Please use this thread to discuss the reunion, what questions were asked, who said smart or stupid things, how people looked, etc.

Use the other thread to talk about the events of the final few days of the competition. Thanks.

I actually usually like Jeff, but I'm shaking my head so hard for him giving Kim 3 seconds of airtime. If a Boston Rob or Russell had played that dominant a game, he'd be slobbering.

Kim was as strategically and physically dominant as both those guys, but with a JT social game. Probably the most flawfree player ever, but Jeff didn't seem very impressed.

Kim, "meh, good win". Now moving on to Matt and Mike!

Maybe everyone was right about his misogyny.

Props to America for voting for Kim though!

Pretty good reunion. Way too much time on Colton but I loved how Probst interrogated him and didn't let up. That's what was missing during the Nicaragua reunion with Na-Onka and some of the Russell reunions. Alicia sort of broke herself down so there was no further need to spend any time on that. Most everyone that actually had an impact on the game had time to speak, which is rare. Wayyy too much time on the audience interviews pertaining to Colton but I wanted to hear from Tarzan's wife so I was glad that happened at least.

I'm totally fine without hearing anything from Nina, Christina, Lief, and the girl that went out first. I would have liked to hear more from Jay, Monica, and Sabrina though. I'm excited for the preview even though it's already been confirmed who is returning (for the spoiler crowd)

Please. Both Jay and Chelsea's questions were about Kim. She got plenty of recognition for her dominance. If anything, they were the ones that were jobbed on screemtime, as well as Sabrina.

Yay someplace new! Not dramatically different or super interesting, but at least it's not Samoa AGAIN.

And Jeff sucks. From botching questions to his usual focus on assholes (and men).

Please tell me they're not bringing back Colton on the next season. I will NOT be watching if they do. And Kim played an excellent game and barely got any screen time.....WTH? I think Colton's mom got more time than she did.

Colton Cumbie does not have a heart. I don't care how much he confesses his sins on camera, I don't care if his mother vouches him not being a tenth of a jackass he was on the show . . . he's still a jagoff. And Probst cannot convince me otherwise.

I made my predictions for the reunion a few days ago. I wound up getting a lot of it wrong. For one, Probst went to Colton immediately. Troy didn't get his own segment. I was right about Tarzan and Kat getting linked up, but I goofed on Monica and Jonas getting ignored. All I remember was that Kourtney and Nina got shut out . . . and seeing how Kourtney was the other person hurt in the game and eligible for next season's big twist (in theory, anyway), Probst sucks for that. Also, it's funny how Probst went to Matt about Colton's little putsch, not remembering he got voted off before Bill. Does Probst even watch his own damn show?

The MVP of the reunion? Bill's Jheri Curl hair. Also liked how Colton and Monica got swapped . . . it's a reverse of Richard and Sue from S8, where they stuck Rob C. between them and hoped for the best. Thank goodness Colton doesn't smoke . . . Bill would've lit up like a candle.

Did anybody else think Alicia maced herself before getting interviewed? Didn't buy her tears at all.

ETA before bed . . . shut the hell up, Blossom. Seriously.

I love how Colton's mother had to tell him that he was not answering properly. Clearly he had been prepped to be more contrite and mention that he has not always been excepted and he really is not evil. Clearly he decided he prefers to be the villain and not appear humbled or contrite. I was annoyed that they jumped to the two people who said they wanted to see him play again and ignored Bill who clearly had more to say. Colton did nothing to redeem himself.

Alicia appeared to be honestly sorry about her idiotic comment. She even hugged Christina. On some level, Alicia got that she looked like an ass on the show and understood that there could be ramifications for her behavior. Which is an improvement over Naonka and Colton.

The whole Colton sequence really seemed like, "We're bringing back this asshole! Get psyched, America!" Especially with Blossom and "random fan" pulled out and reciting their lines from corporate, "Colton has lots of good qualities! I would love to watch him again! Don't kill my family, CBS!" If he comes back I won't watch. I love Survivor, but I'm not rewarding that, Burnett.

Probst was kind of amazingly bad tonight, stumbling over his lines, mixing up Matt and Mike (or whatever that was), basically ignoring Kim, giving Colton the limelight he craves. I liked this season (once Colton left), I loved the FTC and the winner, but the reunion was terrible.

Did anyone else find Troy to be even more delusional than Alicia when he was talking about how people had told him he played the best game and that he'd been compared to Hatch? I loved that Jeff called him on it by pointing out that Troy got outplayed by others including Kim and then when Troy said he got "outplayed and outdumbed (????)" Jeff just kind of shut him down. I also loved the look on Troy's face when Kim took Sprint player of the year - I loved it so much I replayed that part at least five times:)

The last couple eps plus the reunion reinforced my season-long love of Kim, my mostly season-long love of Sab and Chels, and it gave me an appreciation for Kat and Tarzan.

What the hell was up with Bill channeling El DeBarge dressed up like Prince, er, I mean The Artist Formerly Known As...? Somehow I don't think that was supposed to be part of the comedy act.

