.

If you click the photos you can watch the most bizarre introduction videos I have ever seen.

Kristin sounds and looks cray-cray, Victoria sounds angry and desperate, Jessie sounds as awkward as expected, and the rest are quite boring. I guess some of them come across fairly well, but the general absurdity of the videos is distracting.

From the pictures I think I like Kritin's the best. Too bad she's short. Jessie looks like Jane sans glasses I thought and that's some unfortunate hair on Victoria. My least favorites were Allysa's and Kiara's (who just looks like Angelea in her picture).

Anyway, I see only two of the girls I really liked made it, Leila and Victoria and Victoria is on a mission to take over the world, mwah, hah, hah... Oy.

I can't at the 22- and 23-year-olds although Kiara is cute. Destiny is cute also and seems to be awfully mellow. Laura is at least tall but is she 21 or 23? There were other tall girls who'd have been better choices than this one. Brittany is cute but her torso-to-leg ratio bugs. Jessie looks good w/o her glasses and Darian is a nonentity. So Tyra seems to have gotten two plus girls in this batch. I figured at least one of them would make it but Tori who was taller probably would have been the better choice over Yvonne who's 5'8".

Maria seems like she could be amusing for Tyra and the panel. I bet Tyra has all sorts of stuff lined up to try and offend her religious sensibilities.

I'm pulling for Leila but I'm not holding out hope she'll even make it overseas.

Is Victoria's Liberty University the same one as the Jerry Falwell one? She did say that she was Jewish, though.

Darian reminds me of C5 Ebony. Kiara looks like Angelea. Jessie looks like Jessica Bush. Yvonne is really pretty. Victoria's picture is by far my favorite, although I dig Nastasia's hair.

This photoshoot ranks somewhere in between the All-Star's reality stars on motorbikes and CoverGirls in space. In other words, it sucks.

Ok, I'm confused. If we get to vote on each photo-shoot, doesn't that mean we'll know who gets eliminated each week months in advance of the air dates?

Or is Tyra keeping them all around for every photo-shoot?

I think we get to vote, Tyra won't let us know who gets eliminated by having all of them do photoshoots, those who got cut do it an another day or at another time than those who are still in the competition.

I don't think Tyra will let all of them do photoshoot. The cost will be too much.
If they all do the photoshoot, I can only imagine the quality will be drag to hell, or we can tell exactly who get eliminated based on the lower quality due to spending less money on ouster.
Another problem, if the ouster outshine those who still in the competition, there will be controversy too, unless that's what they want.

Also, it would be incredibly difficult to have all the girls continue on in the competition while filming them. How would the filming/drama happen if all the girls stayed in the competition?

Like the final 14 voting last time. the result already shows that a few girls are not so popular among facebooker (which is already little considering the fan base is not as big as before after these few latest cycle). but that turns out we don't have a say in final 14. That just a stunt.

I always thought that an ANTM "week" was 5 days instead of 7? That would explain why the timing of the release of these shoots are off. At the rate they're going, the next photoshoot should be up by Friday. I never believed that Tyra and CG would let the general public have total control over who stays and goes.
