Haven't seen a topic created for this show, so I thought I'd start one, especially since four episodes have aired.

I'm a sucker for shows about bad drivers, as I got my license in my 30's after failing driver's ed in high school and relying on public transportation until I moved to the suburbs. So one thing I like about this show is the drivers explaining their reasons for wanting to get their licenses, especially in New York where having a car isn't a necessity. I also enjoy seeing the actual road tests with the results as they happen. I could do without the cutesy cartoons as they're annoying.

I can see why Sven, Pete, and Carlos have to be no-nonsense instructors considering the students they deal with. I couldn't believe Sabina "I love the gas!" taking her road test after TWO lessons, and delighted in watching her fail. Having failed the first time I took my road test (still can't parallel park) I empathize with a lot of the drivers who fail, but I have no sympathy for people who want justification for their bad habits.

I felt badly for the woman (Theresa?) who saw the accident while she was with Pete. Glad no one was injured, but for a student driver to witness that has to shake your confidence.

And the shirtless homeless guy walking into the office asking for a job...awesome!

It's on A&E Saturdays at 10 and 10:30PM, and I hope it sticks around for a while.

I liked this show too. Thanks for the reminder about when it's on; it's one of those shows you can easily miss. I didn't drive until I was in my mid-50's. I'm an East Coast person and just never needed to drive until I moved to the Midwest. It's an interesting show, but I don't like how they 'surprise' students when they take them on the highway. OK, I'm still not a highway driver, but I think students are rightly freaked out when they realize they are going on the highway.