I'm very disappointed that no one pointed out to Colton that his "get a real job" jab at Bill was rich coming from a trust-baby who has never worked a day in his life. Likewise, his comment about being a Republican, so he didn't believe in handouts. Umm, what would you call that HII handed to you by Sabrina?

Leif seemed really hurt by the "OOMPA LOOMPA" comment by Colton. I did not buy ONE SECOND of Colton's mass "apology", and somewhat forcing (IMHO) his mom to make a real apology.....I felt really sorry for her to be put on the spot like that.

Alicia was only sorry she got caught. I'm a Special Education teacher and I would never say anything derogatory about my students because I have respect for them as human beings. I don't buy those fake tears. Did anyone else notice how quickly they turned on and off?

"The Philippines!" "Injured former players to return."

Whatever.

If Colton comes back, they better bring back Kourtney who broke her hand in the first episode and didn't return either. Fair is fair.

Bill, Prince called. He wants his Purple Rain outfit back. I guess he does impersonations between his comic gigs.

Alicia? Boo freakin' hoo to you.

I love how Colton's mother's answer was "Colton shouldn't talk like that." Apparently it's okay to think those racist, bigoted things. Just don't say them on camera. Ultimately, I was glad to hear Jeff point out the difference between a "villain" and just a plain asshole.

Same deal with Alicia. Saying you "crossed a line" basically means "I shouldn't have said that". She didn't explain why she equates people that she perceives as being "stupid" and "clueless" or useless with the children who are placed in her care.

I did love how the first two mentions of Colton were by people explaining how they were using him. That sort of pre-empted any attempt by him to claim he was running the game. I didn't like how much time they spent on him, or what that portends for the future.

What a boring ass reunion. I guess you can't make something out of nothing since this season was just as boring. Why didn't Jeff ask those knuckleheads why they gave Kim a free pass to the end? Any fool could see she would win. Why in god's name didn't they even try to flush out her idol? These are the kinds of questions I would want to see asked during the reunion. Who gives a crap what Blossom has to say?

Bill...you know you lost major credibility by coming out looking like a fool, right? Like it wasn't offensive enough to have Colton's disgusting and bigoted comments treated like a cute little quirky thing he did this season. I can't believe Kat came across as the only self-aware person on that stage. I wonder who coached her to give that answer. She might have pulled two surprisingly coherent speeches out of her ass tonight but nothing will ever convince me that she isn't dumber than a box of hair.

The only satisfying moment was seeing Alicia break down over her insensitive comments regarding special needs students. Perhaps they were fake but it as better than having her coo at the camera like Colton. Christina had to go and ruin it by giving her a hug. I'm convinced that Christina has very little understanding of what is going on at any given moment.

If Jeffy-Pop gets another Emmy after making that name blunder, he's blackmailing or bribing the voters, or fixing the system. He should be *ASHAMED* of himself for dragging Colton's mother through the wringer on national television on Mother's Day. Just twist that rusty knife into an already emotionally fragile woman. That's almost as bad as what Colton said and did. Just... Damn. Then he goes after Tarzan's wife to see if she's ever lied to him. Jeff, you're turning into a bigger ass than Colton. I was not on the Probst hate parade until this season. Now I can't stand him.

Did Troyzan bother to clean up after leaving the island? And Bill, dude, that look went out with Prince and Michael Jackson in the 80's.

I thought that was Mayim Bialik from Big Bang Theory in the audience, but wasn't for certain until Jeffy interviewed her. No, they're not cross-promoting other CBS shows, are they David Letterman? *eye roll*

And damn Survivor for bringing back previous players next year, though it's only a little less painful that it's medivaced players and not "favorite" players. Unfortunately, that probably means KKKolton again, though I wouldn't mind Mike. I will *NEVER* be in favor of mixing experienced players with unexperienced ones, as the experienced players have a tendency to run all over the unexperienced ones, going all the way back to Stephanie and Bobby John. It should either be all newbs, or all returning players; never a mixture. Thanks for ruining the 25th season in advance, Survivor.

Because she wasn't a hunky guy.

As I expected, the finale turned into the "Let's tell everybody what a wonderful person Colton is" show.

so Alicia apologized for her comments about Christina being special needs, but nobody asks her about the making Asian eyes with Colton and making fun of her behind her back?

I had to laugh when Probst said that they're going to bring back contestants who paid the ultimate price. Um, no, the ultimate price would have been that they died.

Most boring season of Survivor ever.

Alicia was let off the hook too easily. It wasn't just one remark. she made several mean remarks and it was not just inthe context of the game. It was for the entire show run. At least Colton, as vile as he is, at least admitted he had to cringe when watching himself. Alicia acted like it was a one time thing. And Christina just pissed me off. Such a sad sack loser. And then acting like her being low key was a "strategy". She couldn't win a single challenge when it mattered. Even on the final challenge where she was close at the end, you could see her wilt when it mattered. She should also have told Alicia to get lost.

