Hah, nice work JazzieCazzie I was wondering if one of the long-time posters would get that one.

I never thought I'd say this... but Tommy Hillfingers makes me long for days of having Kojo as "style guru".

Apparently, nobody used Hilfiger's stuff according to Idol stylist Soyon An.

Diddy's idea to have Phillip dance with female back-up singers was Diddy.

Wait, what? I must have missed this, that's hilarious.

By stuff, you mean 'ideas'? Because I don't remember seeing him with merchandise, other than the tux (Joshua).

I think I remember there being racks of clothes there... but wow, what a great addition to the show he turned out to be!!

At least some of the stuff on those racks must have been the contestants- that's where P2 had his infamous 'vote losing' grey shirt. And I know that Skylar's hideous grey printed bustle-skirt thing was on the rack.

He had to have some of his merchandise there, right? He can't just be there as adviser/stylist without shilling his stuff, since they already have a resident stylist.

Each person picked some stuff or were handed some things by him to hold and look at during the discussion but very few people wore what they handled.

Wouldn't the Hilfigger stuff work much better on the results night? It's a night that needs more filler and they can interview them after the performance explaining their choices. Why they listened and why they ignored. I would rather they talk about their musical choices on performance night.

Can I vote for neither night with Hilfiger? I know he's big stuff in the fashion world, but I would think anybody with sense could understand that if you put somebody in something that they don't want to wear and aren't comfortable in, they're not going to perform their best. I'm not saying it would have killed P2 to wear red or something, but I think Hilfiger was antagonizing to a few of the kids and they just rebelled as a result. Hilfiger could find a happy medium between his ideas and their ideas and present it better. That said, all of his predictions seemed to be way off and totally flopped in regards to the voting, which I think is pretty sewn-up regardless of how the kids dress.

I find Phil2 incredibly boring, and I've already reconciled myself to his winning the season, because I lived through Lee DeWyze the first time and it wasn't long ago. ~~Bastille

[small voice] I liked Lee DeWyze if only because he reminds me of Mike Green. [/small voice]

This week was a game changer in the competition. I think certain people like Hollie, Deandre, Skylar have taken themselves out as serious contenders for the win, or even the Top 2. Heejun, Erika and Josh never had a chance. ~~ NoteForMyself

Iím not sure what this statement means exactly. Personally, I never thought that any of those you mentioned (Hollie, DeAndre, Skylar) had a real shot of being top three. I figured top three to be Jessica, Philip, and one of Colton or Elsie. I had Skylar as a real dark horse, not sure Idol wants another country winner right now.

Oh I would definitely prefer not to have him around too. I just thought it was terrible to shove him into a performance night that has plenty of stuff already packed into it.

I also found him annoying and almost condescending. Maybe Tim Gunn could have done a better job?

After seeing the outfits so far this year it sounds like a good spot for 'What Not To Wear'.

Yep, same here. I too, find him quite boring and one-note and called him as a one trick pony early on. And nothing's wrong with Lee DeWyze, the world just doesn't need a grubbier, skinnier more Dave Matthews-y version of him. Honestly, singers like P2 are a dime a dozen. Go into any dive bar in America and you'll find a version of Phil with a guitar sitting on a bar stool singing a cover of some Bob Dylan song. He's likable enough and talented I guess, but I just don't see anything special about him. At all. That being said. I've resigned myself for his inevitable win.

And there are plenty of people who'd much rather listen to singers like him than over-the-top ballad singers who have to try and fit 10 notes in a space originally designed for half that number. It's not necessarily about technical perfection for us. To each their own. We all know Idol isn't about choosing the best singer; it's about finding the singer who appeals the most to those viewers who vote in large numbers, whoever they are, for whatever reason they choose to vote.

Phil at least tends to sing in tune. Lee couldn't sing in tune if you paid him.

Randy's cold, emotionless "nope, not gonna happen. Sorry." was mean. Geez.

How the fuck is Heejun still there? That was so beyond awful there were no words
