Very cute chimps, as expected. Also some beautiful cinematography, particularly during the thunderstorm and some night scenes with glowing plants/fungi. There's a scene where the chimps hunt some colobus monkeys for meat, but of course edited so you can't see the actual killing and eating. Similarly, you don't see the death of Oscar's mother (or even her injuries from a battle with another group of chimps); it's just narrated and explained that she's never coming back. Tim Allen is an okay narrator. Some kids were disgusted by scenes of the chimps eating ants and bugs, but this varied. There was a great song at the end, then some clips of the filmmakers during the credits.
