Ha! Bye Sherri! I guess I shouldn't be so happy, but I am.

I was so happy that Katherine was safe – that’s all that really mattered to me this week.

Was hoping to see William or Jaleel go home tonight, but between Roshon and Sherri I was okay with Sherri going. I don’t know why it was such a ‘shock’, since she had the second lowest score of the night.

Okay, I know Sherri is crazy and annoying, but a small part of me felt sorry for her because she obviously loves this show so much. I must be turning into a softy.

Gavin's growing on me. Now I feel mildly guilty for wishing he had left instead of Jack last week, and was happy that he didn't have to sweat out the red lights o' doom for once.

Melissa and Maks being announced as safe was the least suspenseful announcement ever. Melissa wasn't going to be eliminated when she wasn't even there.

So I wasn't gifted with my desired bottom two of Katherine vs William, but at least this leaves open the possibility for a Katherine/William dance-off starting next week! Gotta look on the bright side.

Shocker... er, not.

I do feel a little bad for her. Not bad enough to want her to stay, of course.

Hee hee hee! So happy that Sherri is gone. It wasn't that shocking. She did have the 2nd lowest judge's scores. I guess the producers were shocked.

I was happy to see Kyle and Lacey and Dmitry (and did I spy Ryan de Lillo and Anya there too?), but Hip Hip, Chin Chin belongs to SYTYCD and to Lacey Schwimmer and Danny Tidwell.

Even with the video and the slo-mo, I still didn't see where Melissa hit her head hard enough for her to get a concussion and have to be hospitalized.

It was surprising to me that Roshon and Chelsie were in the bottom, but the show treated it like Sherri being in the bottom (and eliminated) was the shocking part. Carrie Ann, stop crying. You'd be crying more if William was in her spot.

Sherri leaving wasn't that shocking. I thought she'd go a few more weeks, that's it.

I was more shocked at Roshon in the bottom. He must have a really small fan base to have been brought down that low.

Color me surprised (and happy!) that Katherine not only was safe, but escaped the bottom 2. Maybe her fan base is a bit bigger than we imagined?

I pretty much just spent the entire hour saying to myself 'Please, don't let it be Katherine. Anyone but Katherine, pleeeeeease.'

So I'm satisfied. I don't hate Sherri, so I do feel a bit bad for her. But not enough to want her to stick around.

Soooooo...this means Val in every pro number the rest of the season, right?

ETA:

and was it a crazed vision I had after Gavin and Karina were announced as safe, or did Maks and Karina hug?

Time (and concussed partners) heals all wounds?

Aw, poor Sherri. She did not deserve to go tonight. There are quite a few others who should have been out of there before her. IMO, if Melissa could not show up, she should have been eliminated.

But thank heavens Katherine and Mark are safe.

That was pretty anti-climatic, I'm not even remotely surprised that Sherri was eliminated. I would have been really annoyed if Roshon had left before her.

Am glad that Gavin stayed (I know he's not the best dancer but I like him), and was it a crazed vision I had after Gavin and Karina were announced as safe, or did Maks and Karina hug?

Damn you Sherri Shepherd for making me tear up a bit. If only she had toned down the OTT antics in previous weeks I might care more that she is gone. Actually, I was really hoping for an Urkel boot, but as long as it wasn't one of my faves it's good.

Who was Dmitry dancing with during the DWTS: LIVE in Las Vegas dance?

Gladys looking at that tongue was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. You could tell she was... intrigued.

It's official: I have Maria's Latest Injury Report fatigue.

...and was it a crazed vision I had after Gavin and Karina were announced as safe, or did Maks and Karina hug?

If you were having crazed visions, so was I. About fell out of my chair at that one. I am glad to see they've both matured enough to be civil to one another. Or at least fake it while on camera.

Of the couples who hit the red light, Sherri was definitely the right choice to leave, but I must be turning into a softy as well because I felt bad for her too. Not bad enough to want to see her dance again, but bad. And her closing speech was very nice.

Karina and Anna should dance every results show, IMO. Though I thought Karina was surprisingly shaky a few moments in her tango.

Lacey finally returned to brunette, and she looks so much better for it. Kyle looked good, too, though it was hard to really pick out individual dancers in that Vegas showcase.

It's almost painful how Brooke tries to sound sincere and sympathetic when 'comforting' the eliminated couple. It's not in her programming.

This isn't usually one of the shows that I bother to comment on after watching...but something in Sherri's goodbye speech got to me. I don't know. There was such sincerity in her sorrow. She really invested (or reclaimed or sacrificed) something of her identity into competing on this show. For that reason alone, I'm sorry to see her go.

Honestly, even though I have a crush on Sheryl, I wouldn't have objected to seeing William go.

