The Pauly D Project is the first Jersey Shore spin-off, which premiered on March 29th on MTV.

Series Synopsis:
The "Pauly D Project" will give viewers an inside look at Pauly D's life away from Seaside Heights, NJ, as cameras document his transition from world-famous housemate to world-class DJ with his best friends from his home state of Rhode Island along for the ride. While the 12-episode series retains the trademark humor, swagger and distinctive haircut that fans associate with Pauly D from "Jersey Shore," it's not always all girls, good times and good music. Aiming to become one of the world's most successful and recognized names in the music industry, viewers will get to see Pauly D chase his dream as he signs a recording contract with rap icon 50 Cent's G-Note Records, accompanies pop icon Britney Spears on her international "Femme Fatale" tour and tries to balance it all with the array of photo shoots, public appearances and media interviews that are now a part of his everyday life.

America knows Pauly D has seven friends for life from the "Shore" house but what they don't know is that while his star has risen, he's brought along his friends who were by his side back when he was a struggling DJ and not yet a part of TV's #1 show. Set to take the music world by storm, the stakes for Pauly D have never been higher. Fame isn't easy -- but with his boys for life along for the ride to the top with him, it is sure to be a lot more fun.

I don't know how I ended up watching the whole episode, it was dull, boring, ho hum, uninteresting, <insert another way to say boring here>.

I only made this thread so I could point that out. Also, if you weren't sick of "Yeah Buddy!" after several seasons of Jersey Shore, that'll change when you've watched the episode.

Oh, this is happening? I remember hearing about it a while ago but didn't realize it was actually on the schedule. I'll have to catch a rerun. Pauly is the only person from JS who hasn't completely lost my interest.

There were 24 "Yeah Buddy!"s in the episode. 16 of which were in the first nine minutes.

There were only 20 if you exclude the "This season on..." montage.

This show was so bad. Made me wonder if Pauly D brought his typical catch phrases to Jersey Shore, or if he brought his Jersey Shore phrases to this show. I suspect the latter.

It seems overly re-enacted to me. At least the non-DJ segments, obviously. I think this show is a hard sell because not that many people are into DJ's and clubbing. I'm glad Pauly is pretty successful but the show can't hold my attention for more than an episode or two. IMO it would have been better as a 1 or 2 hour special focusing on the top moments. The Palms is hurting, so it doesn't shock me they tried to tie in yet ANOTHER reality show to its name.

Pauly kinda sucks: he is dull, predictable and needs to grow up but I found "Biggie" to be endearing, I'll watch at least 1 more episode because of him.

That was one of the worst premiers I've ever seen -- actually I didn't even see the whole thing because I had to turn it off after 15 minutes.

Did anyone notice that at the 6 months later point one of Pauly's entourage, not Biggie but the other bigger guy, appeared to have lost a significant amount of weight?

Biggie and his girlfriend are interesting in a freak flag way. She's tiny and very cute.

I'd actually watch it for his friends, they're a lot more likable than Vinny, The Situation or Ronnie. Pauly is only alright in very, very small doses.

Major financial issues. The Maloofs now only own a 2% share and it seems they are desperately going the ALL REALITY TV route for publicity. It's been on the Vegas 'deathwatch' for a while now. The Palms isn't on the strip so unless they advertise and spend money to try to bring in clients they don't see the day-to-day clientele the Strip casinos/hotels see.

Wow. I had no idea. Also didn't know that the Palms is outside of the other madness.

I thought the second episode was much better because it was less staged, I guess. However, it feels as if it's 50/50 with interviews and action. Just me?

Also, I need even more subtitles than they provide.

Saw the pilot and all I could think is I could do without hearing "yeah buddy" ever again. Every other word was that.

Sorry Pauly, it appears no one is watching.

Pauly has NO GAME. I was cringing listening to the conversation he had with the short haired girl. It was like something straight out of 5th grade. I also loved her craptastic ploy: "I'm a good girl....I'm not like other girls". Two seconds later, she's in his bed.

Jeremy's my favorite. He's lost weight and isn't used to getting any attention from girls. In the episode before this one when that girl asked for a kiss, he was so giddy. He just seems really sweet. Hope this all doesn't go to his head.

I tried to watch this since Pauly used to be my favorite in the beginning of Jersey Shore. I was thinking maybe he would be more interesting or less douchebaggy than he has become on that show being around his real friends. It's very boring and by the 10,000th Yeah Buddy I was done.

Is the show still on? I can't believe it only has two pages. Goes to show that JS is pretty much done. The kids, I hope, have invested their money, because it looks like they'll be jobless soon and needing to get a real job that makes real money. So I hope they haven't blown through their MTV money yet.

Yes. But it remains incredibly boring & dull. Even "Problem Drunk Friend" is too predictable.

No. I wouldn't define this as guilty pleasure TV. It's just a close knit group of friends rallying together to support in various capacities their friend whose DJ star is on the rise (his reality TV star is already risen, but I guess being known for DJ stuff is what matters to him. IDK).

So I realized today that I forgot about this show for about a month. I guess I'm not the only one? Playing catch up today, I realized I hadn't missed anything at all. Ryan's still an annoying ass who seems to think he's more important than he is, Pauly still says "Yeah, buddy!" all the time, & the two chunky dudes try to keep things from getting out of control. Oh, one thing I did like: Biggie picking out a ring for his girlfriend, MJ; and the ensuing awkward conversation when he asked her parents for permission to propose.

This was so boring. I blame editing as well. I think aside from boring "characters", this show's problem was also the fact that it put, what, a year? into these 22 minute episodes? How is one supposed to care?

Even if people don't like Snooki and JWOWW, chances are their show will still be better because at least their shooting schedule was the same as JS. Although the first episode will be partly staged again because originally, a pilot was shot months before and that plotline changed.

With TPDP, there was just nothing interesting. Is he gonna get the gig? Fans of Pauly D knew all that before. But Ryan being an ass when he's drunk actually made me watch more than two episodes (although I have not been able to watch the last 3 or 4).

You didn't miss anything. Best part of the whole series was Biggie proposing to his girlfriend. Otherwise, what info didn't we already know about Pauly D? & I can live with never seeing Ryan on TV ever again.