The finale & reunion was okay at best. As mentioned, I'm a little surprised at how Kat actually moved on. Really, she shot herself in the foot, so the fact that she realized it, understood that Survivor is just a game show and that there were more important things in life, and voted the right way pretty much has me "forgiving" her for everything on the show. It was fun to laugh at her character, but I'm sure she's pretty cool in real life.

Other than that, just typical reunion stuff. Kim getting about 10% of talking time, and Colton, Tarzan, and Jeff's references to Russell each getting about 30% was no surprise. Kim winning the Survivor MVP is fair enough. She did play an awesome game, and while it was against okay players at best (compared to Parvati & Cirie in past years who played awesome games against better players), I really don't see who else could have won the award this year.

So, Colton gets "medivac'd" out for what was reported/suspected to have been a misdiagnosis of appendicitis.

Colton gets an entire segment on the Reunion.

And yet, his medical evacuation is not mentioned once. Not even a "how are you feeling now" throw-away question.

Then we learn that next season will include returning players who were medivac'd out.

There's enough Knollery there to bring Arlen Specter out of retirement to look for more magic bullets.

I believed her, and was just fine with how she behaved at the reunion. I did not believe Colton even a little. I also hated the repeated insistence that the show was "boring" after he left. I thought the show just got started when he left.

Did anyone else find Troy to be even more delusional than Alicia when he was talking about how people had told him he played the best game and that he'd been compared to Hatch? I found him the most delusional person over the entire 3 hours. Delusional, self-important, bitter, petty little man. I missed the announcement of the fan favorite award, but I'd heard that Kim got it. Would have paid to see the look on Troy's face.

Why in god's name didn't they even try to flush out her idol?

Several of them have stated that they didn't even know she had it. Maybe they didn't try to flush it out because she was smart enough to keep her ace in the hole under wraps. Which is just another reason she's awesome.

I though everyone came across well, except for Colton...and Blossom. As always, I would have liked more strategy discussion. In particular, it would have been nice to hear what Troyzan was thinking with his question to Kim at the final tribal council and why he thought she was wrong. Also, I would have liked to have heard if Chelsea thought her strategy of following Kim's every move gave her any chance of winning.

Okay, so next season features Colton, who, and who returning? Because, 30 minutes of the reunion show wasted up that ass's hole was quite the advertisement for "Survivor: Philippines". Really, Jeff, really?

Bill looked pissed most of the time, and I don't blame him - you'd think his only reason for existing was to be a foil to Colton. I'm so angry at how Jeff treated that issue, Bill rose his hand to speak at one point and was ignored so that we could hear Colton's mom's defense. Availing to what? "People did say the show got boring after I left (followed by obscene tongue-to-lip action)" Your mom's embarrassing herself on national TV on your behalf, jerk-off, at least pretend to be taking that in. Thank you, Mike, for saying what wasn't shown - you and Jay were adamantly opposed to going along with Bill's ouster. I really respect you for that.

I wonder if Troy has a little some'in going on with Kat, the way they were interacting seemed pretty intimate. I liked Jay better with scruffy hair. Chelsea looked so much like Leanne Rimes to me, and I personally think Kim went a little too dark in hair color, but she looked amazing and so did Sabrina - actually, all the women did, but I found Sabrina and Christina to be the most stunning. Unfortunately, Christina is as dumb as she came across on the island. Leif's wife!!

Mayim Bialik doesn't need to be consulted when it comes to "Survivor", Jeff. Neither does Terry Bradshaw, little girl who idolizes Ozzy, or anyone else WHO HAS NEVER PLAYED THE GAME. Can we just abandon the "ask the audience" shtick altogether, unless Yul's in attendance?

[small voice] I kind of wanted Troy to win Fan Favorite.[/small voice]

Matt's facial expression summed it up best for me. A terrible end to a great season. Worst reunion show, imo, after the year that Rosie O'Donnell hosted.

I don't understand what is so special about Tarzan's relationship with his wife. It seems like a loving marriage, but nothing rare.

Colton should be embarrassed. I can't believe his mother was out there apologizing for him like he was a two-year-old who got caught sticking his tongue out.

Jeff used to do a much better job at the reunions, giving each player a word. I really much rather hear from the nicer, more interesting players than Colton. Yea, a few minutes on him would've been warranted, but the entire time coming back from commercial, to the point where it went back to commercial, was dedicated to him. He better not be coming back for the next season. Kourtney deserves to be brought back more than he does - she didn't even get a chance to play the game. I'm hoping for Penner, but I'd understand if he didn't, since he already had two shots. Is Kourtney the only female medivacced? I can't recall any others. I swear to God if James shows up...

Really happy that Kim won and I thought Jeff spent enough time on her. Happy to see her take the 100K, although I wish Kat or Sabrina took it home instead, since she got the million, but better Kim than the Cavemen wannabes. Didn't realize viewers responded well to them, since I found them pretty unlikable myself.

More time should've been spent on the castaways and not random audience members, especially Colton's mother, who you could tell was embarrassed enough by all this. Glad Alicia had remorse for what she said - that made up for it to me, I thought she was sincere, and hopefully by watching herself, she grew as a person.

Next season looks good, silly twist and chance of Colton again aside.