Initially, I was as well. But then again, Sabrina was eliminated in S5 way earlier than expected, I think that... kid Julianne Hough once had only lasted as long as he did because of her and not him and Chelsie Kane was tied with Hines, then came in third. I think if a Disney kid makes it far, it's more due to scores than popularity.

Yay! Now, how great is THAT? I'm doubly happy because I have chosen to not watch The Spew and won't watch anything with Sherri on it (and Hasselbitch, and Baba Wawa) and I resent having that idiot on one of my favorite shows. Now that she is gone, I can resume watching DWTS faithfully!

I'm just happy that Gladys is still there and most of the rest of them.

Edited to remove unnecessary nasty comments. They might have been heartfelt but they were just not nice and my mama always taught me that if I don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. I, obviously, can't adhere completely to her words but at least I removed the most offensive of mine! Sorry folks.

I was THISCLOSE to my DREAM BOTTOM TWO of Roshon and William!! One, because he's too young and annoying, and the other because he's coddled, overscored, and had the worst dance of the night and actually DESERVED to be in jeopardy. Actually, Jaleel and William would have been even better. Because Jaleel is a douchebag who treats women like shit. Poor Kym. She couldn't put on the brave face both nights. Tonight, she looked like she couldn't stand him.

Dear Bruno, please stop scoring William with your schlong. Seriously. STOP.

Awwww. I wanted to look at Val a couple weeks longer. :( I don't care about Sherri all that much, but I find Val to be tastier than William. Sue me.

Enjoyed tonight's result show.

So relieved for Gladys and Tristan to get the positive results, earlier on. For this, 'thank-you' DWTS producers.

It was a privilege to watch Karina and Jose Carreno dancing to Gotan Project (really admire this band). Karina has such amazing control of her body that I think she must be part contortionist (lol).

Also wonderful to see that Karina and Maks have finally 'smoked the peace pipe'. Yay!

Maybe I'm just seeing things, but it seems as though Kym is being a little passive aggressive in response to Jaleel lately. I'm kind of digging it.

I was pretty disgusted with Donald and Peta for their over the top reactions to being called safe because I think that's insensitive to the other couples who may be in jeopardy. Then I realized that they were doing it to Sherri Shepherd, the queen of inappropriate reactions, and it was all good. Suck it, Sherri. I have seldom been this happy to see someone eliminated.

I agree with the posters who noticed that Kym wasn't pretending quite as hard not to hate Jaleel tonight. I think she may have told him to sit down and shut up while Brooke was interviewing another couple. His opinion of himself is way off the charts. He can go home next.

I am amazed at how much I am liking Gavin more and more every week. How gallant of him to carry Melissa down the stairs. I find gentlemen to be extremely attractive. (See MacManus, Tristan.)

Other than Dmitry, I was not impressed with the Las Vegas show. I really don't like Lacey at all, and I didn't know any of the other pro dancers.

So happy that Gladys and Tristan are safe.

Happy that Gladys and Katherine got to stay. Sad about Sherri, as she's really fun to watch on the dance floor. But she didn't do a good job last night, and didn't get the votes. It's the way the cookie crumbles. It's showbiz.

ETA that William isn't even on my radar at all. He'll go next.

I guess the Lord does work in mysterious ways. I thought she'd be around at least to the final five or six. If she had not come across so desperate she might have stayed.

Now Val will be all over the pro dances again, presumably.

I was happy to see Kyle and Lacey and Dmitry (and did I spy Ryan de Lillo and Anya there too?), but Hip Hip, Chin Chin belongs to SYTYCD and to Lacey Schwimmer and Danny Tidwell.

I would say it belongs to Yulia and Max.

If Rock Week can guarantee that it will get rid of the most annoying contestant every time I will gladly tolerate it every season.

Really glad that Gavin got to stay and didn't hit the dreaded Red Light for a third straight time. And how sweet of him to carry Melissa. (Though I did think, 'We have all these big, muscular pro dancers around and Gavin has to be the one to carry her?' Though, to be fair, it sounds like Maks has his own injuries.)

On the same note: Can you imagine being Melissa, lying there with a concussion, and looking up and seeing Gene Simmons standing over you in full KISS makeup? I'm pretty sure I would think I was hallucinating.

Best part of the Vegas show: Dmitry (and bonus Anya!) and Kyle and Sabrina looking like they are having a blast. Honorable mention for Joey Fatone for flying in just to see them perform.

Worst part: Lacey's incessant mugging. And her hair.

Soooooo...this means Val in every pro number the rest of the season, right?

Maybe they will ship him off to Vegas?

Who was Dmitry dancing with during the DWTS: LIVE in Las Vegas dance?

Pretty sure it was Anya, of Anya and Pasha.
