Not just you. I remember her from a short-lived series on NBC called Mercy, and thought she was in her mid-to-late 30s. So when I saw the trailer for this movie, I thought, "Oh, a May/December Nicholas Sparks romance? That's new..." and went on about my business. My niece actually set me straight, and I still have trouble believing it.I'm not about to see this movie, but does anyone else think Taylor Schilling looks a good ten years older than Zac Efron?

I watched that show because someone I know was on it, and I thought the same thing - she was like 23 when she was on that show, which I NEVER would have guessed. She has the Armie Hammer thing happening.I remember her from a short-lived series on NBC called Mercy, and thought she was in her mid-to-late 30s.

It practically put me to sleep. Too much bland prettiness, not enough conflict. But my mom liked it!

Am I the only one who didn't quite hate Keith? Granted, he was an asshole at first, but he seemed genuinely moved/impressed with his son's violin playing, and by the time he mentioned the photo to Taylor, he also seemed genuinely concerned that Zac might be some kind of a stalker. To top it off, he seemed to have quite a Heel Realization towards the end--and gave his life for his son.

And Keith looked older than she did...was she 15 when she got pregnant by him? Yes, she looked way older than ZE, who was HOT. She looked a lot older especially in the scene when she was freaking out about her brother being dead. That acting choice somehow didn't ring true.I'm not about to see this movie, but does anyone else think Taylor Schilling looks a good ten years older than Zac Efron? IRL she's only three years older than he is, but to me she looks considerably older.
Keith was so jealous of Logan - for being the man he couldn't be. Yeah, I thought he realized that he had been a heel, and could never measure up to Logan.
I thought the crisis would be Blythe Danner having another stroke. Why would they let Ben have a treehouse like that?
I've never read of watched any other Nicholas Sparks book. It wasn't hideous, but they didn't really seem to connect. I cried over Wall-E, but I didn't over this.

What about the lack of honesty that led to all his problems? The guy didn't have one bad quality!
